I have no idea how I landed here, but I'm amazed and in love by the way you portray and are able to turn those described smells into vivid images through your analogies!
A PERFECT look for the fragrance Sam. My gosh, I could listen to you describe scents all day. And night. In fact, I might just dream about Fars tonight...🛌 🤤
G’day Sam thanks for your video I’m Xerjoff’s fan and had Alexandria II and Malesia but order a sample set from xerjoff and already got Fars absolutely stunning. Next one will be Indochine cheers Mariano
FARS is very nice, though it can call to mind a very high-end soap. The botanical accords I suppose. Great, if you want to smell clean. It is vastly different from Ceylon and Mamluk which, to my nose, are more typical of Xerjoff's Oud Stars lineup.
I really like the analogies you've painted. This one is one of my favorites from this house. I've gotten so many compliments from my decant that I had to hunt down a bottle. Thanks for sharing such an beautiful review of an outstanding fragrance
Thank you very much Charles. I'm so glad someone else owns and loves this beauty. I receive compliments with Fars as well, there's just something otherworldly and alluring about her. 🌹Xo Sam.
@@MyWorldofFragrance you're very welcome. I havent seen reviews of this one especially recent years. This was welcomed and right on time. Im looking forward to future reviews from you
You'll be an amazing story teller, my goodness the description is just BUY ME NOW! Excellent review. I've Sampled Nio & Richwood, Nio is in my wishlist along with Alexandria II (Blind Buy it'll be)
Thank you very much for this review. I blind bought full bottle of Fars also thanks to you and I must say its an amazing scent. For me its exotic in a way of representing classy and ancient era at the same time. Dreamy, mysterious, elegant, it makes me do the sound of "mmmm" whenever I smell it. :) Did you try other Oud Stars as well?
Wow, that was brave blind buying Fars, but I absolutely love this one. I do love Alexandria II and Mamluk as well... well I have a lot of Xerjoff loves :) Xo Sam
What's your favorite Roja Parfum? I've tried 3. I love Creation E/Engima. Elysium is nice also, but not one of my favorites. Didn't care for Amber Aoud.
Sure, they are also called amber fragrances as they usually have an ambery base. E.g. Shalimar is a classic oriental fragrance. I love this category! I made a video on fragrance terms on my channel if you have a look. 🌹Xo Sam
It isn't easy to explain in so many words. Oriental scents tend to be on the warm thick, heavy side, with complex spicy characters leaning to sweet but not necessarily gourmand. Best suited to evening and colder weather, Vanilla, oud, jasmine and patchouli are common elements. They often come across as mysterious and luxurious.
I haven’t tried any Xerjoff yet but I’m looking to buy my first four bottles and this one is one of the ones that I was thinking of him. I’m thinking about More Than Words, Golden Dallah, Luxor, Comandante or Fars. What do you think of these 5 if you could only choose 4 which would you choose?
I have not tried Golden Dallah, so the other four 😁. Well, in all honesty, you should get samples first. The one that is the most unique out of those is Fars. More Than Words is oud and rose - you can find many other brands doing this. But if you're new to luxury, maybe you will love it. It's hard to advise when I don't know more about you.🌹Xo Sam
@@MyWorldofFragrance thanks so much Sam and that makes total sense. Here’s a little about what I like...a lot of my favorite fragrance are darker. I like Oud, incense, boozy, tobacco, coffee and patchouli, are probably my favorite notes but I also like spicy oriental or spicy Woody fragrances. I like citrus but Complexed citrus Fragrances that have more depth and have some of those darker notes within. I have tried a sample of Fars and Golden Dallah so I know I love them. Based on what you now know about me other than Fars could you recommend two other Xerjoff fragrances? Thanks! Xo Bryan
@@bryancastater2337 Hi Bryan, I think you should check out Zefiro from the 1861 Collection. If you like attars/real oud oil then try to sample Warda Al Oud. Give More Than Words a sniff, it could be your thing, Alexandria III, Luxor is nice. Comandante is an unusual take on tobacco, so I would recommend checking it out as well as Don if you like gunpowder with your booze and tobacco. I hope that helps. 🌹Xo Sam
@@MyWorldofFragrance I will definitely try these. They sound right up my alley. Thank you so much Sam! This is a house I’ve been wanting to check out for a while now. I love your perspective and description of them the best. 😊 xo

You are so well spoken 😍 and the fact that you actually researched the name Fars to give us a background on it is amazing.

Alluring review, like a fairy tale story. I need Fars or the Al Karachi discovery from your other review!
please do reviews of every xerjoff that you have....i like all my xerjoff fragrances, but nio stands above.with ivory route close by
Oh yes I will! To be honest they are all pretty amazing. Nio and Ivory Route are both lovely, lucky you to have them! 🌹 Xo Sam
I have almost all the xerjoff oud stars. However I never bought the Fars because I was afraid it was a too safe and commonplace scent.

In terms of ambregris, must try Affinessence- Musc ambregris.
Fantastic raw, mineral, salty with musky, earthy undertone
Wow that sounds incredible... thanks for the tip! 🌹Xo Sam

I just started collecting fragrances in 2019 but I don’t actually understand what a ‘oriental’ fragrance is, could somebody explain this please ?

How much does the older bottle design of fars go for?
I love it, but for me it's actually a day fragrance.
