I remember watching this episode on my lunch break at work when it aired. It was kind of random, but really clever. They really went all out for that Apocalypto parody with them as turkeys! I’d kinda like to see them do an anthology Christmas episode, not necessarily Christmas horror, but just one shot parodies of classic holiday stories, it could be called Treehouse of Holidays.
It's so trendy to trash the Simpsons these days. Especially by people who haven't seen an episode in years. This deserves to be considered one of the best of the series. But don't try to tell people that, they are too busy tweeting about tiger king, squid game, or some other flash in the pan show no one will remember in 5 years
