@@george.vasilev.reyner1916 Nah, this was a great song to start off (made a lot of others think things were on-track again), but a lot of the other ones on the album were weaker, and so putting this one out left very little for people to look forward to. They produced the odd good song after this, but the pickings were slim. The one with Strid was good.
I really loved SS before but when Roland left i felt that the hope was light out but then the unguided came and there was AWSOMNESS IN THE WORLD AGAIN :D
its amzing, that bands from britain and sweden can the most perfect singing american voice.... and when they talk normal you dont understand a word they say
Well, it's not that bad at all. I remember everyone hating on the band at this point. And I really liked the chorus and the bridge. But yeah, "We Rule the Night" was awful, with one exception. Nathan is a good vocalist, though.
Nuclear Blast Records fucking rocks! A large majority of the bands that are on that label are my favorite bands, these guys of course being one of them.
One of the best vocalists of all time has finally broken free from the chains that bounded and restricted him for years. This man got something precious that HE created ripped from his very fingers and morphed into something that he didn't want at all by fellow band members and record label management, but now, Richard Sjunnesson can rise up and triumph from it all!
I like all of Sonic Syndicate's stuff. I can hear the huge change between old and new, but to me it's all good music. And you guys should appreciate the direction these guys are heading towards. Change is good, so stop being afraid of it and tearing it down, and instead, support the bands that deserves it. Which are Sonic Syndicate, and The Unguided.
Why does everyone have to bash a band when they produce an album whenever they produce an album with a different sound? THEY are the artist, THEY have the freedom to change their sound as much as they want.
This band is kinda crappy now. They used to have great songs. Try listening to The Unguided. Most of the band members from this band went to The Unguided. They're much better than these Monster advertising whores.
+Unguided Reaper You realise this video is 6 years old? You are basicly calling The Unguided member monster advertising whores. As the growler, a guitarist (i think Roger is.) gay..... So please do research before commenting such stupid shit.
I used to hate that Nathan started singing with Sonic Syndicate and hated the new music, but now I love the new Sonic Syndicate and like his songs :D , and ofc The Unguided also rocks!
OMG! This Band Is Still As Good As The Old One! Things Happens And People Would Just Have To Get Used To It! I Like This Band Either Way! Sonic Syndicate FTW!!
I didn't know about this band before and I see a lot of hate comments about people who supposedly left...well they might have been good or whatever, but if you like melodic death metal that actually has some musicality to it, this is good. and I don't care if it's whatever be it mainstream or not hardcore enough for some people or whatever..... this is good
I remember liking this song and Rebellion in Nightmareland a lot not even knowing it was Nathan singing and still to love them, how ever any other song from his and it's a hard no. Can't beat the old singers.
Oh my god. I have just been checking out new music and stumbled on these guys. They are Fricken amazing. And there sound is unbelievable. I think I just found my new fav band. Sick
I know this is the song that made people not like this band anymore, but I still think this song is definitely one of the best songs with Nathan and you can't deny the music video is really good. you can tell a lot of work was put into this video.
Sonic Syndicate and all of this other "new" metal used to be great to me when I was around the age of 16, but man it leaves so much to be desired. You guys that think this is the best shit ever sure are missing out on a lot. Try dipping your toes into some Prog, imo, that's where the best shit is at.
The New Sonic Syndicate rocks! Black and Blue, Beaty and the Freak, Revolution Baby, Turn it Up and this track. They have alot of good new songs. Whats wrong with you and the old Sonic?
@WolfieboyMachi Wow, way to lay to him. The Unguided is a new band made from former Sonic Syndicate members. What you see right now in this video in Sonic Syndicate, and I think it's pretty badass.
No more brainwashed, backstabbing, band members are limiting his vocal abilities or rewriting his innovative lyrics now, no more crooked record labels are leaving him completely out of the creative process or forcing him to change how he creates music now. Richard Sjunnesson is now free for eternity, free to once again take over the Melodic Death Metal scene, this time around, with the Unguided!
@Raktoner Well the thing is that they already were pretty damn popular. They were signed to Nuclear Blast after all, and had done at least one world tour already. That's not something just any band can do. I understand that you don't like the hate, but you do understand it though, right? Personally, I don't think the new material is abysmal. I could probably listen to most of the new stuff casually. But it's not Sonic Syndicate. I will drop this when they change their name to something else.
I'm not saying it does. It just genuinely sounds like them. As for listening to them bands, I do listen to Sybreed, Neurotech and both of Sonic Syndacate's old and new stuff. Never heard of Skiller.
Change is sometimes a good thing, we all have our opinions, why not just keep them to ourself's. It is a tragedy Richard left, but I don't think SS will die, they're still great, and they will get through it.
I actually really like this new vocalist...and I think they took a good step forward musically. They changed their sound to fit the new member, and didn't try to be something that they aren't anymore. I still prefer the old singer, sure, but what can you do? Bands have to change and adapt:) The only thing I don't like is that guitar tone... but that's just my personal preference! You guys rock! Always have, always will;)
Even if i did not like We Rule The Night, in my opinion Nathan's voice is incredibly good. This song is not on the Album, but when Roland had already left, the Burn This City EP came out and was awesome and I hope their next Album will be like this and not like We Rule The Night. And I also hope that The Unguided will do songs like old Sonic Syndicate. Sonic Syndicate Rocks, Nathan Rocks, Roland Rocks, Richard Rocks, they are all amazing.
@Bludhoundz8 Not true, the only thing Robin is being blamed for is because, when Roland left he signed a contract giving aways his rights to SS's songs. When he later with The Unguided wanted to perform old SS's songs they couldn't. So they gave a contract to the SS members and everyone signed, except Robin, NB was forcing them to change the music and when that happend Richard left.
@EmoDemonification no, SS died when Richard left it too, the SS a MELODIC DEATH METAL BAND, but it isn't melodic death metal, aften Nathan, it turned pop, isn't Nathan the problem, the problem is the new style...Fortunately Roland, Richard and Roger formed The Unguided, and it's rising- the Green Eyed Demon and the Pathfinder are great songs--->check it out!
@yonathanro1 your right....i mean there is some flaws with what your saying i mean the vocals are REALLY important to a band.......and changing that can change the whole bands identity....but THis guy does a good job of filling the old dudes shoes.......so i agree their still doing great
@skyworldz Think it is. When i saw them live 4-5 days ago this MONSTER truck (not a monstertruck) with all the monster logos on gave out free monsters ;)
Once a great band, but this is where the downfall began. "Love And Other Desasters" was a masterpiece. But since Roland Johansson has left the band, somrthing gone broken beyond repair. If a new album comes out one day, i will give them another chance. I hope that it will be as great as the second and the third album, but still i do not expect much.
@metalmastiff619 wtf are you talking about he didnt go to inflames at all he was supposed to have a side project wih jesper from inflames back in 2009 but that never happened and when richard left SS he formed the unguided with roland and roger, also their are no orginal vocalists left in SS anymore
Old SS fan, this song brings back the nostalgia, but right after this song SS died.
Word. Have you listened to their self titled record? I never have. Although I wonder if it retained any of the old sound that made SS glorious.

Who's still listening in 1973?
Nathan has a lot of different vocal styles, he's pretty impressive.
Nathan has a great voice. But nobody could ever replace Roland. THE UNGUIDED!
