I just experienced for the first time hand feeding hummingbirds! I love it! I am now living in the Tucson area from Cleveland, Ohio! Thanks for sharing your video!
I got it to land on my finger! But we live in PA, and the only kind we get are the Ruby Throated. Looks like you get a lot more. Keep trying! You feel stupid doing it, but they have to get used to seeing you. Hope by now you were able to get them to come to your cup. Great idea, especially with that volume of hummers!

As a kid I would catch hummingbirds by hand by snatching them as they were hovering at a leaky water faucet. I ended with a 1qt Mason jar full of them (6 or 8). I kept them as a trophy to show my friends for awhile (an hour)...then released them. None died or were harmed. Perhaps a bit traumatized but not physically harmed.
