Don't worry Tango gave me the artifake later - I always forget that kind of thing!
I literally just screamed at my screen. Thank you for adding this.
literally came to the comments hoping to see this haha, glad to hear it :)
Oh my gosh I was hoping he'd do that. Lol Tango's message about the "Rainbow and Unicorn runs are over on level three". At least you had an awesome last run before the dungeon master makes it even harder.
Cheers to Tango
I uncontrollably yelled "YOU FOOL" when you jumped down without the artifact lol
Grian doing all his runs on the last day is typical "Back of the Base" energy.
procrastination
Truly.
Accurate
Yes
It’s also Etho whenever he has to make roof over his base.
I can't help but feel that Grian calling them Raviolis is a long con to get Tango to name one Ravioli
It is
oh man, tango acepted that a while ago.
It would be funny if Tango named a ravager lasagna
It 100% is, he mentioned in a previous run
Raviolis stuffed with hermits :D
I love that the witch is placed so she’s basically laughing at parkour fails 😂
Does the witch come out at max clank or is it there just so the noise scares players?
@@itsnihliz it’s just atmosphere afaik
@@kierianiis for now...
I'm sure there was some plan for it originally. Maybe the intent was slowness potions while crossing the dripstone, but the chance of poison or damage instead was too punishing?
@@diggoran Tango doesn't want to just flood the dungeon with random mobs. He wants to adhere to a theme.
@@Xeroxias yeah I get that, but the witch has to be there and nametagged for a reason. I know he experimented with their ability to heal ravagers, but later learned that they only do it when the ravagers are at 1-2 health so it's pretty impractical. I'm not sure if that's why that witch is there though.
Grian "I know whos artifact this is for i really want to get this out"....Grian than proceeds to not get artifake
Yh I think Tango would give him one tho
he'll just have to keep running deadly until he gets another one ;)
I saw that too😬
Tango gave the artifake back to Grian
@stelmaria8991 yeah he gave him one
I was not expecting grian to be doing and WINNING deadly runs
Yeah, and AFTER those atrocious runs at the start. I was frustrated at first when he lose runs that are going so smoothly… (Not with him, to be clear. It’s more about the merciless dungeon.) He sure have an unyielding spirit and I was super suprised he was able to be that positive.
AT FULL BLOODY CLANK
Me either
I love how everyone who finds the old friend's pickaxe becomes extra motivated to get out alive. :'-)
@21nspired I'm fairly certain Tango gave him it later. There's a note about it on the Spreadsheet
And then continue to leave it in the artifake display to rot😅
What is it a reference for ?
@@ahmadhummoody4132 Tinfoil Chef (TFC)
@@ahmadhummoody4132
TFC, a previous Hermit who has since passed away.
He was well known for working on mineshafts and mining quite a bit, so Tango made his representative artifact a pickaxe.
2:32:10 the fact that this run was most likely saved by a random fish is so funny and just gives me the vibes of Grian being the main character.
Plot armor
Typical Grian luck :D
This man beat almost all the runs he did on deadly maybe all of them I forgot and got 6-7 tomes and a lot of crowns cards and points
He is him
It triggered me really hard when he just threw it on the ground. The disrespect!😡😂
Grian is turning up as one of the better Decked out players after these runs 😊
Well...
Okay nevermind commented too early run 5 was INSANE

Grian might actually be a top contender now. It wouldn't surprise me if he only gets 8 shards next phase.
He will get 9. He is in the 4th place in terms of embers aquired, but still miles behind Etho.
@@Cyrsztofnahhh ethos still washed lol
@@gyanholtzner5670 sure is, I'm just refering to the numbers though!
For anyone wondering, these are official values of projected embers for top4:
Etho 881
Cub 664
Doc 651
Grian 571
But I'm also pretty sure Etho done some runs offstream that will be in his next video, so he might be sitting on even more embers lol.
@@Cyrsztof Huh, I would of expected Hypno to be up in the top
@@ObscureSwanwhile Hypno averages the highest embers on success (26.5 to Ethos 25.36), his success rate is horrible (overall 30.4% to Ethos 73.9%). Hypno is pushing way to hard from the start (which is fun way of playing btw!), making him fall behind more and more. 4th phase shows it very well: Hypno has 16.7% success rate, while top players (Cub, Doc, Etho, Grian) are all around 70%, with Etho sitting at 77.8% win rate this phase.
This is mostly due to Hypno pushing the limits from the get go, while others took their time to build their decks first, resulting in already massive differences in their decks: top players are all around 30 cards in their decks, and hypno has only 17.
Im so glad that Grian really got interested in this game more than DO1.
If I remember correctly, you keep getting level doors closed in your face because they're set to stay open until a sculk sensor detects that you've entered the next (lower) level, but because you sneak into the stairways, that sensor isn't triggered until you're coming back up
👍🏻
although i've seen plenty of instances where Gem had the lvl1 door stay open until she came back up to exit (phase 4). i.e., she's not sneaking on her way to lvl2 so....
Seeing Grian determined to bring back TFC's artifact really warmed my heart.
He forgot to get the artifake :'(
Yeah, I was wondering if he got the artifake or not :'

