Notice when the pads go on, all those detailed self-defense techniques dissolve into basically kickboxing. Choreography and fighting are two different things.

Im glad you pointed out. Kenpo karate, kung fu and kajukenbo has a lot of these "self-defense" stuff based on choreography.
Karate (shotokan for example), Tang Soo Do and TKD has less emphasis on these types of stuff although they still have it too.
A lot of these choreography are low-percentage bag of tricks on the side and sparring techniques are the real ones. But Kajukenbo, kung fu and Kenpo karate put too much emphasis on them.

Pretty good moves. Looks effective! Some Kajukenbo schools has moves that look ineffective. Also original Kajukenbo was tested in street

So cant say all Kajukenbo schools are very effective. Its a Philosophy and not so much a style. Like not all Boxing clubs the same since some put out champion fighters and some schools never do.

This Hapkido instructor was doing the parry punch/catch and twist - I told him I don't think u could do that as a punch is too fast (unless the person doesn't know how to punch) - we tested his technique - out of 10 tries, he caught my arm ZERO times.

Bj bel techniques mais ce sont des technique de Penchak silat self defence mais le kajukenbo ressemble fort au Penchak si les deux se rassemblerait sa ferait une très belle defence.martialement
