What a band! This could only be done by a group who spent a long time playing together, they really know how to play tight as a unit.... They are tuned into an alternative reality.
The Groovy Side Of the Tube: The truly mind-bending thing about the talent of this band is how they were making this music half a century ago with analog equipment, and yet it still sounds futuristic!!
I love the Lost Tapes and am thrilled they released it. But I wish Irmin hadn't been the one to compile it, some of his choices make no sense to me. Why release this version of Spoon when there's already two officially released live versions (from Can Box/ Free Concert and the Tago Mago Deluxe CD) which beat it for incendiary power and wild inspiration? It's not even the best material available from this same gig--Vitamin C that night was so much more focused and entrancing. Seems like a wasted opportunity.
I don't know. I quite like this one to be honest. Perhaps he released this one *precisely because* it wasn't a previously released version? It's certainly a better quality recording than the Tago Mago deluxe one.
14.10 blows me away.
What a trip! Words cannot express how this music effects me. I'm so grateful that there are live recordings.
Fucking genius nothing else compares. Life is GREAT

Excellent! The best dance music in my opinion. I can just see Damo dancing.
