“For Number Four, we have another $20 wonder if ask me, and since this is my list, you are asking me.” 😂 Thank you for another fantastic year, Anthony. Like the figures you’ve reviewed, some of 2022 has been good, and some of it has been not so good, but your content has made all of it far better than it would have been without you.
The Darwin highlight reel is a gift. Frieza is my favourite figure of the year, I think. I enjoy that figure so much. Great list Anthony and thanks for all your work this year to help us all make sound purchasing decisions 🍻
Wednesday upload and its an end of year list! Solid choices and I like that you factored in how much you get for the price. The trend with a lot of figures recently is "How much can we charge for the bare minimum" so its nice to see figures that feel equal to or more than their value getting the spotlight.
Was surprised not to see SHF Krillin and some other figures on the list, but I remembered there will be a separate list for your top 10 faves. Looking forward to that as well
To me, my favorite release of the year is Mafex comic Iron Man, and for ML it’d be first appearance Spider-Man. Still, can’t disagree with your choices: Strange is an excellent ML and all the other figures you’ve picked are also wonderful. Thank you for another great year, Anthony! Merry Christmas and happy new year to you and your family!
Pretty cool list. I personally own the newest NARUTI & the MDLX Optimus, very happy with both of them. I wish I could get my hands on that McFarlane Azrael too.
Cool to see your list, Anthony. I have two of these on my list as well (or will once it's published lol), and have been super curious about the Digimon Anime Heroes, but haven't gotten around to check them out yet. Will have to now for sure! Have a great holiday, man!
These 3 are honorable mentions; maybe not the best articulation, but aesthetically great figures. 1). McFarlane Hawkman 2). McFarlane Heatwave 3). Diamond Select Titanium Man
Love my SOTO turtle figures. But my figure of the year for me has got to be Mummy Mike from the TMNT x Universal monsters line. It’s so well done and comes with two great head sculpts. The accessories/weapons are nice. Just a solid figure.
I wonder how many of your viewers will end up getting Darwin because of how fun you make him look on your videos :p I love your lists videos, keep it all coming. Happy Holidays!
I am on the fence to buy him! I swear this goofball of figure is almost my new figure of the year because of Anthony! Darwin is so bad that he is good(from a non marvel legends collector)!
Ik he's ineligible bc you didn't review him, but I want to give an Honorable Mention to a great release that you should definitely check out whenever you get the chance Dragon Stars Wrath State Broly. Probably one of the final releases of the entire line and it's an incredible figure to go out on! Fantastic sculpt, excellent paint, insanely good articulation, and a TON of posability!💚
Well at least we know what the number 1 Marvel Legends figure is going to be once you do ML Top 10. Thanks for the video. Provided me with the break I needed from grading so many exams.
My favorite figure I got this year from official releases is ssj 4 Goku, I genuinely love how much Saiyan swag he has posing him around. My favorite third party figure is the blue evolution Vegeta, I finally got an armored Vegeta which I am so happy about. Head swaps work pretty good on him. I am hyped to get the s.h figuarts trunks ssj figure as well as the super Saiyan Vegeta figure as that completes all my Vegeta forms from the anime. (Ssj2 Vegeta I got from Demonical fit and Kong studios I got ssj3 Vegeta.) Ok sorry I can't leave Sasuke out of this, I am blessed to be able to finally get a phenomenal Sasuke figure. He's my favorite overall figure this year then Goku ssj4. I appreciate content creators like you, it helps so much understanding value in figures and having fun which is most important
I'm surprised that Doctor Strange made the list, but in a way that I kinda forgot he existed for a while. I have him myself and he's wonderful, but I've him hovering over my collection so I can't just rip him down off the shelf and mess around with him.
That azrael by your logic would be my #1 for sure because it is great, and I found it in the garden section at my Walmart 5 months after it came out for $8
The Prime figure is beautiful. I bought it during Black Friday when my local shop had their annual sale. But I do think it is unfair to compare it ($80) to a McFarlane ($20) or Hasbro ($30). I do think there should be different classes - under $30 or $50 and those above $50 and those over $100.
Picked up the Figuarts Naruto today because of your review, and I´m really glad I did. Great value (30€) for a nice figure loaded with acessories. Thanks for the tip and great video.
I'm curious to the shade thrown at three zero in the Optimus review. I've heard nothing but good stuff about them, and have been slowly buying the Ironmans they're putting out. None are on the shelf yet. So before I open them, what gives you pause about them? What should I be looking out for?
In my opinion, another 20 bucks release Parallax, is the best figure coming out from mcfarlane this year and azrael is a close second. Interesting list btw, I kinda like it.
Mcfarlane could really be the best thing happening to dc figures if they gave more accessories and solve some basic sculpt and paint issues. Otherwise, the potential remains because they def can deliver no doubt
