- This is a short student film with a budget of, well...nothing. It was created by our group as our Final Major Project at college.
It's about a boy, Tom, who after experiencing a car crash at age 3; has his life flipped upside down. He now suffers from a stutter and life is hard for him. Not only does he not get any help from his own family, he is constantly picked on at college. Tom's life is appearing to be descending into hell until he stumbles across hope, also known as Anna.
The film took 4 months to plan and 3 weeks to shoot.
Shot using a Lumix G7 and a Nikon D7100.

Hey everyone, just wanted to say thank you so much for all your kind words and love on this short film! 52k and counting!
Can’t believe it’s almost 7 years since we made it. It’s heartwarming seeing so many of you talk to one another about the worries around stuttering, this is why I love the UA-cam community ❤
What short film would you like to see next?
Thank you for your continued support ✌️
When everyone else is laughing to a person who stutters and you just stare at them and be like "i know that feeling bro,it's not funny"
So true
it makes me want to cry when people laugh at my stutter in class. I can feel my face get so red and it just makes my stutter worst.
Veteran actor James Earl Jones overcame a childhood stuttering problem to eventually become one of the greatest actors in the world. Excellent film. I hope it's gotten international attention.
This was amazing. Simply amazing. I've been living with a stutter for 18years. Video's like these always touch my heart. Thank you for your hard work and dedication. RetroGamer.
RetroGamer Reviews Thank you for the kind words, means a lot! Our director, Luke Gardner, knows the struggle too, so the story came straight from the heart

I've been living with a stutter for 15 years, and I wish I find a girl who will love me for who I am. Anyway the story was awesome.
U will find one
I'm a girl with stutter too, wanna marry me? XD
@@abaz6955 I would love to!
@@NicholasDhruboDas hey so even a year after you still single?
Btw do you have Discord?
@@abaz6955 Yes I am still single and I do have discord.
Great message you're sending out guys. Who knew that all you need is a pretty girl encouraging you to read aloud from a book and telling you to "slow down" would cure a stammer.
Suzy Baines really ? I hope by reading aloud consistently it can trully help and cured stutter. But i think many pws don't really experience that.
But beside that, i want to appreciate the creator who put great effort making this short movie. Excellent
Mate chill, nothing can 'cure' a stammer, just something that can help gain control. And not just a pretty girl, but encouragement, full stop

Oh! This is really amazing!
I thought my stutter was the only stutter in the world, I usually feel unhappy because I couldn't communicate with people in the society and most people turns to exclude me in so many activities, especially my friends.
This short movie really gives me hope and courage now to look to the optimistic and to find true love, a girl who will love me for who I am not my stutter 🙏❤️
O amor é tudo! ❤
I have been stuttering all my life though its better now way too better thanks to the almighty but i started to develop the fair again i have done many speech competitions and actually won i dont stutter tbh but the fair makes me tear up again just breaks me how god gave me everything except for this little thing

❤It's hard to talk about it. It's a painful truth. I suffered a lot from it. I wish I could control it as much as possible.
Im stutterer and it so hard, when i was studying i cant express everything especially when in the middle of the class and i have ideas and i think a best answer to the topic but i cant raise my hand to share my knowledge. Theres a lot of chances and opportunities that i wasted during my studies. Now im working and still lack of confidence in everything especially in verbal aspect. 😳 its hard to explain to others my situation but i trying my best to inform and educate people i encounter when i stturer while im talking. Now i use some technique that i know helps me to at least lessen my stutter. I hope someday i met a person who's understand me with my situation.
.
I will always choose to have a positive mind set rather than to think give up. #EmbraceYourFlaws 🙂
Throughout my life, I've faced the obstacle of stuttering, which started at an early age. This has been a part of my journey, shaping the way I express myself. I understand it might be challenging for others, but I believe that true connection goes beyond the surface. Unfortunately, my girlfriend decided to part ways, expressing concern about societal judgments. I'm learning to embrace my unique way of communicating, and I hope to find someone who appreciates me for who I am. It's a journey, and I'm committed to growing and connecting with those who value the person behind the words. Thank you for understanding.
I have a stutter I know how hard that can be
I'm 17....and even thought about suicide 😭😪😪😪😪...but now I'm strong enough to mind my own business even if everyone laugh at me...
Same..I stammer and I'm 17 too..
This is absolutely amazing 👏 👏
Wow, one of most inspiring short movies I have seen for a while. I have had a stutter for over 30 years. It reminded me of my time at University but alas I didn't have a girl who told me to speak slower. I did know a girl who changed my life though. Maybe that would have given me a shortcut to stuttering freedom.
I finally faced my fears and actually interviewed 20 people to write my first book last year. It's amazing to know how confidence can be built. From the love of a girl who is interested in you despite the stutter to facing your fears and becoming an author.
I had a question, what inspired you to do this movie on stuttering and did or do any of the actors stutter before or still do stutter? The very best of luck in your future projects.
Do u stutter now?
Swwamp I don’t regard the stumbling I sometimes experience when speaking as stuttering. I feel connected with every one so no longer feel judged shamed and I don’t hide the fact that I stuttered. Checkout my videos on stuttering on purpose with a beautiful woman and at McDonald’s
I'am a girl and I'm a stutter
In my first day of school for this year every teacher wants to introduce all the students by themselves I was very scared cuz I'm a stutter I was introduce myself in every period and I was always make a mistake while saying my name

I am Stutter and watch this video i am motivated thanks 👍👍👍👍
I’m a stutter. 不是那么严重,但确实时常困扰着我。I remember it clearly, is 4th G primary school in English class.
Yoo. :(
You didn't lie

I am a stutter too.... I can feel it.. 🥺🥺
Is the audio on his voiceover out of phase? It sounds like it. But aside from that - nice one.
Well directed, executed, cast selection & acting were good & the social message made a positive contribution. The script was simple, sweet & straightforward, but didn't wow me. I believe that film producers have an obligation to contribute & not pollute. Since this one was positive it get's a 👍from me. Critical View✍Point From USA!!
This shot film impressed me for me also same problem 😭
Nice film! 👊

I hope he apologized to Andy. He may be a dick and a bully (and, to be fair , we don't know what he had done previously) but he didn't deserve to get beaten up as he didn't steal the phone.
