As a Letterkenny man living in Shanghai, China, this is magical .Daniel you are simply " the best".
I find a sense of Jim Reeves in this song. I sounds like something that Jim would have sung, but I don't think he did. It is beautiful and very well done by Mr O'Donnell. Daniel, you are amazing. I have two of your cds plus a double set with forty songs. Thanks much from Anderson, Indiana.

I know I'm on record as saying I rated Daniel's big Sister more than he ( and still ) but I really like him singing Donegal shore even though it brings back some sad memories of the time I left Fanad Co Donegal & even though I had many reasons for leaving & not least the conflict in our Provance of Ulster -another reason was the Girl I loved like in the song told me she loved someone else more but we could still be friends !! I just knew for the sake of my Sanity I had to leave our Fanad Community & can you imagine when I learned a bit later she had married & comes out with my Donegal Shore & I had grown up adjacent to Ballymastocker beach & the song made me very sad at first but grew to really like it*****

I remember when this song was a huge hit. He has really made it his own. He always had great respect for songs from the 60's and 70's. In fact, Big Tom recorded it originally. Not many people know that.

From Portsalon down to Killybegs as my old home in drumany is just a sprint along Lough Swilly on ballymastocker Beach to Portsalon ( I think Donegal Danny is one of the few about lovely Donegal that Daniel hasn't recorded) *****
