      I've already addressed much of this in response to your other comments, but I'll add a bit more.
      Take it or leave it.
      Demi Lovato isn't a "minority group". She's a biological woman who profited off of and was celebrated for her womanhood for years, before suddenly claiming that she was no longer (entirely) woman.
      BTW, how can someone be a member of a minoritive group if they identify as a non-group individual? I mean, that's precisely what it supposedly means to identify as "non-binary". Oh wait, it appears that non-binary is being treated as though it has its own binary...ironically...
      Besides the fact that the entire concept of "non-binary" is non-sense, someone believing a particular thing doesn't somehow magically protect them from all legitimate critique, especially when they're the one who's making the scene. Otherwise, I could identify myself as a member of the clinically-genius minority and then claim that you're a bigot if you question me.
      Nah, your issue with "disrespect" is merely selective. If I made a video ruthlessly insulting straight white conservative men, you likely wouldn't care a bit. Instead, you selectively coddle and demand the coddling of a particular self-identifying group and feign outrage over me putting together a compilation of people speaking incoherently. I'm only talking about them because they've already been talking about themselves. I didn't make Demi popular. Demi made Demi popular, and publicity comes along with that.
      (I might add that it would be foolish of me to upload videos with hopes of not getting views, and your claim about "attention" seeking would ironically apply more to Demi Lovato, considering her celebrity status.)
      Also, it appears that you're actually more concerned by the brief insert of the "transgender" individual than anything else.
      Carelessly claiming that people are getting "killed for literally just being alive" isn't convincing of anything. It's merely a cut-off valve, used to cut off the flow of conversation about just how irrational your position is. You're welcome to cite statistics in order to prove that there's some rampant onslaught of murders against people who identify as that which they biologically ARE NOT. Don't simply project violent intent onto me.
      Be thoughtful. Be reasonable.
      My compilation (in which every word was said by someone else) isn't some attack on identity-centric people. If anything, it's an attack on bad ideas, and the idea that people can claim truth as their own, redefine the biological reality of their identity, go out and publicly state that everyone else must give up their own belief systems in order to pander to the feelings of those who go out of their way to be seen as minority (members), and then claim victimhood when more reasonable people highlight their lowlights...
      My objective isn't to affirm people's feelings and fantasies. My objective is to make people think. If you don't want to think about that, that's on you.
      Don't try to swim upstream and then expect me to pretend that the water will change directions for you simply because you WANT it to.

    I really don't get this shit. I was born a boy, I grew up and I'm a man now. I wouldn't really say I 'feel" like a man. It's just what I am. It's not some feeling, at least to me. So why do you specifically need to make it harder and not just stick to one? It won't change your life, you can do the same shit as a man or a woman if you really wanted to so why non binary? It's just lame to me.
    Like what is the difference between a woman being a tom boy her entire life or a woman becoming trans to change into a man? It's just way more difficult to make the second thing happen and more confusing for others as well while your life stays the exact same except for pronouns.

    • @ArticulateThinkerNewsClips
      @ArticulateThinkerNewsClips  2 роки тому +7

      Yeah, people are fantasizing, fetishizing, and fortifying falsehoods, rather than seeing human life for what it is. It's an identity crisis, mixed with an unhealthy combination of confusion and delusion. Too many outsiders "affirm" the lies, and too many insiders convince themselves that they're discovering their identity when they're mostly just running from reality. Coping mechanisms come in many ideological packages.

      I know your talking about why be non binary. I’m not non binary but I am trans I’m a trans boy. So you know I was born a girl. And now I’m living as a guy. And I do think I’m a guy. But I don’t want to be tomboy. That is still a girl. In fact it’s not any better then any other girl. As long as it’s a girl I don’t want to be it. I want to be 100% a boy. Who I am deep in my soul is a boy. Other girls can’t feel like a boy like I can. They don’t even have a male brain. I literally do have a male brain. Now I know what you mean why would someone want to be non binary? I don’t really get it ethier. It seems really hard. I know it’s hard to be a trans boy too. But I have to be because it alleviates my dysphoria. But non binary people are different. I don’t know why they would want to be non binary. But I know why I want to be a boy.

