    Man I wish I watched this video 10 hours ago. The owners manual states that the oil drain plug needs to be tightened to 22ft-lbs… which is a lot for a bike. I followed instructions and cracked my oil pan. Thanks Kawasaki 👍

    I’m having a shifting problem with my 22 z650. It’s right around the same mileage as yours was in this video. I can’t seek to figure it out but it tends to grind some times when trying to leave neutral

      Take a look into your clutch adjustment? Sounds like it need to be tightened up

    Great job with the oil filter. Yes you want to add some fresh oil to the filter and lube the ring! 👍

    How often do I have to change my oil? (also a z650)

  • @jjenningsoh
    @jjenningsoh Рік тому

    Hey before you finish real quick… don’t use full synthetic until after 1,000 miles. Helps seal the rings more better.

    My bike won’t start now. Do you need to pour oil into the filter before you put it back on?

      That would be recommended. Not necessarily required.

    Did your oil turn black on start up

    • @ez_tz3561
      @ez_tz3561  2 роки тому

      Good question!
      Right after an oil change, it should not go to completely black....if you changed it and you are just looking through the glass on the side, it will appear black though. Kind of tricky...

    So I bought a used 2023 z650 with 200 miles on it from my buddy. And put 200 miles on it and I changed the oil at 400 miles. When I was draining the old oil it was sparkly in the jug I was dumping it in. Is that normal for the first oil change?

    • @joshualong1796
      @joshualong1796 8 місяців тому

      Yes the first will usually have a little debris as the engine is new and getting all that factory stuff out

    Hey bro im looking into getting an aftermarket magnetic plug what specs am i looking for m12 or m14 x1.5? aslo the gasket. Please help if you have any info. great video as well

    • @ez_tz3561
      @ez_tz3561  2 роки тому +1

      The M12 or M14 is just the wrench size you end up using on it. The important part is x1.5 make sure you get that!
      Are you going magnetic?

      @@AlBaNiAnGaNgStA93 good question. I'm nor 100% certain. You can go to a local Autozone, Napa, any autopart store and get both the magnetic plug and gasket size. I purchased a universal washer set with like 5 different types & sizes for about $3-$5

    That Mobil oil is garbage. Switch to the Kawa oil & filter and you will feel a marked difference when shifting. Owned 2015 Z1000 (2) and 2015 Ninja 1000 (1) .