If you have a repair kit its 100% worth doubling back to rusty on your way out again. He's a straight shot from the exit without having to take any dangerous areas or parkour.
Agreed. The only risk is time, cause if you're racing the clock to get out before the vexes come then it's better to just get out.
"I've not done my homework" is the most relatable thing I've ever heard
You have to consider, that the skipped card is mostlikely a common card with 20 of them in the deck and it also has the chance to skip over stumble, which would be effectively extra clank block. It sounds like a very powerful card. And the first I've seen a hermit pickup!
First rare card
From dying on level 1 to getting out on deadly. Fine job sir
Somebody needs to make a fan art of Grian running for his life ...from actual ravioli
I wanna see that
grian saying "ravioli" is unconditionally irritating but also extremely hilarious. i love it
i think you got the first rare card and your deck is pretty buffed after this phase
Pretty sure Hypno?? If im not mistaken pulled off ethos artifact for 50
He definitely got the slab but don't think he got the rare card with it
@@Super_Swank They either said rare artifact before editing or I misread it 😅 my bad
@@supmadude3he bought 5 tomes
I love how the room he made is being soo nice to him
but that shrieker just outside the room was not kind to him... I think he might have triggered it like 25 times this video lol
There was that one run where he hit it 5 times in like 10 seconds, it was a bit painful
As Grian says, it can be hard to remember what the deck is. So it would be really nice if you included the deck before the runs, just so it can be easier to check it (and keep it in mind).
Watch out Etho and Hypno, Grian has been training and it has really paid off!
You can see the evidence that his ravager training thing genuinely worked!!!
@repeater64
It definitely helped, but i think the biggest difference has been his awareness of the game nechanics. Like level 3 has no ravagers and really not a lot of parkour either, but its his best level (he has a 7-1 record on deadly. Etho is the only one close at 10-2).
hypno not really anymore
I haven't written this before, but man, I have to say Tango NAILED the ambient sounds of the dungeon, it's so eerie! Even when you basically understand the layout of the dungeon, the music constantly keeps you on edge
I love how he just calls the ravagers ravioli :)
Dude, Grian I have to say of everyone playing I really do feel like you've adapred to lvls 2 and 3 faster than anyone else. It's a shame your early phases were kinda rough. This is your redenption arc dude, you can come from behind and win this whole thing!
Tldr: You're doing amazing and we're all proud of you. You got this!
Grian or the editor, if you could separate the individual runs with timestamps in the future it would be great. And if you see this Grian, I think we all can agree you're doing better than we expected :)
Agreed👍
He put it in the description
He really should use the rusty repair kit
It's in the description
Fr the person who did all the work should do more work for your satisfaction......
that first deadly run was INSANE, I was on the edge of my seat the whole last half of it
run 5 really had me going. Didnt expect you to still make it such a clutch move at the end.
Grian just proved the system of setting up ravagers into certain spots and then keeping the same route run after run works.
That first deadly run was really satisfying after all the painful runs. So proud of you!
Not sure about beating Etho, but with these runs I think you're beating most or everyone else. Amazing performance/skill
Grian! Just a wish to see the deck in between runs, to have an overview of what you have :) No idea if y see this, but as you're playing so many runs, i'd be cool to see your deck expand over time :)
Congrats!!! Can we also get a list of you cards in the deck before the run? Would be really cool
Oh Yess! Love it when hermits show that.

If you keep playing like this…. You could legit compete for the dub. You keep saying it’s too late or Etho is too far ahead, but you’re getting deadly artifacts 🤯 Keep going bro this is great content.
"An Old Friend's Pickaxe" so very appropriate to be found deep in the mines..... I cried...and I'm not even ashamed! GRIAN.... You forgot the artifake!
I'm fairly certain Tango gave him one later. There's a note about it on the Spreadsheet
Yea i didn't even realize which hermit the pick belonged to until Grian talked about it. I was filled with sadness D:
Your voice is so relaxing I didn’t even realise how high my heartrate was until halfway through this 😂
Run 5, winning the first deadly run at max clank that Grian already wrote off as a lost cause: I don't care if Grian can't win decked out - that run was amazing, heart in mouth stuff. Fantastic job!
grian’s reaction to tfc’s artifact was so sweet
Do you remember which run this was ?
Edit: Run 8. 1:28:00 -ish
It's a shame he didn't remember to get the artifake™.

