I have never owned a single PS console, so I have never played these games, and thus I was able to watch this as if it were just a movie with no preconceptions based on previous experience with the game. My verdict? You definitely succeeded. Based on the limitations you had to deal with (the biggest being the length of the story due to it originally being a game), you did a remarkable job. IMO, you proved that out of all the game franchises that might be made into movies, this one would be easily adaptable with minimal alterations. Seriously, aside from cutting a few sections of the plot to streamline the story and get to the meat of it in a more efficient way, you could leave 80-90% of it untouched and still have an epic film experience. And if they ever do try that, I hope they get you as an editor. You get a 10/10 from me!
Usually, at least 3x as long as it takes to complete the game. Initial editing usually takes about 2x as long as the gameplay, but then I have to rewatch each segment I edit to look for more places to cut, and then rewatch the entire movie, doing the same thing when it's finished.
started watching the other version first, then noticed the HD remake... So much better. Good call in adding in some of the ingame dialogs and events. It makes transitions to different scenes more fluid. Great job man, can't wait to see Thieves Among Us

Yeah I've got to worry about keeping the action going, but I do feel like I improved the walking/running ratio in these remakes. The cinematics also provide a good chance for the action to slow down in some parts, so it isn't always necessary that I do that during the actual gameplay. I have a feeling a lot of what you're wanting is in my Last of Us movie though, which will be released very soon.
I've not played games in years (like more than a decade). I was a big fan of Metal Gear Solid on PS. Then I saw Uncharted 4 commercial/trailer on Reddit and got interested to look further. So, I watched someone's game play (over 25 episodes) of Uncharted 3. That made me want to watch more of it, so here I am. And, I'm not even disappointed. Your video is just perfect and saved me a lot of time as well as is simply a joy to watch. Thank you!
It's not just a re-release, but a full out remake. Gameplay is different, editing is different, etc. I think it's the better version of the movie. So it's worth watching again I think :)

Now I have found you, an actual angel send from Heaven, I can watch the story without the annoying yourtubers, and in much less time! I love that you actualy left a bit of the gameplay to allow fo smooth trasitions between cut scenes, this is a masterpiece! also, this is the best movie I've seen all year!
Whether he's an Indiana Jones rip off or not (as if Jones was the first adventuring treasure seeker/ history buff to face supernatural threats), I still love Nathan Drake. He's easily one of Naughty Dog's best characters in development & backstory, and I loved Sully as a supporting role. The historical fiction and climbing gameplay always reminded me of *Assassin's Creed,* while the *Tomb Raider* aspects would give even Lara Croft a run for her money. I know it's unlikely to happen, but I personally think a crossover with Drake in the *TR* reboot series would be more epic than either franchise EVER was separately! Imagine the banter those two could have to complement the amazing combo fight scenes, not to mention Elena's hilarious jealousy if Drake even looks at Lara for more than three seconds. If that's not good enough, how would co-op sound? At the very least, we saw that Drake survived *Uncharted 4* so this pipe dream could remain a possibility somewhere down the line. Stranger crossovers have happened after all.
Love Raven, one of the best profile pics I've seen. I wish they hadn't replaced the good Teen Titans with that TT Go crap, better if they just let it die on a high note. On the bright side, Raven and Nightwing were awesome in the Injustice game, they even brought Cyborg's voice actor back. SO MUCH nostalgia :)

That was the best Uncharted game I've ever played. This looks like Indiana Jones a little bit. Some weapons I love the most is a Smith & Wesson Model 629 Classic revolver, the MP40 submachine gun, Colt M4A1 assault rifle, Franchi SPAS-12 shotgun, and SVD Dragunov sniper rifle.
MP 40 is a pain in the butt because it takes ages to reload it and you don't have that luxury when you're facing those zombies who come in pack from everywhere to eat you alive with their powerful melee. I wish I had another weapon at that time of the game.

I'm playing the game for myself. I'm on my third playthrough right now. My fifth playthrough will likely be when I record it for the movie. I'm getting as many trophies as I can for now.
Would I be able to understand MGS4 without playing the rest? MGS5 looks like it might be easier to start with for me, since I believe it's a prequel right?
I made a different dual layer disc for each movie. I don't use any automatic dvd making programs, I calculate the bitrates, encode them myself, and create custom interactive menus using DVDlab pro. It requires a lot of technical understanding of the dvd authoring process. I also included over 3 hours of behind the scenes features. When I make my Blu-ray I should be able to fit all 3 movies on one disc.

I played the shit out of the first game's demo, the first time I've played Drake's Fortune is when they released the Dual Pack to get ready for the release of Uncharted 3. 54:26 This was the moment that made me glad I beat this game second, literally carries over to the 3rd game, the mystery of the ring and Sully and Drake's father son relationship that both take a back seat in 2.

i have never played this game but based on its story, characters and gameplay looks one of the best games i've ever seen. its so cinematic and it appears more like a movie than a game. i really love nate drake's personality by being likeable jerk, snarky, sarcastic, intelligent and adroit in hostile environment just as well when is neck deep in some troubling situations. i love his relationship with elena who is also very strong, sexy and independent female character who can take care of herself. sully is very hilarious and awesome, drake's father figure and without him nate wouldnt be what he is today.

