I was doin fine till you got to the IT-490...and i had to fight back the tears! Then right after that ya showed not one, but TWO YZ-490'S, and i lost it!.....so beautiful! Your a lucky man captain!!! God bless you brother!
That museum is sacred ground to me Ken. I watched every second of this tour. Thanks for taking your time to show us. I wish nothing but the best for you.
I have to say that experiencing the museum in person is absolutely amazing. We were lucky enough to meet everyone and lucky enough to live close by and even see Kaplan at the gym often. Such a great guy. A true gentleman.
Had a thought...i was sittin here thinkin how bad i wished i lived close enough to visit your museum, and i had an idea,...have you ever thought of making a series of well produced hard back coffee table size books of nothing but pictures of every bike in your museum and offering them online to folks across the country that may not ever be able to see your museum in person? Maybe each volune costing around $20 to $30? ....just a thought. Love the videos brother! God bless America!
LOVE watching these walk-throughs and seeing these beauties - and I'm STILL planning on visiting and seeing them in person with my Pops here this year or next...one really can't see these machines enough! Thanks Captain - Kaplan America!!!! 🇺🇸 💪 ✝️ Always enjoy the content...you guys take volunteers??? haha I already have steady income...lol I'd love to be around that energy, even for one day! Bet you guys are a hoot to ride with too! God bless! 🙌 🙏
That touched me then ken, when you said junior is gonna get this bike when I pass, ' getting soppy in old age', were only here for a short time and ken your doing a great job of showing the world your passion for life and professional conduct, love your attitude and it would be fun to meet you if you ever came over to the isle of man, look after yourself and your great team of guys.
What a commitment you have made to the motorcycle world with your museum and providing informative and entertaining videos. Well done Ken. Happy Easter to you and yours.

Awesome tour , thanks for sharing , see the bikes in other videos and been wanting to view them from Australia , the new dealership will go very well all the best ...
I live about an hour and a half away in Becket, Mass. I raced NESC from the time I was 11 until I was 22. I'm not sure my 8 year old would care to come to the museum because he's not into motorcycles like I was/am, but I may just come by myself.
Thanks for the update! Good to know you have many forever bikes!! I was hoping that the Gene Romero(is that correct?) Triumph was left to display by the new owner. Any chance?? You have much to be proud of and an excellent caretaker team!! Gonna have to visit soon!
Really sweet machines on display. That 37 Indian on the lift & that old works Husky stood out to me. I'd l9ve to see the place. Not just the bikes but the amazing compound! That building or buildings are absolutely priceless! You'll never see anything built like that again.
Man...... I could sit here and watch these bikes all day! Ide love to start early am and just look at each bike and how.they changed over the years.. Those rokons tho.. I remember there was a model that used to have a lawnmower engine on it I don't know if it was a Rokon or not
Hey Ken as a 81 Honda Twinstar owner of 30 years myself ,it's great to see that little somewhat obscure bike as they only made it for 3 years ,that its awesome to know it has a place in the museum ,and ya when i take mine to show and shines, i get the same responses ..like oh i had that same bike as a kid.or he'll turn to the girlfriend that's my very first bike ..i had one guys say he'd never seen it as a bagger ,as mine has a Rooster fairing on it and shoei hard bags on it ..Oh im still looking for a decent front fender for my old kid ..lol just thought id throw that in there lol.
Your museum is awesome Kenny love to visit one day come across the pond from England if you don't mind what part of America are you based please thank you top man 👍👍🇬🇧
Gotta love that museum it’s like a time machine throwing back good memories. Thanks Ken for sharing your knowledge and the walk & talk through definitely planning a visit. God bless America. 😎🇺🇸✌🏽
I love old open valve train motors. I know a guy who has a home built airplane single seat open cockpit ultra light sport looking plane that some college kid built with his own plans in the 1940s using a old Harley open valve motor spinning the prop. Yes the plane does fly it never flew until 2019 when my buddy gpt it and got it back into flight condition and man this thing sounds so sweet as well. I think that wpuld make a good piece I your museum
The bible of dirtbikes the best book on planet earth nothing will beat this the 1970s a dream kept alive through ken my best brother my family cheers buddy have a great weekend
Came out to your opening day a few years back with a buddy. It was a great time. We both work at Unadilla, I’m assuming we’ll see you there for the rewind and the National this summer.