@TwoMuchGrian please upload week 5 runs we all are waiting
I just cannot help but love this British guy, he never misses a chance to make us perish in laughter. You are the most fantastical waffle out there❤❤❤
The warden attacking the fish instead of grian on the last run is absolute plot armor.
Grian calling the ravengers ravioli is really making me hungry ngl

-tresh: any kind of treasure, keys, coins, and crowns
-coinage: coins
-raviolis: ravagers
That's one thing I like watching his runs. When he panic he made funny words😂
Grian is literally a goblin 😂 He always goes for the gold
And also is incredibly chaotic
wow. So funny.
1:43:34 proves your point extremely well :)
Grian with the comeback this phase. What great runs!
I was looting an ancient city while watching this, almost had a heart attack when the shriekers kept goin off
Thanks for the runs, Grian! Your high hazard block really helped on some of those hairy escapes. Glad you’re all still having fun with this
Grian's deck has grown a lot.
Those last 5 runs were amazing and very surprising to watch haha
“Let’s pay attention. … That’s difficult. Paying attention is quite difficult.”
For real, I swear Grian is perpetually juggling ADHD flags behind the scenes. He keeps accidentally describing it.
100% ADHD. So is Tango btw 😂
@@houseofmeza People can have ADHD symptoms and not have prescribed ADHD. What do you think the internet does to your brain?
@@dragonmage372 Yeah, that’s why I personally said “flags”, but I don’t think he means to literally claim to know what their brain’s like.
@@houseofmeza Half the hermits show signs to be honest. It kinda makes sense. Creative people that make videos on UA-cam. Both of those things are sectors in which ADHD is known to be common.
I kinda see it in Scar too, but it’s mostly because his situational awareness is totally useless, and yet he tends to notice tiny details and go “ooh!” in the middle of a sentence.
@@coconutcore I realize now that my original comment made me sound overbearingly condescending with no clear explanation, but it's just that so many people claim to have ADHD without a medical opinion because they "get distracted easily" or "can't focus on one thing at a time". The internet is a prime source for that, because there's so much information being shoved into your brain all at once, giving you constant dopamine overloads and making your mind feel fuzzy. And it takes away from the meaning of real ADHD when people say with confidence that they or someone else has it when they or that person probably spend upwards of 80% of their time on the web.
It just peeves me is all I'm saying.

I’ve been wanting to play it too
Some really great runs there. I wish more Hermits would take the time to read the description of the Artifacts before throwing them away.
Grian had such a rough runs on early phases but this phase, THIS PHASE. He got a heroical comeback. Wow!
You're doing amazing! Was on the edge of my seat quite a few times. That warden and fish moment was gold.
Those were some great runs, Grian! I loved your last one as well. It's amazing what a two week break, some practice, and just stepping away when it tilted you a lot has done. It's been such fun watching you improve in this game!
my favorite time of the week, Grian decked out!! Keep playing Grian we all love it!
BRAVO GRIAN! I love that you took Decked Out to the hardest difficulty, played smart, and were rewarded for it! Great choices on the cards btw!
My fav part was when you gambled and went and got Rusty and were rewarded big time for it! :D
Anyone notice that he hasn't posted any runs for week 5?
Amazing runs. Theirs something so entertaining about you just progressively getting better at the game. I know it was hard at first but now you're becoming a top player. well done. looking forward to more!!
Dude, so proud of you! All of the Deadly runs had me at the edge of my seat (well, seeing literally anyone play has me screeching RUN 😅), and it felt so amazing to see that 4th run win after the disappointing runs before. Lookin' forward to more fun stuff
this video really showcases grians improvement! runs in the beginning were a bit impatient, and towards the end the runs were very strategic! fun to watch
Ahhh! Run 5 I was screaming at my TV, going through an array of emotions. I can't believe you pulled that off and survived! So proud of you ❤
Thank you so much for showing us all your runs! Congratulations on all your Deadly level successes!!! 😀
I was on the edge of my seat the entire time during your first deadly success! Great job!

It makes me so happy to see you having more success in your runs!
Amazing runs👏👏
So happy for you!
Can't believe you got out there on your first deadly with full clank, GG! 👍
So much improvement. Both game skills and a more positive mindset have helped out a lot!
Grian, I've gotta say, you did so well on so many of those runs. You've improved dramatically since the last time I saw you run and I think you made the right choice at the end when you bought Eerie Silence. It is hard to be able to purchase those cards and was definitely worth it, because, when you think about it compared to the starter cards you have, it's x2.5 their value and if you get that card after drawing a quickdraw card, it should, theoretically, largely cancel out the skip draw or at the very least mitigate it. The rare cards are basically going to take the place of the starter cards while the epic cards will be your trump cards in the end, so you really need to get a lot of both.
@TangoTek would be so happy to see Spider Den runs at minute 20 with Grian swinging on the vines
