I always enjoy George Gula's presentations at National Model Railroad Association "Jamborees" in Pittsburgh. I hope we can start having those again.

I remember a trolley operator telling me and my friends the story of the 1917 trolley Christmas Eve.
We would go to Spinning Wheels skating rink on library rd/ 88 every week and he would talk to us kids and tell us trolley stories.
We weren’t sure if it was true or he was just trying to scare us. That ride threw the tunnel at night was scary and steep.
Buy the way, do you know if it was at night or during the day that the accident happened? Doesn’t seem like much information is available.
We live in Turtle Creek and my brother told me at one time cars ran all night and you could go all the way from Turtle Creek into town.
Pretty cool…. Miss those days in the early 80’s and taking a Street Car from downtown (the streetcar islands) to Castle Shannon….
Last car to town was 12:30……then we would catch a bus to SQ. Hill. 61A or 61C. So much Fun……..Great video…. Thank you…

Even today traffic is 24 hours of chaos!!!! 7 days a week! Especially in Philadelphia, New York, and Chicago as well as Cleveland!

How rude. They didnt let the trolley get its hard earned day off at the beach! Such a shame... it should get more time off.
