1:5 Toy Hauler, Schottky and Decagon

- Remember the poll last fall? This truck is the ''mystery project''!
It is made from a stretched Savage XL and a printed body with aluminium braces inside. The truck is over 4 feet long, and weighs over 50 lb when fully loaded with both sleds! It barely fits in a normal door!
Both snowmobiles are made by me, and performed really well in the deep powder. You can see the difference weight and power do in the exact same snow. Decagon (white and gold) has a lot of power, but it comes at a cost of it being heavier. Schottky (blue and green) does not have as much power, but floats easily over the snow and does not get stuck as easily.

I went in Alberta, Canada last fall, I've met some awesome people and discovered a lot of very nice places. During my trip with our local host, I discovered this gem of a song. they need a little weight on a shaft or something that you can move left to right with the controller so you could lean it like a real sled that would.
but yea that thing eats the snow
@@Jake_Hynds pascal has kinda tried that but it raises the center of gravity and makes it difficult to even drive, ive tried it also

Love the sleds! However you should maybe think about added a spring to the skis so they stay straight(inline with the whole sled) so when you wheel it one will look better and land better. Just an idea 🤷🏻♂️

Coming from messenger just taking about the track with you. lol, great video. This work is amazing. I remember the Og days before 3D printer and the old work shop. The first Polaris skid was definitely something compared to these animals!
I will try to vary more materials with future builds. Less plastic and more fancy aluminium, carbon and brass!

These are absolutely amazing I bought a hobby grade nitro rc sled it’s fast if u can get it to move in the snow it’s heavy and tippy but these electric sleds are rippers I was thinking of trying to mod my rc sled with a gyro from a drone for stability I have rc crotch rocket with gyro it doesn’t tip at all

Damn dude. Quick question, is there any difference between schotty and decadon? Cuz they both seem very similar. Anyways, badass video like usual!
they both have their build series. decagon is a lot heavier, and a lot more powerfull, while schottky is made as light as possible, but has less power. you can even see it in the video. they both drive in the snow, but in a completely different way...
A bit of fishing line as a limiting strap to the skis might help them from tipping back a bit to far and it would be hard to see keep up the good work those things are awsome
