Hi Krista! Your tutorial is awesome! I will try the scalloped border again. My first attempt was less than what I had anticipated. Your techniques and finished quilts are spectacular! Thank you for sharing your talent!!
Your tutorials are always so well presented. Will there be a written pattern coming out for this charm quilt? This quilt is so innovative … another design winner for sure..
That looks beautiful Krista, love ❤️ it. I have done Summer Succulents in the pastel kit that I purchased from you and was wondering what colour thread you used for the top quilting on it? Thank you. Maureen NZ
It might be helpful, especially if your border isn't quilted right to the edge. I could see it helping to keep looser layers together, but you don't want it to tug on the binding or the quilt too much and distort things as you go around each curve.
I am making a scalloped valance for my exterior porch curtains. The scallops are wide with deep pointed valleys. Any tips on attaching bias tape will be appreciated. Thank you!
I think you'll get some good tips on those inside valleys from my video on binding inside angles. Here is a link to that. You can just combine these two lessons! ua-cam.com/video/pTo4w-CpGus/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
Hi Betty! You won't need much extra. I just calculate for the parameter of the quilt with straight measurements and add about 10" to the total amount. It just doesn't take much more to do scallops.
I am so glad I found your channel! I subscribed for sure. I am learning a lot from your videos. You are such a great instructor!
Thank you so much Karen!

Thanks so much! 🥰
You're on a Bernina. Wgat foot are you using? You said 2 to the right, but it looks like 2 to the left. Love my Bernina and really want to try this.

How do you calculate length of binding needed for a scalloped borders
You won't need much more than if the border were straight. I might add an extra 8-10" to the total length just to have plenty to work with.
Do you have any tips on how to calculate the length of bias binding for a scalloped border?

@@kristamoser thank you so much Krista. This is my first time binding a scalloped border. Your comments have been very helpful. 💕
@@kristamoser I think you mean perimeter, the measurement all around the outside edge.
What foot are you using to top stitch?
