I'm glad to see an honest UA-camr stay with something that works for them instead of getting the latest and greatest just because they can every year. Being relatable and great content is what makes this channel so great!
Oh man. Could it really be the end of an era?? The g400 has been in the bag as long as I’ve followed along. If it is the end, that’s ok, in 2019 I actually picked up a g400 lst based on your review, and given the fact that it was a model year older, I was able to pick up a used one at a great price and it’s certainly served its purpose.
My son plays the G400 and hits it huge distances and I am a big Ping fan but I play a TS3 as at the time, it WAS the best driver for me and I still think the new range of TSi’s are probably the best on the market atm!
Everything about that test said you should switch. Better ball speed on mis hits and better ball speed in general. Also better dispersion. I have the tsi3. Really loving it
Just got fit for the driver & TSi3 came out on top. I play a 45” driver, so the fitter put a -5 weight in the T1 & the standard weight in the H1 position & for me, the MOI seems to be the same or better than the Ping. Distance and dispersion were awesome & the sound/feel is just 🤤
Love my TSi3. First ever driver that I have felt that about since the 910 ! I tried every Titleist model apart from 917 but never felt any were an improvement on the 910. I tried the TS3 for about a month last year it underwhelmed me and the sound was awful. So I strayed and bought a G410 which was good and easy to hit Still looking for more tried the Sim Max, also good but just not the one ! The TSi3 is an eye opener when into the wind. When into a wind and you catch a low one it goes a lot longer than you think. I find I have added around 10 yards and as a bonus it can be hit off the ground.
Sounds like you were never really thrilled w/ the looks of the PING G400 LST -- but stayed w/ it because the performance was reasonably good. Your numbers are better w/ the Titleist TSi3. If you can validate the Titleist performance advantage out on the course -- it's probably time for a change :)
@@quentindohnt I was reacting to Michael's comments that the PING G400 LST was "...a little bit busy on the head w/ the turbulators"...and that he "...prefers a more classic look" (see 2:10 minute mark).
TSi3 is a great driver! I just went for the SIM2 MAX, in my opinion the best looking driver of the forgiving models. Now I'm looking for an easy to hit hybrid that sits square by the golf ball. That is not an easy task as you now. Will probably go for Ping :) It's a petty that SIM2 MAX hybrid sits close.
Love my TS3i with graphite design Tour AD XC shaf😎 Came from TS3 but found TS3i a little bit more forgiving on slight misshits and the combination TS3i head with the Graphite design shaft was a winning combo for me. Tighter dispersion and a little more distance and better feel /sound compared to the TS3. Just back from 18 holes and didn’t miss a fairway 😄
I'm gaming a 2013 Cobra ZL driver. I was having issues hitting fairways with my old Callaway and the pro shop said here try this one. It's other worldy compared to anything else. I rarely miss a fairway and it goes dead straight every time. Not giving it up and not interested in changing it. Over the ball I just have that feeling of super confidence that I'm going to crush it and I do. It should be good for years to come. Golfers these days fall hard for the marketing hype. If you have clubs that work for you what's the point of changing?
I had the G400 for a long time as well...and the sound was always lacking. In my opinion, the TSi3 looks better, sounds better, has better dispersion and a touch longer...what are you waiting for? :)
enjoy your reviews, this one caught my eye as I hang on to my G400 Max but I know I'm leaving some distance but not willing to reduce fairways for 5-10 yards, with your exp is the TSi3 less forgiving the 400max for those of us that dont hit the middle every shot?
So I use the 8.5 G400LST with great results! You tested the 9 in the video and you previously used the 8.5, did you try the 8.0 at all? If so, was it noticeably lower launch that the 9 or you think there is not much in it? As the 8.5 was in the middle I’m not sure which way to go! I know all adjustable but I prefer to play it at A1 with logo down.
Got to go TSi. Or maybe B21 as you seemed to hit that great, should dampen the right miss a bit too! I’m thinking I’ve got to at least try one to see what it’s like, but most reviews I’ve seen think it’ll be a good fit, not sure about looks is all!
Not sure why the Callaway GBB 21 Driver with the stock stiff shaft isn't going the bag? Go back and look at the #'s. You crushed that thing! 1 mph less swingspeed than the tsi3 yet 3mph more ball speed. 10 yards more carry and 15 total distance. 400 less RPMs than tsi3 and the dispersion was outstanding as well. What am I missing? Why would you give up those yards when there is no penalty in dispersion? It also seemed you were really swinging the GBB with a super smooth effortless swing as well. The marketing of that driver doesn't necessarily fit your profile but something about that shaft and head really worked for you.
At my local shop they have tons of cobras, a truckload of Sim2’s, a full rack of Callaway’s, all sorts of titleists but every time they get a shipment of g425’s they sell out in a day. Like I shit you not, I got to demo the sim2 a week before release and 2 months later I haven’t even seen a g425 🤷♂️ they must have something going on
@@MichaelNewtonGolf then i would pull the trigger. better performance even though it was slight. but the looks, sound and feel was noticeably better so easy choice to switch. cannot underestimate sound and feel
Go to TSi3. You’ll get used to it. But keep the Ping G400 just in case. Let’s hope your government will allow you to actually get out on the course. That’s when it all really matters.
Even if the numbers for Ping are better, I will never put that horrendous looking thing in the bag. There will always be a product with similar numbers and easy to look at. Titleist it is!
I still think those numbers are not really what they say swing is good but to stand there and just hit it on target 🎯 and that far there’s no way I see it going out here that far !

