Actually I'm a gifted kid and went to special advanced classes in elementary. Once a week every kid in a certain grade level would go to that class on their grade's designated day, and they'd learn things like algebra and physics. I'm pretty sure in like 1st or 2nd grade we had an entire class project that lasted about a month, where we learned how to solve a 3x3 (beginner method). That was the start of my hobby as a cuber.
3:50 Yes, as someone who learned how to solve one just 4 days ago, I can confirm that it is in fact a 10x10. I'm kidding I know the differences between a 3x3 and a 10x10. 😂 These types of videos are awesome by the way! Great job!
my sibling goes to uc berkeley and they actually have something like this. the cubing scene over there (as well as in the bay area) is crazy. the cubing club at my college has about 10 members but at ucb there is literally a class! yes a cubing class with at least 100 students. it is divided into the beginner section and the advanced section. there are assignments (which consist of learning cube math topics (i have no idea what any of it means) and even a final exam for the beginner section where they have to solve the cube under 5 minutes. it is crazy. my sibling teaches the beginner section. i went there once just to sit in during one of the classes and tons of people showed up.
@@yessirdoge7694 the program is called decal and it is not exclusively for cubing. students teach other students various topics. the Rubik’s cube decal has tons of people in it though. also it’s kinda funny because although my sibling teaches using the beginner j perm method, most instructors teach the roux method! i have no idea why lol
wow that’s super nice! a similar thing happened in my college, we don’t have clubs like that here but the folks in my degree were super into cubes because our group theory teacher used them to explained certain concepts. There was always someone in the hallways solving a cube or variations of it and I look fondly back to those years because it was the first time I meet people with the same interest for cubing as me, learned so much stuff from them it felt like a little community

In 4th grade my elementary school actually had a cubing class, and there was a competition as well! I was one of the finalists. but of course nowhere near as good as the best cubers in my grade because I had no prior experience.
You're like the cubing version of the fairbairn films brothers from Australia. Absolutely love it mate. I like that for such a niche hobby, we have people like you making it fun and more well known. Keep it up STCuber!
They should have an optional cubing school during the summer where it starts at a comfortable time like 10 am or sum. And the classes are: Intuition, F2L, Lookahead, OLL, PLL, ZBLL
it's like beginner method, beginner f2l, 2 look oll and pll and then u go like "oh that's pretty easy" and then they start making you study full oll and full pll
Funnily enough, this video somehow works really well as a meta commentary on how bloated the school system is. Like- imagine needing to take this class when you only wanted to learn something more simple, like a 2x2 or 3x3.
Should Cubing Be A Class?
People thinking its another algebra class
Absolutely my grades wold not change cuz I am a top student
Yes
They gonna give us 21x21s on the test but on the study guide we gonna get 1x1 stuff 💀
Yes I wouldn’t fail lol
You know, this actually should become a series. Could be really fun to watch multiple episodes of.
Yess that would be great
YESSS
Yes
i agree
Yea that’s a good idea
"you're getting a dnf go to the office" killed me

*Impossible.*
I think curbing would actually work as a subject as it has history to it and and teaches problem solving
This is amazing I want a whole season of this
Yeah, he's good! Hope he gets others to come to class with him😂 so which cube is your main? I'm 12-13 average on 3x3

Fun fact the thing that got me back to cubing was a school thing about cubes
Yeah it would be really fun
Wish this was for real, I mean cubing is a vast subject to be honest... way better and useful than having many subjects we have now tho
This would have started with 10 cubes in 1 competition and then it would have been everyone on the planet in 3 years
I feel like if this was a real class I would actually pay attention
