Nick is the narrator. Some consider Gatsby the protagonist because so much of the novel focuses on his dream to win Daisy. I consider Nick the protagonist because the novel is about his disillusionment and retreat to his hometown.
I think it's funny how Nick opens the book by asserting that he is non-judgmemtal and then proceeds to judge everyone who crosses his path.