    • @MalphasMikaelson
      @MalphasMikaelson 2 роки тому +1

      @@mileslopez9035 Why do you need to be a boy? What is the upside. That's the confusing part. No one has ever explained it properly. Like I said I'm a man, I was born a boy and grew into a man and raised as a boy/man. I did not specifically feel a boy/man from the inside it's just what I am. But if I wanted to be more like a girl or feminine I could do that. Did you really need to change genders?
      You could be a girl and have short hair and wear boy/male clothing and do the exact same things as transitioning into a boy.

      Yeah. "gender" is really just an unnecessary spinoff on biological sex. People try to elevate gender above biological sex, as though it's something entirely different, but biological sex is the only reason why gender is even a concept.
      These identity-centric individuals aren't finding themselves. They're merely losing themselves, as they disregard what's right in front of them.
      For example: a "non-binary" person will never be able to coherently explain his or her identity/ideology because, by definition, it's unexplainable. I mean, it's hard to put an accurate label on something that's supposedly outside of any binary.

Lots of people who detransitioned thought they were trans and turned out to not be a boy or a girl. The only known successful treatment for gender dysphoria is to transition. For children it may be to use a new name, changing their hair or wardrobe, and of course, using the correct pronouns.

Interesting how we're picking and choosing. I mean, if I paint my face black, I'm guilty of black-face racial-appropriation, but if I put on a dress and tell people I'm a woman, not only am I celebrated as a woman, but I'm considered to be marginalized woman which basically makes me more of a woman than an actual woman.

      @@ArticulateThinkerNewsClips I don't shrug off concerns, I discuss them with people who have valid ones. So far nobody has been able to explain to me exactly why they see people identifying themselves as a different gender than their biological sex, or not identifying with either gender, as a negative thing. I do genuinely appreciate you putting in the effort to do that instead of just making some stupid comment like most.
      And while I see your point about self-identifying as something you're not just to get benefits from it, there are no such benefits to be gained from self-identifying as non binary aside from getting attention from others (see Demi Lovato, who clearly understands this). But the fact of the matter is, most people who actually do not identify as either gender (at least the people I've spoken to) just want to be left alone and treated normally without having to be treated like or seen as a man or a woman. Because let's face it, we as a society 100% undeniably treat people differently depending on what sex we perceive them as. Is it so wrong of people not to want that? Is it really that threatening to the ~fabric of society~ (which is already quite damaged from gender norms as is)?
      The constructs of biology, reality, and science won't be damaged more than they already have been by anti vaxxers or climate change deniers, for example (people whose denial of reality has very real, very serious and very dangerous repercussions - and yet even they haven't managed to collapse those constructs). However the only societal changes I can really imagine happening from accepting non binary as a valid way to present oneself are more positive than negative, in my opinion. Writing off non binary folks or refusing to accept them, on the other hand, causes more harm than good.

We don't know if they're legitimately going through a journey of self discovery or if it's for clout but one thing i know for sure is that there are many individuals struggling and going theough alot trying to make sense of their life and identity.
    I've seen alot of comments that are honestly disgusting. Demi is a hot mess right now and she needs help but there is no reason to trash the whole LGBTQ+ community. We need to educate ourselves and evolve with the times. I know it's hard. It's very hard to keep up with everything but imagine this is your life. We could all adopt some compassion and tolerance and kindness.
    It's important to not discredit a entire community's journey because of people who take advantage of their struggles and use it for clout. Be kind and be understanding. There's no instruction manual on this. We learn as we grow.
    But Demi genuinely needs help. It's sad to see actually (when you get over the cringe). They've been through alot and now it's just the result of untreated trauma and bad people and substance abuse.

