As retired educators (we helped a new school open in Lviv - Aug-Dec), we are exploring Poland (Dec-Jan), Estonia (Feb), and possibly France. Paris is beautiful and walkable. Nice too looks beautiful and welcoming. We seek a walkable, affordable, and comfortable place to call home. My wife Cindy has MS, so calm is a required component. I grew up in Los Angeles, working & driving 24/7, so the European pace is very attractive. Thank you. Dean & Cindy
Thank you for your kind words! Paris is a vibrant international city although its size is quite small in comparaison to other world cities. It has a lot to offer both for expats (although speaking French makes it easier, you can get away with English only at first) and seniors (so many things to do or see in and around Paris, a lot of good hospitals...). It can also be a great base to explore France (the train network is very good) or Europe. You can also find very different atmospheres in Paris depending on where you are staying, some of them very calm (you can check my videos about La Butte-aux-Cailles or Le Petit Montrouge, for example). The downside is that it is much more expensive to live in Paris than in the other countries you are looking at.
