Excellent webinar! Thank you Dr Lamb! Having worked as a vet tech (not with exotics), managed a horse barn with other livestock present, and having kept live reef tanks for years I’m always very cognizant of biosecurity, zoonotic potential, and just how much potentially pathogenic stuff exists in the environment. An ounce of prevention is definitely worth a pound of cure! I do feed and water wild birds but I’m always paranoid about washing my hands throughly and making sure I keep the dirty birdbath water and feeder/bath away from the rest of me and my clothing. I’d love to see a webinar on pet chickens and ducks/geese and what we should be mindful of if you have both those and parrots. I would expect free range chickens/ducks to be very high risk for exposure to wild bird pathogens and perhaps through them your parrots? Are there other risks to parrots from pet chickens/ducks? Or from the parrots to the chickens/ducks?
