Kanglayeng Paknam is a traditional steamed and grilled Split Gill Mushroom dish.
Tunghanbi (Tilapia fish) is best eaten fried.
Hentak is a thick fermented paste in Manipuri cuisine made with sun-dried fish powder and the petioles of aroid plants. Hentak is a standard ingredient in Manipuri households, where it is consumed as a condiment. In Manipur, hentak is a homemade preparation that is not produced for commercial markets. It is custom to serve this to expecting mothers and patients in convalescent.
Foods of Manipur is an attempt to showcase various types of traditional Manipuri dishes & cuisines; prepared heartily amidst Manipur nature's abode.

It's not only the taste and the flavour i enjoy and feel... it also remind's me of my childhood days...my mother used to steamed gills mushroom on top of the rice and mixed with chilli, fermented fish and garnished with coriander leaves.i don't know about others but in my family it is kind of forgotten dish.