Thanks Nick 👍
Just got fit into the TSi3 from the Ping G410 LST. Look, sound and feel was enough for me to switch, and the extra ball speed was just a bonus.
Best reviewer of golf gear! I am thinking to do the same change atm .

Come on Michael stop kidding yourself. You know it's going in the bag. 😊

Tsi sound is everything.
Nick Faldo gave his clubs one shot to be considered for putting in his bag. Your first shot with that TSi3, I think, sealed the deal.

Awesome 👍
After that don’t think there’s any question what driver you’ll be playing in 2021! Smoke RDX a great shaft too
Titleist tsi3 is best driver I’ve ever owned. I can work it and the mishits are much less punishing than previous models

G425 hybrid is a great option to try 👍
Time for the switch....I just did it as well, TSi3 is amazing!!

Agree
I have the TSI3 in 8 degrees, best driver l have ever used.
Put it in the bag mike!! I did and everyone I play with says: “that driver sounds sooo good!”
I realize I'm kinda randomly asking but do anybody know a good website to watch newly released series online ?
@Koda Prince lately I have been using Flixzone. Just search on google for it =)
@Dalton Alessandro definitely, been watching on Flixzone for years myself :)
@Dalton Alessandro Thank you, signed up and it seems to work =) I appreciate it!
@Koda Prince No problem xD

Titleist is a smidge better, I’d make the switch based on dispersion. Nice review.

The TSi3 Driver & Hybrids are absolute winners
Great video Mike sounds like Tsi is in for me if not G425 Lst maybe or the Sim 2 you bombed that🚀🏌♂️👍😊

100% correct but no way near as good looking as the Titleist, BB21 has on set and a triangular shaped head , not my cup of tea.
I love Ping but go for it...cant argue with the numbers and dispersion
Your enthusiasm hitting the titleist tho...
Yep, it’s nice 👍
Go for the shiny!
Great video! You tee up pretty high. Which may work well with a 8-degree head. Have you tried?
100% don’t want to lower my launch with less loft......
Do you remember the Tour Edge EXS PRO?
You would smash that thing!
I think EXS PRO
vs TSi 3
vs Sim 2
for the rights to be in your bag.
Yes good driver and so is the new TE C721
Can’t go wrong with the new Titleist, although the Ping is still a good choice.

the only thing i’d do is test a few different shafts in the TSI to see if you can get even better performance but i’d definitely upgrade
Already done that personally plus Titleist fitted me for the RDX
@@MichaelNewtonGolf then i would pull the trigger. better performance even though it was slight. but the looks, sound and feel was noticeably better so easy choice to switch. cannot underestimate sound and feel
G425 LST vs. TSi3
So did you discount moving to the g425 purely on sound vs performance? I’ve had 400/410 & got 425 now & have to say it’s very loud indeed but delivers
Love everything about the G425 apart from the sound (and slightly ever so slightly the looks), very straight hitting & forgiving!
I’m buying the tour edge after this season. I loved titleist drivers up until this season. I don’t love the looks of TS3
What shaft did you say you have in the Titleist here?
TSi won the day, looks like that HZRDUS is a very good fit for you.
I compared Ping g410 lst and tsi3 extensively and decided to stay with g410. TSI3 is very good but the occasional low left miss is what scares me.
Depends on your delivery and strike pattern 👍
Go to TSi3. You’ll get used to it. But keep the Ping G400 just in case. Let’s hope your government will allow you to actually get out on the course. That’s when it all really matters.
TSi3 was dominating. And your face COR is starting to wear out on your LST :). j/k
4 mph more ball speed, you should definitely switch!
Still the best driver you hit was the BB21, accurate with distance. Best fairway finder that you have tested for yourself.
he didn't like the closed face but it did perform well.
Plus wasn’t massively keen on the on set and triangular head shape 👍
Tsi3!
A bit lower flight but otherwise all the other metrics are better with the TSi3
TSI3!!!!!
Hi Mike,
Titleist wins. You need to change 👍👍
Go with the TSi 3. 👍🏌️♂️
Titleist mike. It’s the way forward 💪💪
😁
My G400 SFT is the best I have found
You should try the new Ping
I have....
TSi3 WINNER....better... spin variablility, distance, dispersion, sound, looks.
Still wondering why you don’t game the B21. It gave you the best numbers I’ve seen you get from a driver.
That is true, Mike was pounding them out there with Callaway BB.
Just not keen on the looks! The on set, triangular head....
Good performer tho!
It’s the Wilson 👍
😂👍
Even if the numbers for Ping are better, I will never put that horrendous looking thing in the bag. There will always be a product with similar numbers and easy to look at. Titleist it is!
the Titleist is a pretty club but, on a sunny day, it might blind you. lol
Not many sunny days in the UK
TSi3
With the TSi3 you could get into the Clayton team ! haha
Not sure about that nowadays! Too many good lads!
Would be nice if you purposely hit some out the heel with the tsi
I still think those numbers are not really what they say swing is good but to stand there and just hit it on target 🎯 and that far there’s no way I see it going out here that far !
Conditions set with strong tailwind at elevation maybe?
G425 LST will beat that and also the TSI 3 isn't the low spin model so once again not a fair comparison.
Sim2
TSI3 wins for me.
I did not get along with this ping driver!
No brainer for me
Titleist prices out 90% gofers out there...
