  • Hey y'all! In this video I explain the process of restarting my new OTTB Wilma with positive reinforcement clicker training. This is unfortunately not a common method of training horses, so I hope to help give it some exposure here.
I spent 4 weeks doing ground work with R+ prior to getting on, and while OTTBS are not complete clean slates, training with true R+ requires a total restart. Instead of training using fear based methods, the horse learns to be a willing participant :)
R+ WORKS! I could have a toddler ride Wilma and feel perfectly comfortable. We can hack out anytime, any day and she's happy to do so. I can hop on her tackless, she just got some shots and dental work and was totally fine, etc all thanks to R+ and the relationship we've been able to create together.

I just found your channel and I love it! I originally found it through your ferret care videos because I'd love to have a ferret someday so I am taking time to educate myself and research them. I then found out that you have an interest in horses and as a horse owner myself, this excited me! I am so happy to have found this video! I've also started clicker training and using R+ with my horse and he loves it. It has improved our relationship so much. Love your channel!

Hi Bryn! I would love to see the target you’re using while riding if you don’t mind sharing!

So sorry for the late reply! I actually made one out of a extending stick (like ones teachers use) and I made a hole in a tennis ball and stuck it on the end! It’s great for riding since it’s long enough. But it’s still heavier than I would like. Going to try and make something else that’s lighter!!

Hello I just came across your channel because I was looking for information on Startin a raw diet for my ferret. Currently he's on kibble. I have tried to introduce raw eggs..but he's not interested. Can you please help and give some direction to slowly introduce raw food. Thank you

I would suggest my Feeding Ferrets Naturally E--book! It has everything you need to know about transitioning ferrets to raw. Or, check out my Raw Feeding playlist on UA-cam! Though some of those videos are pretty old by now.

hey if i ask you a few questions about my ferret can you help me? it’s important. he’s been acting weird. he’ll walk around for a little then go under my dresser stick his head out lay flat and sometimes squint his eyes. i took him to the vet twice already and one said nothing is wrong and then one said allergies. but i never see him scratching his eyes. she said the eye squinting could be from allergies but eh idk cuz he don’t bother his eyes. he’ll play sometimes idk if he’s bored or what. he’s not even a year old i buy them so many toys and im not even done yet but i just don’t know how to help them i want them to be happy. they are marshall’s ferrets sadly but i still love them. i do have psychosis so idk if im just being delusional but its scaring me
