I see even some nature god can't erase Poland. Even after a reset of civilization and some countries no longer exist, Poland still stands.
Just got here on official release, have never heard of this one, but I'm already amused just by this comment.
Polish blood be proud, never heard of this one but by your comment I know im going to like it. I'm really proud of my Polish heritage despite the many stereotypes. Us surviving in the scp universe makes me a little happy lol.
Hail Chernobog.
Goes to show that Poland is too stubborn and persistent to let itself crumble. Respect!
Ok so we didn't "survive" but we came back so that counts lol
the biggest anomaly is someone in Poland having Williams as a last name
I worked with a British and two American expats living in Warsaw before. It happens.
Truer words have yet to be spoken
Actually thats the legit translation in polish to for the last name. You do realize that the polish language is a relatively modern thing right? See back in the day there was this thing called Latin.... everybody spoke it for the most part. Except maybe the poorest folks. Poland spoke LATIN for hundreds of years. William is from the Latin Erwilian (see sir William and the shepherds daughter for reference, or the song the royal forester.) so it's completely likely there's polish Williamses, that absolutely is a thing. William comes from latin which Poland certainly spoke. I'm such a dork lol.
@@unclesham5507polish is as old as any other indo european language, poles spoke latin in medieval times because it was a international language back than, the same way modern poles speak english as their secondary language, there is no polish counterpart to william, the closest thing would be Wilhelm which comes from german, Wilchelmkiewicz sounds rather obscure, and if this was his surname then it shouldn't be translated to williams
@@unclesham5507 have you heard the joke, "US educational system"?
My eyes went wide when you mentioned kudzu. Not even the end of the world could stop the hellvine.
It can stand any thing but goats. It doesn't like being grazed.
At least it's edible. If you have to have an invasive weed overtaking anything, the best you can ask is for it to be edible.
this anomaly makes plants grow faster, so...
i hate that plant so much
i'd trim that thing for an entire day and a week later it'd already overtaken the house
"Poland has been erased from global consciousness" Ah shit, here we go again, I swear, that's like the 6th time...
Hi, friends! Just wanted to pop in and say I'm one of the three rascals that wrote this little thing over here. Cannot put into words how cool it is to see my work not only covered by TES but also enjoyed by its audience. Thanks, y'all! :)
Thank you and the two others who put this together. I had such a wonderful time listening to this SCP, very well done!!
amazing work Ralliston!
@@grave7948 it's an amazing scp. Truly one of my favourites now with scp 5000
Hell yeah! Tell those other dirty cohorts of yours how much we all appreciated this.
Here's another thanks coming your way lol
i love the repeat at the end. super effective!
>all of poland is overgrown with anomalous plantlife
>veil remains intact
"At this point, only those with specialized training in counter-memetics are even capable of perceiving Poland"
Is there like an SCP out of context subreddit or Twitter account or something?
@scpooc on Twitter
This is more context than you need. Poland isn’t real and never was.
"it was all fun and games until the weird forest started producing sapient anomalies."
Worse. Its an ancient George W. Bush joke.
"You forgot Poland!"
@@dr.rodabthicc 20:34
Sweet, found this just as I was about to go to bed. Always love falling asleep to these then starting from the beginning when I wake up to find out what I missed
is there a better way to watch these?
Lol saaaame 😂
TheVolgun is great to drift off to also!
I have chronic insomnia so I envy you bastards!
This is about as subtle as Fernguly with it's message.
Some things are best left obvious.
Perhaps, but just like Fern Gully it's words shouldn't be ignored
"the expungement of Poland from the collective unconscious" is an amazing phrase
Another entry in the _"mysterious log about an anomaly destroying an alternate Earth because humans bad"_ category.
Good.
This sounds like it would fit together with SCP-4001, "Alexandria eternal", quoted from the 4001 file itself, "attempt to explore below the floor of SCP-4001. Carpet knives, axes and a jackhammer were brought inside SCP-4001 under careful supervision of the archivists, and a patch of carpet measuring 1m x 1m was cut from the floor near Base Camp. The carpet was raised without difficulty, revealing a concrete floor covered in a layer of ash."
“All this has happened before, and all of it will happen again.” Only this time, Nature isn’t willing to let us nuke ourselves in the first place.
You had me worried for a minute you'd need another week, but instead, we're blessed by your greatness.
