I just squirmed and quinched throughout this whole video now im scared about getting one , and why haven’t prosthetic rods been made yet like ones that turn into actual flesh
I did this surgery on both of my feet a year ago the doctor did a really bad job on my L with time I wasn’t able to use regular shoes because of the way my toe was and i had to go for a second opinion and they recommended a second surgery, its been two weeks already and at this point i dont care about the scar or the way my toe will look i just want to be pain free and be able to use sneakers
Actually, this is a very low risk procedure. And the shortening can be minimal or significant depending upon the patient. Feel free to contact the office to discuss with our staff (281) 444-6300
I had mine almost a year ago and the only problem I have now is not being able to bend my toe because of the fusion of my joints. Then you have my increased sensitivity to it. Other than that I can do everything else perfectly fine as nothing changed.
@@n0zack444 i’m surprised there’s no pain in walking or anything! i wonder how the bendable pin doesn’t curve over time of daily use and pressure. especially in the same direction! does bone grow around the pin?
Will that fix hammer toes too. I almost got sick watching you cutting into her foot I'm very sensitive when things are like this with surgery I can never be a nurse. Lol Good job Do you numb her foot too I hope or is she actually already sedated as you're doing that??
I want to know this, too, because if that were me, I'd have to be out. Even if I couldn't feel it, just hearing it would make me levitate out of the chair!
Just saw this video. What's the total cost for that procedure? Love how you easily explain it step by step. After that procedure is done how long does the patient need to stay off her foot?
@@genevievebingham940 Very little. The incision takes 2 weeks to heal and then back into loose shoes in three weeks. With the exception of the first 2 -3 days, we recommend 'touch down' weight bearing and minimize activity.
I wonder why the lady got his nails with enamel...here in the Hospital where I practice surgery no Patient is allowed to be at the operating theatre with coloured nails in any way..and the reason is simple..the probably of get an infection...
She appears nowhere near what I'm going through wow I got serious deformities and I'm scared to get surgery because I have arthritic conditions that means that the surgeries are not going to correct anything else that's going on in my body
This doctor really enjoys his work. Very good video.
Nice and simple technique, thank you sir
Very clean smooth job!
That is seriously so cool. I wasn't sure what a toe shortening procedure entailed, but did not expect that! 🤔
Нет, пациент труп украинской военной ей не больно
Me: I need to see exactly how this surgery is done.
Also me: oh dang we’re just gonna get in there with that scalpel huh? 😯
Ugh this is so interesting but so gross at the same time😭😂
Amazing...
Sir can you upload some videos about hind foot mid foot fractures (calcaneous talus fractures etc ) thank you sir

Make sure you sue for malpractice
Are there any long term effects when getting this done and shortening the toe? Been looking into doing this and I am very curious.
Thank you
might end up having chronic pain

Is this defined as 'minimally invasive'?
You should see the alternative.
I think I’m not going to have surgery thought of being sedated I’ve had two bunion surgeries I was awake
Poor gurl my mom had same problems
So you can’t bend your toes anymore after this?
Definitely not
After the incision, to toe looked like a droopy used condom
i cant just imatine wat would happen if she was awakae
The same as if she wasn't awake
The same im sure shes not awake
Sir after this surgery can he or she fold his toes from pip joint ?
Hey there! Dr. Moore answered your question in his newest video here: ua-cam.com/video/b-rBxFRd7Tc/v-deo.html
Thank you!

@Toni Ramo Let me know how your procedure went. And how much your insurance covered. Hope it goes smoothly
@toniramo8983 how did it go?
I have a big gap between big toe and second to , can you fix this or sew the 2 toes together?
I believe that is called "sandal gap" and I have the same thing. Heading to an ortho surgeon next week to see if he can fix it. Surgically I'm sure.
@@mariadecker9490 What country are you in? Let me know the outcome, i will be interested to know.
@@mariadecker9490 what was the outcome?
Will you be able to have normal toe/ foot function once you are healed ?
Yes, there’s no change in foot function and you are able to walk, run or any other activity.
@@DrRobertJMooreIII there's no downtime for this procedure?

Imagine being awake during this
Imagine not having any anesthesia during this.
How much does this cost?
About $4,500... Or Just cut ✂️ out a hole at the toes of your shoes, it's a whole lot cheaper!
Lmao
What is recovery time 2:02
I have the patients keep their foot dry for 2 weeks, then three weeks back in shoes. One of the more simple recoveries for foot surgery.
..Trinston was here
I have all ten toes hammertoe.. Can I get surgery on them
Yes and Medicare cover it
No blood lots bones
Yes i was confused too
Her toes looks so normal

Soon those ppl would say " I got my knees done"🤣🤣🤣. Seriously, social media is so unhealthy for some out there
Hammertoe surgery has been around for many decades and it's not just cosmetic... I can be really painful.
@@begevt Hi!!!! How are your feet? Did you like the results? How long did it take to deflate and improve? Thanks!
Dear God…I want this done to my second toe, but this vid just…🤦🏽♀️
Same! Mine is sooo long I hate it and it hurts and my toenails are growing weird. Talked my my podiatrist today he said we can discuss surgery!
Will insurance cover this?
We did this procedure in my garage. Problem solved...
I can feel it in my toe ugh feel my grandma got that
Is this a dummie or a real person's foot
Real foot
Your are correct Ms. Roberts. It's the tourniquet and duraprep (yellow pre operative preparation) that makes the foot look odd and off color.
bro why does she have nail polish that's odd
Me it seems is dead.
Meu deus que inútil. compra sapatos maiores
This is horrible! She might regret it when she is old
utterly utterly utterly unnecessary. the cheap simple fix was - get better shoes. not shorten your toes. ffs