I'll just say that I agree that we shouldn't be disgusting, although interpretations may vary. For example, some people might consider your mullet insult to be disgusting... lol
      Anyways, I'll also add that the forced and entirely unreasonable use of the word "they" always amuses me. I mean, you're tampering with the concept of coherent language in order to indirectly address someone whom you're simultaneously admitting may not even be "legitimate", all in the name of affirming self-discovery and self-identification...whatever that means. The more malleable, the more meaningless. I mean, if my (non-existent) son were to claim to be a bird and then leap from a cliff thinking he could fly, I'm not going to call him by his bird pronouns when he hits the ground. If that scenario sounds absurd, that's because it is, and my point is that we shouldn't be forfeiting common sense in the name of "compassion and tolerance and kindness". There's no education in that evolution... It's indoctrination at best...
      If that sounds too aggressive, then I'd like to suggest that maybe, just maybe, some people are even more defensive than I am offensive, and I'm simply unwilling to contribute to the verbal and fundamental collapse in both society and reality. After all, Demi Lovato profited off of her womanhood for years before suddenly claiming to be something else, and reality didn't change simply because she said it did.

      @@yellomello6952 I agree that she's not actually non-binary, but mostly because non-binary isn't a THING. Ironically enough, if it were a THING, it would immediately become part of the binary, therefore cancelling out the "non". In other words, "non-binary" is an IDEA which has been claimed by people who can't fully comprehend one thing from another...which is precisely why Demi has fallen for it. So no, I don't believe that she's claiming what she's claiming solely for clout. We're living in an identity crisis, and ideas about identity spread like wildfire, especially among those who are dealing with distress, dysphoria, or dysmorphia.
      I mean, the closest person I have to a brother recently added they/them" to his Facebook profile, and I know that it's because he's caught up in the identity crisis like so many. These ideas are trendy. They're served up to the most vulnerable on a rainbow-colored platter, and too many people just play along, as attempts are made to redefine reality.
      Consider this: You say that "non-binary" people come to an acceptance, rather than to a realization; but in reality, a person must come to a realization before they can even know what it is they're accepting. That's just how it is.
      Then again, although realization and acceptance go hand in such a situation, neither determines reality.
      "Binary" is a categorically physical concept, while both realization and acceptance are metaphysical concepts. Me claiming that I'm a woman even though I'm a man would be similar to me claiming to be black even though I'm white. You see, what I claim doesn't change the physical/biological reality of the matter. There's more to what's real than how we feel.
      Me "realizing" and "accepting" that I'm a 3 foot tall 45 years old 2 Spirit Non-Binary Trans-Gender Ethiopian with wings doesn't change the fact that I'm a 5'9 28 year old caucasian American man.
      If that sounds ridiculous, that's because it is, and if I were to subtract all but the non-binary part, it would still be ridiculous. I don't care how trendy it is.
      Anyways, one cannot BE "non-binary", since it's a term which refers to the non-Sensical notion of NOT BEING. Now, of course not being one thing simply means that we're another thing. On the other hand, the term "non-binary" is the epitome of nothingness, but confused individuals use it as though it refers to something specific, and they ask/demand to be addressed accordingly.

    "Nonbinary is an UMBRELLA term for identities that are neither man or woman."
    The gender binary is either man or woman, no in between. Its an absolute.
    Nonbinary is an umbrella term, and underneath that umbrella we have genderfluid, genderflux, bigender, pangender, etc. (Bigender is a good example of being "both" at the same time. Two genders at once).
    Just because you don't understand it, you feel the need to make fun of it. You're not open to learning new knowledge or accept that our knowledge does in fact grow and change with new discoveries and a world that is more accepting of change.
    A smart person will say "I'm willing to learn", a dumb one will say "nah, I don't want to learn. I've got it all figured out."

