Good morning from Australia, you are such an ambassador for Italy, if only UA-cam was around 40 years ago, I would have spoken to my parents and asked why they left this beautiful country, both my parents died over 30 years ago, I would have talked them into going back. I was born in Australia and have been to Italy twice and was meant to have gone again in 2020 but had to cancel because of COVID, loved what I saw when I was there. Have left my run to late, to old now and I don’t have the courage, but I am trying to talk my two children into investing in property in Italy, but I think it is my dream and not theirs. Thanking you, I can still dream and see this beautiful country through your eyes.
Hi Joyce, You are so sweet, thank you so much, I hope to get more time to make people dream about this land. Salento is truly a magic place, brushed by so many cultures through the century. If you ever decide to visit… I am here!! I also love Australia, in 2015 we hired a camper van for 3 months and drove around the small island LOL
What a place! If the furniture was to stay as part of the history of the home that would be even nicer, but of course the owners have to agree. Floors, cupboard, the stable room, even the old motorcycle. Everything is stunning. The backyard is a canvas ready to be painted. I also went to do some research on the town. Dolmen and menhir everywhere, at least twenty five sites to visit. Fascinating! Again, thank you!
Hi Davide, Happy First Day of May!! So; You are Exploring Another Archeological Site in Salento, I am so Amazed how Well preserved the Paintings Frescos in the Ceilings and the Pieces of an 1800’s Bed after so many years!! Like You Said Definitely the Time Stopped!! Have a Lovely Day! Regards from Noriko, Míami
Lovely property which will be magnificent once fully restored. I was going to guess €150,000, though you'd need to spend close to another €100,000 to restore it. How many bedrooms does this property have? By the way, your website doesn't enable us to zoom in on the floorplan which is difficult to make out as it's small.
Your guess is about right! How many bedrooms is difficult to answer, it very much depends on if you build another area in the garden. I think the Floor plan was wrong and got updated today. salentowithlove.com/properties/historic-townhouse-in-giurdignano-2/#prettyPhoto
@@salentowithlove3314 I can see a floor plan on there that looks a bit different to the last one, but when you click on it, instead of enlarging, it takes you to another property, the 4bed mansion in the same town on sale for €395,000. When you click on that property's floor plan, it takes you back to the original property! Not what you intended!

Love this property. Close to the main Piazza too. Dream combination of greenspace, history, and flexibility. The legacy as Davide says! Seems like a property that would be very well positioned to succeed as a holiday home of all varieties. Question for Salento with Love: whats an ideal, central location in Salento? Combining access to Adriatic and Ionian shores, Travel times from Lecce/Brindisi, and the town itself? I would think Maglie, Galatina, Corigliano d'Otranto.. Curious what you guys think!
Hi Brendan, thank you so much for your input and nice comment. My experience regarding location makes me answer this way: The location is connected to the expectations and not to the proximity to an airport or the beach or any other kind of element. Especially important is to understand your objective and desires before the property chooses you.
@@salentowithlove3314 Thank you so much for your insights! I fully understand where you're coming from. Expectation is a powerful factor, indeed. My personal objectives lead me to desire a symbiosis between location and expectation; to perhaps achieve a more balanced asset in the end. I believe it's a very "American" perspective when it comes to real estate.. Perhaps flawed when applied in this context! I know I will need to visit to experience things myself and further grow my understanding.. Thanks for sharing the beauty and history of Puglia and Salento with the world!