This is the most heavy handed "humans are the real virus" story
Reality is the most heavy handed "humans are the real virus" story.
So humans wanted to leave the planet but the SCP was like "nope", what an ass.
Why didn't they just try leaving vis teleportation
@@apexhunter935 heh? who says they have that tech
@@d4s0n282 they have that tech but it cost a lot of energy, and every time they use it, reality doesn't feel so good. And it is 100% non-anomaly.
Foundation is evil, they don't deserve to leave. Awful
Not really lol
As a gas engineer that works on boilers daily I can tell you with 100% certainty that this is what happens! That's why our training is so intense and rigid. We train with the foundation and have to pass with 100% pass mark. Gas doesn't expload but it will bring back extinct animals.
A good cautionary tale about the danger nature poses to humanity and why it needs to be brought to heel
ehh
Then God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth.
The fear and dread of you will fall on all the beasts of the earth, and on all the birds in the sky, on every creature that moves along the ground, and on all the fish in the sea; they are given into your hands.
Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.
20:41 I can’t believe it got Anaheim Electronics, surely a Gundam would be pretty effective at controlling the plant growth
Anybody else thinks this sounds curiously like the plot of "Annihilation" The dome = The shimmer, flora and fauna "amalgamations" (just saying) lol
Ok, why is the Polish Machinist named Williams? Was Williams just a typical Polish name 50,000 years ago?
Propably no
@@JakubKornatowski may be analog of ILYA, as it somewhat spelled similarly (wILL'IAms - ILL'IA, уИЛЬЯмс - ИЛЬЯ)
Time traveller.
Maybe it's a bit of audience translation.
As someone who is part polish, I can confirm all our names start with W and have lots of ys, zs, and ks. Names Wyzik(pronounced Y-zik), I’ve met one person who pronounced it correctly.
Kudzu is invasive to the Southern United States. It is indigenous to East Asia and was introduced in the 1876 Continental Exposition and Chicago's 1893 World Fair. During the Dust Bowl (1930's-1940's) it was marketed as a solution for Soil Erosion, and Farmers bought in. It now covers large swaths of the South Eastern United States, entirely swallowing some communities. Once established, it grows at a rate of nearly a foot a day (30.5 cm) and most animals won't touch it. It would not surprise me at all if it was marketed to farmers in other regions and was able to take hold.
you know in asia its cooked and eaten right?
@@HiragamaIkunai True, but Americans love booorgers !!!
@@HiragamaIkunai I can't imagine it tasting good in any sort of form considering only graze animals eat it
@@cplpetergriffin1583 it has a bitter taste its usually used in old traditional salad like dishes in asia
when eaten by people.
based superior plant. it also makes tea.
Best part of monday morning, is some Exploring the SCP Foundation content.
I'd just immediately start building space ships the second I see the last entry in the in the document. Better safe than sorry.
One MTF said it was kudzu growing everywhere. If you know anything about Kudzu at all, this isn't an anomaly. Someone brought it to Poland and it just took over. Becasuse thats what Kudzu does. Release the goats, they'll clean it up in a few weeks lol.
the scp foundation trying and succeeding to "delete" poland is the funniest thing ive seen in the scp universe
Welcome back my dude. Thank you for all the work and effort you put into this channel.
Biological agriculture domes as a concept is fascinating
On another note, I’m suprised reality benders weren’t used against this, or even just low level thaumatergists
(Pardon me they tried to contact it with them)
Honestly the spaceship should’ve been the first attempt
(My inane ramblings continue)
Because it’s one of those shitty “return to monke” stories made by people who don’t want to preserve some of the environment(there must be industry, cities, and roads but having things like forests, parks, and rural areas is good)but instead written by people who want to do shit like ban air travel because Gaia. Of course the people who are the villains in this story won’t be written to be intelligent, never mind where the other gods or god-like beings are.
they could have asked Cain to do a little stroll around the place and be done with it, but this skip is definitely one of the "nature good, hooman bad" ones. I'm surprised no one was turned into sentient plants or somethings. Also, when TES read the part about Mother Nature saying she would remove the "poison" from humanity, my immediate response was "Is that a challenge?!"