Drake actually says fucker in this game. The one word that isn't said, he almost says it in the third one, but is cut off. Love this series, design, all of it. It's amazing how far the games have come

The game wasn't amazing like the second but was still enjoyable to play. It seemed to flow through quite quickly. Once you've played it it does get boring because apart from the end part of the game where it gets dark and there are those creatures, it is very similar throughout the game. Overall it is a good game and a brilliant storyline. 7/10
24:00 is a great. She goes from pissed to sexually aroused when Nate protectively , instinctively pins her against the wall. That really is astonishing writing and execution for a video game. Well done Naughty Dog.
Wow. I just found these and watched all 3 recently. Great editing Andy, well done, they were fantastic to watch. I'm really not a fan of shooters and I couldn't get past the gameplay to actually play through the Uncharted games, but they made excellent adventure movies. So glad I found these. Great job! I did not play uncharted series but i liked the uncharted 4 graphics and wanted to see that movie, in order to familiarise myself, i saw this movie i had my doubts bcoz of the graphics but it didn’t effect much. Eventually i saw a good movie thank u andy

I don't think it comes out this year, but yeah. I heard it was a prequel to the others, like the Snake from the other games is a clone of this Snake or something like that. Like I said I don't know the series very well so I could be wrong about that.
Bought this PS4 and came with part 4 passed it in a week game is one masterpiece got to use your mind a lot which is great. Action packed me and my girls love it haha
This is my first time seeing Uncharted and hearing Nathan Drake reminded me so much of Desmond Miles. I looked it up. Turns out they're both voiced by Nolan North.
Looking back at the first game and then the 4 one its amazing to see how far Nathan and elena have come and the graphics like dam that water in the last game was basically real
I've commented many times now that it's in the plans, but I am waiting for sales to slow down. I don't want people to decide to watch my movie instead of playing the game. It's worth every sale it can get.
I'm getting my Last of Us game in the mail on Monday, and I will play it for myself, but my next movies will be Uncharted 2 and 3 HD. After that I'll make a decision on what I'll do next. I do want to do Last of Us, but I need to make sure I don't release it early enough that people would watch the movie instead of playing the game. So I want to wait until sales start dying down.

I like game movies like this that add a bit of gameplay to really make it feel like a proper action movie and not just a clipshow. Excellent work!

Great video! Did anyone else notice the continuity error at 1:43:52 ? Drake left the ring a while back and then it pans back to him around his neck for a split scene.

Drake actually says fucker in this game. The one word that isn't said, he almost says it in the third one, but is cut off. Love this series, design, all of it. It's amazing how far the games have come

The game wasn't amazing like the second but was still enjoyable to play.
It seemed to flow through quite quickly. Once you've played it it does get boring because apart from the end part of the game where it gets dark and there are those creatures, it is very similar throughout the game.
Overall it is a good game and a brilliant storyline. 7/10

24:00 is a great. She goes from pissed to sexually aroused when Nate protectively , instinctively pins her against the wall. That really is astonishing writing and execution for a video game. Well done Naughty Dog.

Wow. I just found these and watched all 3 recently. Great editing Andy, well done, they were fantastic to watch. I'm really not a fan of shooters and I couldn't get past the gameplay to actually play through the Uncharted games, but they made excellent adventure movies. So glad I found these. Great job! Thanks!!

I did not play uncharted series but i liked the uncharted 4 graphics and wanted to see that movie, in order to familiarise myself, i saw this movie i had my doubts bcoz of the graphics but it didn’t effect much. Eventually i saw a good movie thank u andy

Hope you check out 2-4 as well. I think 4 is emily's best performance, but she's also great in 2 and 3 as well (although not in much of 3 I think due to Haven)

Both of the Uncharted games I have watched are way better than Indy IV.
I don't think it comes out this year, but yeah. I heard it was a prequel to the others, like the Snake from the other games is a clone of this Snake or something like that. Like I said I don't know the series very well so I could be wrong about that.
Bought this PS4 and came with part 4 passed it in a week game is one masterpiece got to use your mind a lot which is great. Action packed me and my girls love it haha

Looking back at the first game and then the 4 one its amazing to see how far Nathan and elena have come and the graphics like dam that water in the last game was basically real
I've commented many times now that it's in the plans, but I am waiting for sales to slow down. I don't want people to decide to watch my movie instead of playing the game. It's worth every sale it can get.
I'm getting my Last of Us game in the mail on Monday, and I will play it for myself, but my next movies will be Uncharted 2 and 3 HD. After that I'll make a decision on what I'll do next. I do want to do Last of Us, but I need to make sure I don't release it early enough that people would watch the movie instead of playing the game. So I want to wait until sales start dying down.

Something which has always annoyed me about this game is that halfway through the game it all becomes about zombies for some reason and it just came out of nowhere
Well it's not completely out of nowhere if you finish the story, but I always found that to be a cool twist
Can't wait to get the game in the ND Collection.
