Fun fact that might ruin this song for you-
This song was based on a tall tail that may or may not exist, there was a town with all of these children who were too energetic so the parents didn't know what to do, one day a man came into the town and said he could help with a price, he asked for 10,000 pieces of gold and the town did not have that much money and they had thought he was a scammer so they insisted on him trying, he brought out a flute and played a song that was similar to this one, all of the children calmed down and started to fall asleep, the parents of the town were shocked and the man asked for his money, the town refused because they didn't have that much money, so later at night the man came back and played this song, turns out the flute was to control all of the kids, so all the kids of the town woke up and started to follow him deep in the woods to a big lake, he commanded them to go in the lake, so they did...
Either two things happened, but none knows which happened
1. They had all drowned in the lake
2. In the lake was a portal to another world where all the children can play in peace and they never grow up (*peter pan vibes*)

Its either me or this song is perfect for a villain or eldritch creature that lures in children, like a witch or a ghost by singing this very song for a spell/enchantment of sorts. The tune makes it even creepier and suspicious. Perfect for a song about any antagonist of any story involving missing children.

For some reason i can only think of this scenario:
A young teenager realizes that the world has never done anything for her, and that the adults will never deserve her trust, and she could only survive by taking matters into her own hands. She lures the broken and abandoned children towards her darker view of life and teaches them to grow in that kind of environment. She harms anyone who dares try to convince her to change.

She sang out, her voice was alluring, the notes in her tone beautiful to the ears. She leapt off the chimney and slid down the roof, jumping off the ledge and making a ballet like leap to the next roof. She twirled and opened her arms to the moon as if welcoming it into a hug. "Come little children, the time's come to play," She called out, "In my garden of shadow." Her smile grew wider as she climbed up the roof in just a few strides, going to balance on the top of the slanted roof with a single foot. her voice falling into a low, ominous hum. Her smile disappeared and her eyes glinted with something menacing as she watched the children march down the street, their eyes glazed over and expressions having a dazed look to them. She had them in her grasp now.