DUDE YOU ARE SOOOO RIGHT. Killing thing is the ones I've seen that I thought I would like and the ones I get in hand constantly make me change my mind. And what I like is their release schedule. Their expensive at $100.00 a pop but they come out sparingly enough not to ding my wallet but often enough to keep you intrested in the line. As SOON as Christmas is over I'm getting that War Machine and if I get it on sale, I'll get the Iron Man which I've been putting off since I have the DLX Iron Man. I'm hoping they take the War Machine and with a quick paint deco do a Punisher War Machine. .
@@marvinonstage ooooh punisher war machine is always sick!! And I agree with you on price and release schedule. Very doable and those figures just have this feeling of quality you don't get often.
@FineSpine Yes you can just hand it to someone and they will go..."Well this is obviously expensive." Thay says alot. I'm really on the fence if I should get 1 or 2 war machines. (Cost definitely being a consideration) but the reason is as I mentioned before. If they don't do a Punisher War Machine I'd like to have the option of doing one.
Threezero is a dope company when it comes to robot/mecha figures. Their Hulkbuster has to be one of the best large-sized figures of the year - even against the likes of the HasLab Galactus.
got Dr. Strange (just recently too from wal-mart online sale), Spawn, zangief and Knighfall Bats, plus the original NECA TMNT...so Liked this list 😁..Hope the company who did Prime would do the rest of the MP G1 like Autobots...
Wise of you to just remove Darwin from consideration since we all know he'd just lap the field. I just got the NECA TMNT II 4-pack yesterday and I wasn't that excited for it because I have the first movie figs, but damn are they impressive. Only nitpick I have that you didn't share here is the lack of vertical hinges for at least Leonardo's sword hands. I guess he really didn't use them in the movie though. Just curious, have you been able to pick up the Hudson figure from NECA's Gargoyles line yet? Might be my figure of the year. I've been content with the Gargoyles releases from NECA, but Hudson is the first one that really made me say "Wow."
I like the list and I like that there’s a mix. I personally might’ve put the Hunchback NECA Leo on there. I just through the design and accessories were really cool on that figure even thought I’m lot a Hunchback movie fan.
MDLX ThreeZero Prime is my #1 too. From articulation to overall aesthetics, ThreeZero killed. This is my only TF representation in my collection. I also back tracked and got the Bumblebee.
Truth be told, in my professional opinion as a Digimon fan and as a Wargreymon lover, the Bandai heroes Wargreymon is FAR SUPERIOR a figure from what Bandai put out earlier. Years ago they put out another Wargreymon under the D-Arts name which I also have. It had more articulation but was so FLIMSY and certain parts like the arm pit popped off. The Bandai heroes one is bigger, more on model to the show (note the shorter claws) and much more solid. Only shortcomings are the the paint on the D-Arts is better, it has chrome finish claws and it has an effect piece for his Terra Force attack (though it’s kinda puny) it’s a little pricey now but if you can get your hands on it you should compare the two.
Very surprised there are no Joes on this list. You gave Storm Shadow a 9/10 I believe and it’s a $23 figure. I’d say that’s far more value and quality than Wargreymon for an additional $3. The Snake Eyes and Timber was also pretty strong value IMO. That said definitely appreciate the list.
@@AnthonysCustoms I see. To each their own. On the Snake Eyes, I figured as much. With Storm Shadow I thought that 8/10 aesthetic and 9/10 overall would carry the day. But I get it, and as always appreciate your work. Happy holidays.
Can you do an updated Spider-Man list? You did one a long time ago and there have been so many new versions and paint variations not to mention the whole into the spiderverse lines that a new Spider-Man list compare is needed.
Darwin’s year in review was so great😂😂😂. I was wondering how you were going to include him in your top 10. If only he could spend some energy lowering the cost of groceries. Awesome top 10 video and year of reviews. I love you Anthony❤️💯💗💜💙💕💗💗💗💙💙💕🎄🎁🎄🎁💯💜❤️💗
Man I usually don't collect McFarlane dc multiverse because many figs have a diaper kinda look or look janky. Some look good but this azrael felt like it was made by a different company. Like it looks soo good asthetically that the inaccurate paint too doesn't look bad. For 20$ it is the best McFarlane fig along with the speeding bullets one
I can't stand the criticism towards Darwin. I think he's running America just fine.
He’s a decent soccer player too
Anthony's just racist towards the bald
Best comment 😂
Didn't he get caught stealing someone's luggage? Lol

Best thing about the holidays is it’s list time!
I really like these value-based top 10s, especially because I almost never shell out for the super expensive stuff
Nice list! Definitely picked up a few, but the highlight is just how lecherous Darwin has been this year! 😄
Darwin is an equal opportunity creeper, lol.
The later Gundam Universe figures also have really good value. I got the Gundam heavyarms. It's crazy how Bandai made it for only $25.
Agreed
Considering they managed an amazing hg model kit for 15, I'd be surprised if they could not do a decent action figure at 25 usd

The opening with figures humping is hilarious 😂

Those hilarious pics at the beginning make my day😂 Thanks for sharing
Happy to see Wargreymon on the list and really highlights the thesis statement of this list. Bang for the buck.

Not a top 10 but my figure of the year for the price is Classified Tiger Force Outback, at $22.99 with his articulation and gear, number one fig.
