This was the first real atv race I ever attended I was 15 years old and rode a Blaster.. I had been following atv racing thru videos and magazines for about 5 years.. I was lucky enough to watch the second legends @the 50th anniversary of Pinelake.. Thanks for everything you've done for our sport Wes!!
These guys are great riders and great guys as well! I have spent some time with most of them and have been honored to have shared the track with many of them as well.
Really great video that brings back lots of great memories. I knew some of these guys over 35 years ago. Used to race converted KX80 ATC and then quads for Kawasaki a long time ago. Had the privilege of Curtis Sparks working on some of my bikes. Very nice guy. Good to see him and others in this video.
@@WesMiller70 Mostly California... Indian Dunes, Ascot, Palmdale, San Jose, Marysville, Corona, Carlsbad.. I'm getting old and forgetful lol but lots of places. How about you?
Nice, I think you started racing short course a little earlier than me. I ran ARA in Barstow and then Barona, Carlsbad, Glen Helen, Perris, and later Mickey's.@@WatchCaliforniaExpat
@WesMiller70 you are a god...watching huevos as a kid I said one day ill have a 250r..its been a wild ride since! thank you for the inspiration to make my dream come true and owning one of the badest quads around.
2016 was the last year of the famous bowl turns I was the last person to win on a 250r with the old track design. I won the open 2 stroke class on a 265 vs quadzillas, banshees, and 363cc big bore 250rs.. probably one of the biggest highlights of my racing career and definitely my favorite track.. I raced a 250r trike @ the 50th anniversary.. if it wasn't for you and kanga I don't know if I would have gotten involved in the sport like I did.. I was a dirtbike kid until I discovered the quatros locos film at the honda shop.. I wish I could have rode with you guys back in the day..
The memories unlocked watching these Legends videos has been so cool. When the Legends race was in dirt wheels that was one of my favorite articals. Keep the old videos coming. I hope all the media stuff your trying to get going works out for you i sure have enjoyed them.
Dude! I used to watch your videos when I was a kid had the huevos 1-3 box set. We rode hard as kids, I actually ended up building a 400ex race bike and raced TT nationals at Ashtabula in 2012 . I believe Harold goodman and Tim farr were there that year riding 450rs. I think that was also the year they brought back the 3 wheelers on TT
Your one of the greatest ambassadors of our sport u need to be indoctrinated into the motoX hall of fame mate ! Anyone who races quads in Australia knows who u are ! John Maragozidis is our greatest ambassador for quad racing here and the founder of quads at Finke desert race ! Then there’s Matt Kanga world renowned stuntman on a quad and in the UK 🇬🇧 AS A SHOW exhibition doing it all for charity! Both these guys should be recognised on a world platform ! Keep up the great work Wes god bless in Jesus name amen 🙏

It was cool interviewing them back then. Glad I found the footage. I remember some kids racing the KX 80’s back in the day.
@@WesMiller70 Glad you found the footage too. I had one of the KX80 converted ATCs that Tom Burba of Pro Design used to make. Good times.
@@WatchCaliforniaExpat cool, where did you race?

That's pretty cool that you were able to do that. I haven't been back there in a long time. I did destroy a rental car coming out of the bowl though!
