I always prefer thin and lightweight phones. The last phone I bought (Galaxy A50s) was only due to this rather than any specs. Due to this, I don't even use tampered glass or back cover because they make the device kind of bulky and take away that good feel of using a thin and light phone. Skins are perfect for me in this case.
Coming to online stores, the first skin I bought was from wrapcart and as you showed, the quality was not that good. th eskin wasn't even properly glued. But their other skins (laptop skins etc) were a lot better. But it's fine ayways considering they're the cheapest out there.
Also one thing. After long time using, dust particles accumulates inside back cover. These leave marks on the back of phone. Skins are useful for saving back of the phone from that.
For plastic back a plastic film will be helpful for long term protection from scratch (cover is more important)
9:20 That was me for many years. I would remove back cover in functions because my phone's looks were better without it. But, now I have bought a good looking silicone cover and no longer require removing it.

As far as I've noticed even with back cover my new phone starts to get minor scratches in day one like a tiny dot and the colour fades time to time so skin helps for keeping the phone in mint condition as back cover has slight gap which enables the dirt to enters easily. Skin protects back of the phone rather than just for beauty.

instead of direct you can put lamination type of thing on body one of my friend did that for phone's physical condition so that whenever he goes to sell it he gets the best price

Using wrapcart skin since September 2021 for my iphone 12 and experience is awesome and there is no issue till now 😃
I personally feel tempered glass plus a case makes any phone too bulky, and increases weight significantly. After using iphone for almost 8 years when I switched to android and as soon as I slapped a case to my phone it felt like a mid ranger android phone without any thought returned the case immediately, and the case completely killed the premium feel of the phone. In the case of iphones due to the OS it feels okay even with a case.
So for a careful user it is best to stick to a skin just to protect the back panel from scratches to fetch maximum price on exchange, pitty that we buy such good Engineered products and never get the feel of what we have spent for by applying screen gaurds and cases on phones.
It is better to be a careful user and use phones without any cases skins or tempered glass.
It also increases your grip if you want to use your phone without a case. Using it since 2018 on different phones.

I don't know why but my device gets marks and scratches even with a case. I guess it would be better to protect the paint by applying a cheap skin and then use that case over it for safety purpose.
It might reduce the uneasiness i feel when I see those little scratches 😂

The only reason to apply skins is to hide a broken glass back... I can't afford to change the back glass of my 2 year old phone because it doesn't make sense(kuch dino me badalna hi to hai)
I use a transparent skin on my redmi note 10 pro to protect from scratches and fingerprint smudges. not necessarily for looks. works great. Bought it from amazon for just 185/-

I have previously used Gadgetshieldz skinnova skin and it was very good. The adhesive on that was probably way better than all of these. These got removed fairly easily. But I could use it only because it was a lightweight plastic build phone. Now I have a glass and metal build 200 grams phone and I must have back cover instead of skin otherwise its too risky because i keep dropping it

I've been using skins in my phones since last 3 years. Mainly to get rid of slippery, glossy back panels.
I had a black OnePlus 7 pro, a textured black skin provides really good grip. I used the honeycomb skin from Capes india. It was soft to touch and didn't get worn out in it's entirety of usage. Doesn't slide out of pocket.
When you remove the skin does it get stick to the back panel of phone?

I use skin just to get aesthetic look and protect the back from scratches and dust. It's okay to use skin instead of back case for budget phones.
Sir, I guess even if someone purchases a mid range phone they are going to use it atleast for 2-4 years and in that time period many owners can get bored of the default colour aur design so they can use skins to change the look of their device or to protect back panel from scratches (using a skin with minimal pattern & transparent ). Well nice video. Also I recommend phones to my friends after watching your reviews🙂😅 so pls continue on making them

Another important thing is wraps can hinder the cooling process of the phone. That can lead to heating issues which will lead to thermal throttling. One of my friends wrapped the back of realme 6 almost a year ago, just after buying the phone. He constantly complained about terrible heating issues in his phone, was about buy a new phone. But when he pulled the wrap off of his phone, the heating issues disappeared, and he's still using the phone until now, no heating issues whatsoever.

Back skin is very important for people who want their velvet touch back to be smooth like a glass back. I have installed a transparent back skin on my xiaomi 12 Pro and now its stupid velvet feel back has again become smooth and I am able to use my mobile without any back cover. earlier with the velvet touch it was very slippery and was not able to use it without back cover. Actually I purchased poco m4 pro in flipkart bbd sale and i got delivered it on 28th sep and after then I recharged it 3 times and everytime it took around 1.45 -2 hrs to charge it only from 20 to 90 but the same phone my brother is using which takes only one hours to charge from 10-95. And in UA-cam videos also it take around 1h 15m to charge completely.So is my charger faulty or my phone what should I do now please help sir pls reply
Many phones comes with back glass, so the glass may get scratches, so due to this the back skins or transparent skins are good to go for protecting glass back, some phones also have metal type finishing which get weird spots due to environment.

I think skins are more logical for other devices, say PlayStation and laptops where there are no other options for protection and their performance will be hindered with any thick protection. For smartphones, specifically premium smartphones, you can rather get funky cases, if you are okay with thickness being increased.

I feel that the midrange or budget phones are more design centric. Primium phones are more classy. So no point in using these skins. Best thing is to use a TRANSPARENT back cover. Because the design provided by company is ultimate.

The skins from wrapcart are very thin which doesn't provide a good in-hand feel, i have used a skin from wrapcart and removed it in under 3months. Now I'm using a customized skin from offline market for around an year which is thicker and better than wrapcart and provides good in-hand feel too.

I recommend to use Transparent sheet on back to protect your Phone back glass and then use a cover as well, if you use only cover ,after sometime your phone back get scratches by that cover, so avoid these scrates, we should use sheet