Ok boomer.@@aveimperator1748
SCP-6789 tl;dr: Reject modernity, embrace primitivism
And they didn't even a nuclear holocaust to do so. Bravo.
nature is healing, we are the virus
Although the monkey men were allowed to build mega-structures
Tbh more like "Nature is healing, we are the virus."
@@diobrando2160 Ones made out of plants and animals, so I guess it was allowed since was technically natural.
It's kind of horrifying the extent the 05s were willing to go to beat this thing. Seemed more about ego than normalcy. It's kind of comforting that the anomaly sprung up again. It's like no matter how many times humans fuck up, mother nature keeps coming back to put us in a time out. Always before the space age really kicks off, like a mother not ready for the kids to leave the nest lol.
Yeah, kinda like a mother that’s too overprotective.
Thank you for moving this amazing world to something i can listen to every day no matter how dark the story i love every one thank you for everything you do your apriciated by so manny plz dont stop
What I don’t get is that if the foundation has been resetting humanity seemingly with SCP 2000 for millennia or I guess 50,000 years in the case of the files at least and essentially repeating the same century or two over and over wouldn’t they start to notice that the earth itself/constellations are changing even if time isn’t passing for humanity itself since they keep dying and being reborn time still passes for the rest of the universe leaving noticeable signs telling the foundation how long they’ve been doing this
50,000 years isn't alot in universe terms
You know, at first, these 6000-6999 entries that followed the contest's theme of "nature restoring itself cuz humanity sucks" were nice, but they're beginning to get old. I've seen some people ask that we stop it with the contest themes, but I have a different suggestion. Make the themes *WAY, way* more vague. Idk what exactly the contest's theme was this time but it had to be too strict. I think something like "(Re?)turning To A New State" would allow for so much more freedom of interpretation. Let's hope the 7k-7999 contest tries something like this.
Actually I think the theme was just “Nature” in general, like the articles had something to do with nature in some form such as plants, the animal kingdom, or geology.
@@undeadprinceofchaos3731 Hm. In that case, I don't know what to say.
I blame it on the hype over "humanity bad", and more specific to the wiki, the "Foundation bad" trope. WE're getting a lot more of those where the Foundation is not only cartoonishy villainous, it is also pretty incompetent.
@@sparking023 "humanity bad" is pretty much a proven fact in real life though. Climate change is a thing, you know.
@@olivercharles2930 eh, "climate change" is a natural process of the planet. If you're referring to the *accelerated* process caused by the liberation of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases *in excess* in the last 100 or so years due to the Industrial Revolution then...
You would still be wrong. People back then had no idea of the full extent the exploration of natural resources would cause. The technology back then was limited and not as efficient as today, and even so, it wasn't all of humanity, but a group of individuals who spearheaded the technological development of mankind. In fact, their actions are why you and I have internet, computers, smartphones, modern clothes, electricity, concrete walls, modern piping, heat and cooling, electricity, antibiotics, plenty of food and clean water. Basically everything that allows you to sit comfy while you cast judgement on an entire species based on actions already taken. Plus, it completely ignores all the good humanity does.
So no, "Humanity Bad" is not a proven fact. It's not even close to a hypothesis. Humanity First always.
*THE EMPEROR PROTECTS*
So - SCP-6789 is basically SCP-1000 continued and *effectively* neutralized by SCP-2000, and what makes it ironic is that that the monkeys knew that it would happen.
How fitting. Here I am, having helped create a new life, preparing to have my first child (a little girl), and here comes one of my favorite SCP Channels with a whole video on SCP's that create new life. Thank you, my friend.
Hey man i wanna say thank you for all of these lovely readings that i can put on when I’m wanting to nap. They’re great
Say what you want about humanity, there is one thing everyone can agree on. That the Rollander General Steel factory is inevitable.
I like the idea that all of human history has been a battle between SCP-2000 and what is essentially Mother Nature's SCP-2000.
2000 being my favorite article, I guess I just really like the "humanity has gone extinct before" aspect of these stories.
I'd love an animated series of an interdimensional tour through some of these timelines.
@matthew king link?
@@mikeswanson179 I was kinda asking for one myself.
You are, by far, my favorite content creator with regards to the SCP Foundation. You also are the reason I got into Warhammer 40k. Keep on being awesome! 😎
I haven't slept in 3 days, I just can't have no idea why. I'm usually so interested in your videos that I've never fallen asleep to them. But I see so many comments saying you help them sleep so I hoping like hell that works for me tonight lol.