    • @ArticulateThinkerNewsClips
      @ArticulateThinkerNewsClips  2 роки тому +5

      How dare you state that "the gender binary is (absolutely) either man or woman"! That's so offensive to people who FEEL differently! (I'm kidding, but that's what so many people sound like.)
      Actually, I'm unsure what exactly you're saying. You're admitting that, according to the "gender binary", we're all either men or women, but then you're describing "non-binary" as a 3rd binary which is so broad, indefinite, and undefinable that you just label it an "umbrella term" and lump in all of the modern manufactured "identities".
      It seems like you're saying two entirely different things. I mean, you're claiming that there are absolutes, but then you're turning around and claiming that people can be absolutely anything they'd like, even if it falls outside of the aforementioned absolutes. So, is the binary absolute, or is it absolutely irrelevant?
      Do you understand what I'm asking?
      I mean, equate the word "binary" with the word "side". Now imagine claiming that there are two sides of a piece of paper, only to turn around and claim that there's a 3rd non-side side which is somehow different than the actual sides.
      Are you picking up what I'm putting down?
      What I'm saying is that you're claiming that there's an absolute binary only to turn around and talk about what it means to be non-binary, which automatically removes the absoluteness from the binary, thus invalidating the binary altogether. You see, either the binary exists or it doesn't.
      You're either arguing that there's a 3rd binary, which you just won't refer to as binary for some reason, or you're arguing that there's actually NO absolute binary whatsoever.
      Likewise, when you claim that unique genders can simply be merged (as in bi-gender, etc), what you're actually claiming is that there's nothing unique about those genders in the first place. In other words, if it's entirely malleable, then it's entirely meaningless.
      Okay, since this is all about being willing to learn, I'll address a few more issues.
      Something I tried to emphasize in the video was the fact that Demi uses the non-binary title (which means NEITHER man nor woman even according to you) while simultaneously claiming to be BOTH man and woman. Therefore, according to your own standard, she doesn't know what the heck she's talking about, and if you can't admit that, then you don't know what the heck you're talking about. (No offense.)
      The problem is, these gender ideologies are indeed incoherent. There are men, there are women, and there are people who don't accept the FACT that they're either men or women. The biology is determined before the feelings about identity are developed, and no amount of transitioning will change that fact.
      BTW, no, gender and sex are NOT two separate constructs, and if you claim that they are, what you're really claiming is that a person with a "non-binary" gender is merely a person who denies their binary...since the binary consists of the very biology which is being ignored.
      Maybe, the problem isn't that I don't understand "it". Maybe, the problem is that you can't explain "it".
      Chocking my video up to an effort to make fun of "it" (whatever it is) doesn't prove much of anything, and it's more of a deflection than anything else as far as I'm concerned. In fact, I put the video together for the sake of conversations just like this one, so I appreciate the feedback.
      A smart person will say "I'm willing to learn"?
      Well, here you go:
      I'm willing to learn!
      Are you?
      Either way, feel free to teach me something. Thus far, you've basically just thrown a few talking points together...which don't even fit together. I've heard them before, and they aren't convincing at all.
      Also, I never said that I don't want to learn, or that I've got it all figured out, so you're just projecting on that point, possibly because you need for me to be close-minded in order for you to seem more open-minded.
      No hate. It's just a debate.

    @bethanybucey401 2 роки тому +2

    Wow only 1:32 in and already see a big problem. Yes the word non-binary is an umbrella term as well as an identity all its own, but it also includes things like agender or genderfluid or genderqueer or gender nonconforming. Way to be ignorant. I am genderfluid but depending on who I’m talking to I tend to use the word non-binary because it is more widely talked about in comparison so it is somewhat more understood than telling people I’m genderfluid and explaining all of that. You don’t get to tell or comment on someone else’s gender identity. You are not the one living in their body and as they said, they aren’t speaking on behalf of how other people experience this gender identity. Way to fake being an advocate and not actually put in the work to confront your internalized transphobia, and think you have the right to make a video making fun of and dissecting someone else’s gender identity.

      Also, you might not realize it, but you're the only person who's trying to control what other people believe here, and no, I will not compromise my own belief system simply to satisfy your unscientific pronoun preferences...when you can't even provide a coherent reason for why I should do so.
