Cool stuff! You should try setting up a plastic distillation setup to produce fuel from plastic and see if it'll run on that. It's pretty easy to make. You can find lots of really simple makeshift designs online

Pretty sure paraffin and kerosene are the same thing like petrol and gasoline

In British English, yes. American paraffin is a white waxy solid derived from the residuum that collects at the bottom of the fractionating column.
