Scrotus was banished from the citadel by Joe and became the villain in the mad max video game, I was excited when I saw him, having played the game myself
9 years later we still have no news about the upcoming mad max game after mad max the developers behind just cause and the nes game that nobody plays or grew up with the 80s deserted vehicle movie of the year
Unfortunately in the game, he is just a copy-paste of Rictus. Mainly because the developer took only part of the concept work from Miller while spoiling story parts throughout the game for Furiosa and potential upcoming films without Miller's permission. Dementus is even first mentioned in the video game. The game is also non-canon.
Hearing this review helps my brain make more sense of Cream Crew than anything else. This is great introspective on where you gentlemen stand creatively in certain areas.
I didn't see Chris Hemsworth's character as a threat but just like Furisosa needing the window to kill him, not being able to raid gastown without repercussions

@@DiegoMartinez-ur7gi Honestly Road Warrior was the only great Mad Max movie he made, the first one has a good story but the action is pretty crap (It's his first feature film & it shows), Fury Road has Great Action but the story is really bad & Beyond Thunderdome had a bad story & action (making the movie PG really hurt this movie). Despite their flaws I still like all 4 movies but it's not really surprising that the new spin off is a flop, especially since it's been 9 years since the last one which itself was made 30 years after Thunderdome.

I totally get why some people wouldn't rank it high, all the movies are so radically different
I didn't think there was a love interest dynamic between Jack and Furiosa at all? It felt more like he was mentoring her and they grew close because they were the only sane people they knew, surrounding by maniacs.
They mentioned Scabrous Scrotus not being in Fury road. He was the main antagonist in the Mad Max videogame who you (spoilers) put a chainsaw through his forehead and later kill at the end of that game. He's a total badass though
I mean, if the sister's named Valkyrie; They were maybe naming furiosa after the Furies. Often depicted with one wing in Greek mythology, and so she had one arm by the end.
also, how do they catch every single person that runs away no matter how big of a head start they have, just seemed beyond easy it was to catch each other.....
I agree with orange hat guy's summary; it was a vast improvement over Fury Road in terms of characterization and storytelling, and while I found the semi-woke aspect of trying to shoehorn a female into what is essentially a male role (let's face it Furiosa is a male in temperament, ability and emotion: her mechanical aptitude is male, her stoic control of her emotions is male, and her driving need for vengeance is male) the story arc is still interesting and worth watching.
Saw Furiosa today.... Pretty much agree with you guys on all points. I enjoyed it because i love mad Max and that world but ya... How did she escape both times? Joe didn't notice that his little prize escaped? She escapes from the middle of a ring while chained to the back of the boss's rig? She makes a robot arm in like....30 seconds. She suddenly knows how to fight like a savage. Hemsworth is the best part. None of the fights really... idk got me excited? But i did enjoy the movie so...idk lol mixed bag
I feel like I'm alone in hating Hemsworth in this. Dementus felt so out of place compared to the rest of the cast/setting because of how slapstick/unserious of a character he is. In contrast, I feel like Dementus would have fit in completely as a villain in a MCU film. His delivery of his lines leaned more toward comedic than intimidating, how did that clown ever become the leader of anyone let alone a whole horde of bandits?
