This trick is also worked for number 12, 15, and 18. For those numbers, we multiply the numbers by 11, 111, 1111, and 11111.
12^2=144
(12x11)^2=1(7)4(2)4
(12x111)^2=1(77)4(22)4
(12x1111)^2=1(777)4(222)4
(12x11111)^2=1(7777)4(2222)4
15^2=225
(15x11)^2=2(7)2(2)5
