What a magical layout. My favourite way to back a cut file is with patterned paper.
Thank you, Theresa!!💖🧡💛
Thank you for sharing your beautiful layout, Sarah! I love your fun sun. It’s adorable, and looks like fabric. I tend to use patterned paper or vellum to back cut files. Occasionally I make shaker pockets, too. 😊
Beautiful magical layout! I mostly back my cutfiles with patterned papers .
Thanks so much, sweet lady!💖🧡💛
This is such a beautiful layout!!! Always inspiring! I love using mixed media to create one of a kind backgrounds to back cut files…and making shakers too!!! Love your videos Sarah! 💖🧡💛💚💙💜
Thank you so much, sweet friend!!💖🧡💛
I like to use my ink pads to color the background & simply place my cut file right on top. This is a super quick & easy technique.
Sweet Sarah has got to be my favorite scrapbook youtuber for her creativity, especially with mixed media!
Stunning layout!!🦋🌈
Thank you so much, sweet lady! I appreciate your kind words and love your idea!💖💛💙
Cute layout. Love the butterflies 🦋. TFS
Thanks so much, Ella!💖💛💙
Great ideas for working with cut files. And I love your layout. I haven’t been tech savvy enough to figure out backing pieces with my cricut so I usually hand trace!
Thank you, Krista!💖🧡💛 I used to do that, too! Using the Contour tool saves a ton of time…I am so thankful for Cricut gurus that shared that once upon a time!💖🧡💛
Beautiful layout, I like to back with vellum colored patterns papers.
Thanks so much, Sandra!!💖💛💙
What a beautiful layout!!!! I usually use patterned paper for my cut files, and lately have been making shaker pockets!
Thank you so much, Maureen!💖💛💙
I love to back cut files with vellum, it still shows the pattern paper/colors behind it but softens it. of course I use pattern paper as well 🙂
Great idea!💖💛💙
Lovely layout, Sarah.... I love backing my cutfiles with colorful patterned papers, most of the time. Just to make it really pop.
Thanks so much, Donna!💖💛💙
Wow such a pretty layout. I love how you put everything together. I have not tried mixed media and don’t have a die cut machine and have not yet used cut files but have enjoyed all the tips and ideas, very inspiring.
Thank you so much, Beverly! I appreciate it!💖🧡💛
I like to use patterned paper to back cut files. I love your layout ❤
Thank you, Jacquie!! I like doing that, too!!💖🧡💛
I love to create sequin shakers to back my cut files. Love your layout 😍
Thanks so much, Melissa!💖💛💙
I use lots of pattern paper for backing my cut files. I have made a shaker once which turned out cute. Love your pages!
Thanks so much! I love doing that, too!💖🧡💛
Love this gorgeous layout! So colourful! To back cut files I usually use patterned paper, nothing special but I do like to add stitching!
Thanks so much, Penny! I love patterned paper and stitching, too!💖💛💙
love to use pattern paper to backing but you make me more and more to do the extra's with colouring paste and different way to glue etc. Your layout is fab as usual
I love hearing that, Karin! Thank you!💖🧡💛
I usually like to use pattern paper for ba doing my cut files. I rag the outer edge and then cit it out and paste it in. Love this layout!
Thanks so much, Karla!💖💛💙
Gorgeous layout. I always use patterned paper to back my cut files but I am definitely going to try some mixed media.
Thank you so much! I love hearing that!!💖🧡💛
This layout is beautiful and your kids are so cute…your daughter looks a lot like you! 😊 Hope you’re enjoying this fun day! 🌈I like backing cut files with vellum or watercolor like you did, or I just saw Jana I think it was use a small pattern die cut to back her frames with and I think that would look great with cut files too. Hard to pick a favorite! 😊 Thanks for the chance to win 💕
Thanks so much, sweet Karen!! I love your ideas!! I love using pattern dies to back Cutfiles, too!💖🧡💛
I back pictures in lots of different ways and sometimes I don’t back them. I use tissue paper, velum, pocket cards, card stock, large embellishments, something that adds interest, texture , color to enhance the layout
I love your ideas, Kristy!!💖🧡💛
love small printed pattern paper to back my cut files. super cute.