Try using an episode you've heard before, that helps for me
Nope still awake lol, just too interesting
Good luck bromeo
what I don't get is that if the anomaly is spherical in nature, how is it being contained just by burning it's fringes on the ground?
Ah yes, another “foundation/human bad, nature good, return to monke” 6000 contest article.
At least this one’s backstory is interesting.

Why does this sound like a neo-Druid got their hands on the screenplay to the movie Annihilation and re-worked it for release to a paranormal obsessed nudist colony?
Thank you for keeping my creativity and drive to create alive. Whether a failed story idea or a genius script I managed to code, you are the driver of my motivation. Thank you very much for these in depth stories and case reports.
Thanks so much for covering this one, I believe I recommended it like half a year ago lmao. Big fan man keep it up
"The message was just one word, repeated over and over. 'Return, return, return.' What do you think it means?"
"It means: 'Dear humanity, we return being alien bastards. We return comin' to Earth and we most definitely return the corp just blew up our raggedy ass fleet!"
I think it means to return to living among nature instead of against it.
HOO-RAH!
Perfect way to continue the holiday weekend! So excited
I havent been here in awhile and im glad i rediscovered your channel!! Youve been one of my favorite youtubers!!!
This one was fantastic. Love the ambient music too.

2:05 not realy because in the article it was said that the factory was 50km north of Kraków and Częstochowa is located 50km north of Kraków.
My question is where was the broken gods influence in all this. Despite being fractured it certainly never stopped meddling before. I hate to say it but this one is kinda silly given the number of other beings that exist on a similar scale and would definitely take umbrage with this being's actions.
the wiki is fragmented. unless the author specifically mention it, you can assume every scp is an isolated thing from the larger concepts like deities such as Mekhane, Yaldabaoth, Scarlet King, Hanged King, and so on
Well humanity does seem to be doing a lot better this compared to the old files. From the descriptions, the absolute worst populated place in this world was what most of that Earth was like and some places were much, much worse. sm
damn, that repeat at the end was super effective. loved this one
Can’t say this enough I love your intros and the way you set the scenes and tone for these SCPs.

Exploring with you shows just how much Dora does not actually explora as much as she likes to believe. Leaving the true title to you!
what?
@@mud4309 Wdym what? Makes perfect sense to me /j Full seriousness tho, I think what this person means is that despite both Dora The Explorer & The Exploring Series having some variant of "Explore" in their name, TES really goes deep into what he talks about on the channel while Dora barely scratches the surface
Perfect timing as per usual
SCP Foundation: Has a giant reset button for when the world ends...
Mother Nature: Hold my beer.
Odds: Seriously, you're going to ask the question? This is the SCP universe we're talking about. I roll snake eyes aaallll the time!
But seriously, the mainline foundation would have learned its lesson the first time the anomaly expanded. But its kinda clear this isn't the mainline foundation. The mainline foundation is looking at the file tens of thousands of years later. Love the equivalent of Tuvalu, which is being destroyed by sea level rise IRL.
That said, IRL the equivalent of mother nature "running a fever" is far, far, far more horrifying and bloody. Look up an event called "The Great Dying" 250 million years ago. It began with a volcanic eruption in Siberia that covered most of it to the depth of the empire state building. The remains of this eruption can be found west of Lake Bikal in the form of massive basalt formations called the Siberian Traps. It triggered massive die offs of plant and animal life, acid rain, massive swings of climate, an eruption of methane from the ocean bottom, and at the end of the event that methane lead to an oceanic anoxic event. The oceans lost all their oxygen and microbes that live in anerobic conditions, eat methane, and spew out hydrogen sulphide gas spread and proliferated, killing most of life in the oceans and leading to the formation of a massive amount of pyrite. At the end of it, the temperature had risen 15 degrees C above pre industrial normal and 95% of life on Earth at the time had been extinct. It didn't happen all at once, rather, just like this SCP the aftereffects of the eruption slowly crept along, leaving three distinct extinction pulses.
This is the worst case scenario with climate change, because the first extinction pulse happened after a 5 degree C rise in temperature caused by CO2 emitted by the volcano as well as heavy metals that came up with the eruption and spewed into the air. Right now our CO2 emissions are on track to equal that eruption in volume, but happen at a far more rapid pace.
