A quote from Tim about his remix :) "I chose 'In Memoriam' from among several suggestions as the track I wanted to remix. It immediately drew me in and I really connected with the melancholic vibe and lovely sentiment. Later, I read about how he wrote the original and what the track is about, which made me feel even more honoured to remix the song. I chose to keep the remix quite simple, because the song and parts are already so good! I didn't want to deviate too far from the original and it's essence. A song like this deserves respect."
I think the original is great, but Tim managed to get a chill groove going preserving the original vibe. No track is unremixable, every musician is able to put his own interpretation of another song without erasing the original piece, in which you can still stick to the latter.

Andrew F the problem with this track is that it barely deviates from the original. The original is SO damn perfect that it seems pointless to edit it 10%, dropping in a hat loop and changing the drums a little. Not to mention the hat loop sounds way too loud in this mix. I’m a MASSIVE Fan if Ben’s music, but this “remix” did not change or enhance the track enough to make it worthwhile.
@@andrewf528 It is also the story behind the track...... Why Ben made this track so perfect. This "remix" completly destroys everyting behind that in my opinion. If that simple "editing" is kind of art for you .... okay
Both are the best! ❤

it's good, but feels more like an edit than remix

@@anjunadeep Wonderful!
Totally agree. Feels exactly the same except different percussion.
More like an livemix. But totally agree it´s good!
That's what a remix is.
A human brought me here.
I think this track is not remixable. Ben made such a masterpiece that it should be left alone.
I agree with you.

Shoudlve left it alone tim.
This track did not need a remix.

I like the original better..
Then don't listen to it!
This "remix" is an insult tbh...
Then don't listen to it!
Stop judging, there's nothing good or bad, it's just how you perceive