I love using those, too, Heather!!💖🧡💛
I enjoy using small printed paper on my cut files.. but I will be giving this a try.. I really like the idea of the shimmerz paints (which I love) but adding the stencil to add to it is a great idea! Thanks for the inspiration as always❤
I love hearing that, Brenda! Thank you for your kind words!!💖💛💙
Patterned paper or vellum is my favorite but I think I'll have to try your idea next. You made it look beautiful!
I mostly use smaller scale printed papers to back my cut files. I’m always trying different things because I like to add texture to my layout where I can.
Thank you for sharing your ideas!💖💛💙
Beautiful layout!
I like to use mixed media to add interest.
Thank you so much!💖🧡💛
I love the rainbow and that your pot of gold is your children, so sweet!
Thank you, Dawn!! I love that you got my design!💖💛💙
Patterned paper is my go to although I have been trying my hand at a bit of mixed media as well.
I love hearing that, Kathy!💖🧡💛
I always back them with patterned paper but I like the idea of trying something different!
I love to hear that, Heather!💖🧡💛
Beautiful layout! I’m very lazy and like to ink my cutfiles and not back them at all, let the background show. When I’m not lazy I love to make them into slackers with sequins.
This made me laugh, and I totally understand!!💖💛💙
I almost always use patterned paper to back cut files, but really love the look of sequins! I also love how you used the Pops of Color dots in your cut file on your Splashing Fun layout. :)
This turned out beautifully! I usually like to back my cutfile with patterned paper but sometimes I like to make a shaker with them. Thanks for the giveaway ❤
Thank you so much! Love those ideas!💖🧡💛
I love to use just pattern paper to the cut files then stitch all or some of it for highlights.
I love idea, Dawn! Stitching is always a great idea!!💖💛💙
new subbie! love your layout ! i like to back cut files with different pattern paper.
Thanks so much, Kim!!💖💛💙
I like using patterned paper and making sequin shakers❤
I love those things, too!💖🧡💛
I like to back my cutfiles with pattern paper but I also like to add color to the cutefile itself by adding water colors or oxide inks.
Love these ideas, Alma!💖🧡💛
So far I’ve only used patterned papers to back cut files, but I’m stretching my creativity with washi tape lately, and I think that could be a fun choice too!
I love hearing that, Wendy!!💖🧡💛
I guess I most often go for cut files that are solid and don't require backing or I'm going for more of a see-through/outline look, but I guess the few times I have backed them I used patterned paper.
That’s great!💖🧡💛
Honestly, I do not like to use or back cut files but the few times I have, I have used pattern papers. I do, however, like how you backed yours with mixed media.
Thank you so much!💖💛💙
I just started using cut files so I don’t have much experience with them. The ones I have cut have been solid, but I am definitely inspired by your layout and will try your ideas.
Awesome, Peggy! I love hearing that!!💖💛💙
Love my pattern paper, so many choices ❤
Absolutely!!💖🧡💛
Wow this is so beautiful! I like to use patterned paper. I don´t own a machine so I hand cut everything
Thank you so much, Veronica!!💖💛💙
I haven’t tried it yet, but I think I would like pattered paper for backing. Maybe watercolor too!
This is amazing Sarah! ❤❤❤
Thanks so much!!💖💖💖
I wish I was more adept at mixed media. I love cut files but mostly leave them white
I would encourage you to give it a try! The worst thing that can happen is you waste a piece of paper! It can be so fun to play and experiment and hope for the best!💖💛💙
patterned paper is the only thing that I have backed them with.
Patterned paper is beautiful!!💖💛💙
THis is beautiful, I know it's late but I like PP for cutfiles!
I like to use patterned paper!
Awesome, Tracy!💖💛💙
I use mixed media techniques or pattern papers.
I just usually use colored paper
Solid or patterned paper to back my cut file
Great ideas!💖🧡💛
I have never used a cut file🙁
That’s okay! They are fun to use to give your layouts a different look!!💖🧡💛
