I’m often amazed by the definitions of the names of the evil doers in Scripture. The names of those in Scripture are often chosen at birth based on the mother’s experience during pregnancy or those around her at the birth. This is why the choosing of a baby’s name is a projection of the character of the child growing up. I find picking a name is always something that needs to be marinated in prayer.

Her middle name in Fijian can be loosely translated as either bitter woman or poisonous woman. When I found out what her name meant, my first thought was ACCURATE description of her personality. And my second thought was my grandparents passed when I was young but I'd definitely would have loved to have known, Why?? Why would you give your child such a horrible name?

Jehoida the priest, protected Joash, got him his rightful place in the king's throne and reigned Righteously untill the priest died and then he changed.. He then conspired against the Zachariah, the priest son and they stoned him to death.. Joash forgot all the kindness Zachariah's dad, the priest, wrought towards him and he slew the son.. Such a sad story... The righteousness of the righteous shall not save him in the day he turns to INIQUITY..

Many people do not realize that the things talked about in the Old Testament are just a tiny bit of information about ancient cultures, which prospered by violence and oppression. I have a book which gives a synopsis of all well- documented old world major cultures and battles. It's absolutely exhausting reading because of the constant war and harsh customs that are mentioned, page after page.

Many believe the line given was actually Mary's lineage, thus David's seed was found in Jesus in accordance to God's promise to David..

This may be a dumb question but i want feedback from parents. Do you struggle with your children/teenagers doing opposite of what you teach and try to live? I consider myself pretty modesty woman but my daughters lean my towards modern women/love of the world. They do not see sex as sacred more so causal. Thank God they are still lets say pure. But has they get older we dont agree on how precious it is. How did you handle this if it happened to you? Any suggestions?
You are doing exactly what needs to be done. You are teaching them properly, being a good example for them. Just keep praying and staying faithful. The world has a very strong hold on our children. We must fight for them in prayer. Even when it looks like the world is winning, we need to remember who is Sovereign over all.♡
I kept talking to my kids. When they had questions, I answered truthfully. In fact, I answered and explained until their eyes glazed over. They knew EXACTLY how I felt about it. Having said that, I also made sure they knew that if there was a child born out of wedlock, I would welcome that child and we would sort it out with no shame on anyone. I also STRESSED the importance of birth control. Yes, I told them that my preferences were that they wait until marriage, but I also made sure that they understood where babies came from and how to prevent that. There comes a time in every parents life when you just have to let go and let God. You need to trust that your kids will do their best. And if they don’t follow your example or what you want for them, you need to trust that YOU did your best. In the end, if someone comes home with an unexpected baby, don’t lose your cool. It’s just a baby, it’s NOT the end of the world.
Do you have other female members maybe have a evening together and just talk or maybe do a pretend thing they are pregnant they have to go look for a house, they have to cost it all. Pay bills and stuff sometimes a dose of reality can hit home.

Yes, same here. Also learning/relearning the stories of the bible this way; makes me go back to the bible with the verses giving and reread it.

This may be a dumb question but i want feedback from parents. Do you struggle with your children/teenagers doing opposite of what you teach and try to live? I consider myself pretty modesty woman but my daughters lean my towards modern women/love of the world. They do not see sex as sacred more so causal. Thank God they are still lets say pure. But has they get older we dont agree on how precious it is. How did you handle this if it happened to you? Any suggestions?
You are doing exactly what needs to be done. You are teaching them properly, being a good example for them. Just keep praying and staying faithful. The world has a very strong hold on our children. We must fight for them in prayer. Even when it looks like the world is winning, we need to remember who is Sovereign over all.♡

I kept talking to my kids. When they had questions, I answered truthfully. In fact, I answered and explained until their eyes glazed over. They knew EXACTLY how I felt about it.
Having said that, I also made sure they knew that if there was a child born out of wedlock, I would welcome that child and we would sort it out with no shame on anyone. I also STRESSED the importance of birth control. Yes, I told them that my preferences were that they wait until marriage, but I also made sure that they understood where babies came from and how to prevent that. There comes a time in every parents life when you just have to let go and let God. You need to trust that your kids will do their best. And if they don’t follow your example or what you want for them, you need to trust that YOU did your best. In the end, if someone comes home with an unexpected baby, don’t lose your cool. It’s just a baby, it’s NOT the end of the world.
Do you have other female members maybe have a evening together and just talk or maybe do a pretend thing they are pregnant they have to go look for a house, they have to cost it all. Pay bills and stuff sometimes a dose of reality can hit home.
