I usually have used just velocity altering, transient softening etc for ghost kicks, but that velocity tip with filter was something I gotta start using. Could work nicely with small automation movement on other drum elements too to bring some movement through the track. Keep them tips and tricks videos coming kiitos!
Thanks! Yeah I rarely post on UA-cam but post videos on Patreon 2-4 times a month...just posted a new one today, and a video on my Source Direct remix drops next month. Cheeers :)
I'm probably the insane one here, but I always control the highs of the ghost kicks and ghost snares with a multiband gate, or with a low-pass gate. Also lets me control the amount of hiss and the roughness of the click.
Cheers Jake! I don't post here often, but I've made a TON of content on my Patreon: song walkthrus, videos about drums processing etc. I create for that several times a month, so if you're interested in more fresh content, take a look at my Patreon page :) patreon.com/FanuFatGyver
@@junglejake3310 Yes, I make exclusive content and I don’t want to do stuff for free. I’ve been making electronic music for 32 years and also established myself as a popular engineer. A lot of people want my expertise, and I’ve fully made it my living and can’t say I regret that. Another option would’ve been being a teacher at a school and keep churning out free content but that wasn’t for me.
The filter velocity trick is awesome, didn't know you could do that, thanks for this!
Yeah it’s underrated and underused. Cheers!
Nice work, great attention to detail 👍
Yeh it makes it much more fun and listenable with the nudges
