Very helpful video, this procedure is the same for the yaris R in Mexico, a specifically built mazda 2 for Toyota only for Mexico. Are you also going to remove the dashboard? It will be great a video of that. Cheers from Mexico!
Thank you very much sir for the feedback and for sharing the information about that Yaris R in Mexico. Actually, I am quite surprised about that. About the dashboard removal, yes. I will remove that and upload a video about that soon. Once again, Thank you very much sir! 😀
As usual, very good video, thanks a lot. Since you're removing the center console - are you perhaps installing some LED lights or doing other modifications to the car which needs the console removed?
I would like to know if you could make a video guide to remove the instrument cluster? My digital speedo has failed so i need to replace a chip PT6522-Q part. Would you be able to help? Thank you for your content
@@DraftProject that would be so much appreciated as I don't have the understanding and or natural skill to attempt this sort of thing without a guidance. I look forward to your video on this subject. Keep up the great work and thanks once again
Hi sir! That slider is for the climate control. The function of the knob is to switch it from outside cabin air to inside cabin air (Recirculation mode) or vice versa. This is a manually operated climate control for Mazda 2. It is usually found on base models. The other one is the automatic climate control which the recirculation mode is operated through button. It is found on higher trim models.
@@DraftProject Interesting! The reason I remarked on it is because I have the manual heater/AC controls, but those icons above the slider are buttons on my car. When I press one or the other, the flap allowing/blocking outside air is electrically actuated similar to higher models.
Hi sir, for this job, there is no need to remove the battery terminal. It is fine to unplug the electrical sockets. That process is actually optional. But if you want to be sure, then remove the negative terminal only.
This guy is awesome. So generous to publish such a comprehensive video. Thank you for helping the Mazda community

Unfortunately, I couldn't say it yet but, it would be one of my list to upload in the future.

6:00 What's that slider/knob above the CD player? I haven't seen that on other 2s.

@@C.I... Yep! That's interesting because mine has icons on it but they are not buttons. The only functional buttons are A/C and rear defogger.
Outstanding video.
Thank you very much!!
Thanks you so much bro.
You're welcome and thank you very much too for watching my video:)