Always enjoy the tours ..would love to visit in person ..only 1,624 miles /24 hours travel time away..I have the time ..just not the funds at the moment...some day ..hopefully soon
Thank you for the video tour through your amazing collection of the most iconic motorcycles ever built,, I will make it there some day to meet You an your family & Employees,, Im So looking forward to that day...
IN 1975 I OWNED A 125 CARABELLA MX. BOUGHT IT IN XENIA OHIO AT COMPITITON ACCESSORIES, VERY STRONG BIKE WITH A ONE RING PISTON, I NOTICED THE CAREBELLA PARTS SIGN IN YOU WALK-THROUGH.. ANY BIKES???
I wish I had every bike I ever owned, from the first Gilera 50cc when I was 12, but I sold them for next to nothing, TS100 for £100, XL 185 for £120, etc etc, not having anywhere to keep them makes you part with them, you don't have that problem. lovely bikes, lovely building and display. . . PS what's your favourite TV show ?
I hope someone can display my dr-650 and my gear. Nothing extraordinary. But I feel a display would be cool tribute / display to just common blue collar workers
It's a beautiful place you have there Ken, I know you've put a lot of hard work n no doubt some Dollar too over the yrs!! But I take my hat off to you all you've deserved the results! Fantastic! Well done! My 2008 FXDSE2 SE CVO 110 Custom Dyna's off the road again at the min till I got the £'ss to buy a new rear tire as had a damn rivet go right thro the bloody centre of it!! Gonna get a front too, I use Avon's, 180/55 ZR17 Storm on back and I ain't keen onCobra's so gonna fit a Avon Roadrider on the front 90/90-21 54V should be loads better I think! And need to replace steering lock complete, as it screwed up after I'd ridden it last and locked it up, so was in the locked position and couldn't get the lock out,so lost my rag, butchered the barrel and I paid a mate £10 to use a hacksaw blade only by hand to saw the hardened pin that goes down n located in bottom tree hole, it took him over an HR and a half to get thro it, as only about a 4/5mm gap to get in between the bottom of the steering head and top of bottom tree, I couldn't face standing there that long gettin sore hands n fingures! He he. Big hole in the side of frame now, untill I fit a new unit! That should be easy, I hope! I'm amazed my 110's still running ok just, it vibrates no end the pistons are that loose in the bores after it overheated, due to varying reasons about 2/3 yrs ago it took me £1300 and 5mths to have the money to "bodge" the Top end, I could only afford to re- ring it, Pinion shaft runout was 0.007" when I checked before anything else, but impossible to afford complete motor rebuild £6K min inc' Primary, stupid money! Had to replace the 255's cams, lifters, brgs, but oil pump and camplate were all ok within specs, so must have done something right after I'd lifted the motor out cleaned it all up, fitted few parts ngaskets bolted back in, still goin!! The Thundetmax I'd fitted really helps along with K.n P high flow billet re useable oil filter too, got a few degrees down more straight up, I highly recommend one, pricey but it's definitely helped! Oh well gotta sell another of my small guitar collection to buy parts for bike get back on the road soon I hope! Had to sell four of my electric guitars last time and now think it's gonna be my beloved 1982 MIJ Washburn HB35DL Semi Hollow body electric on fantastic condition a and becoming very rare, but doubt i' get top price for it todays, a good few hundred I hope! All the he.best, Andy, England
See i am 62 and i will not stop loving 70s dirtbikes ever even when i am a hundred and fifty i will not stop admiring these role model dirtbikes of motocross another beauty i love was the 70s swm italy and the orange canam bomadiers and mx6 and the rotax engine a rare canadian breed precious jewel
