Thanks to you and Mrs. WiseFish for this video! Love all things Witcher and yeah, your voice is just like butter. Thank you for reminding me of why it's my 2nd-favourite game!
Question: where are the sorcerers for the witcher schools recruited from?. Also one thing I would say is that I doubt that they kill failed initiates. I can't see Vesimir just beheading a teenager for not passing the final trial, maybe for the Vipers but not the Wolf or Griffin. If you tried to recite a whole book and got a word wrong I doubt they would kill you. They are messed up, but not that messed up. Its far more likely that if you failed a trial and survived you would be made to do it again and again until you either passed or died.
The Witcher creation progress is basically a fantasy/sci-fantasy version of the Spartan program or the super soldier programs present in Marvel and DC comics. It’s kind of odd how the origins of a Witchers augmentations are so well explained despite the fantasy setting. It’s not just here’s a bunch of magical potions. Instead the creation of Witchers involved a detailed understanding of biology, genes, and genetic mutation. As an aside: Oddly the vertical pupils that Witcher’s have would have little benefit. Vertical pupils benefit small animals that are low to the ground. Small bodied cats have them, but larger, equally nocturnal cats don’t. Geralt should actually have worse vision than a regular human when it’s bright out.
I always attributed the Witcher mutations to more the whole Viking drug culture. Preparing for battle, taking drugs like cannabis, henbane, and alcohol. Some of which also have links to druidic/witch practices (essentially all aspects of culture The Witcher universe is based on).
Im 100% confident that i would survive the Bear school. One of my biggest feats is surviving a 6 miles or 9.6 km in -10 F or -23.4 C weather while having asthma. 😂 As a 10 year old. I was by myself and missed the school bus. I was a nerd on pretty much anything except math.😅 Researching Crypto zoology is still a beloved pass time even now. Ive broken many bones and didn't cry. 😢 So yeah, im all set.😅
I'm just thinking. Maybe the reason they don't use the power to kill people in their sleep all that often is because it takes something from them - maybe it draws them towards darkness or takes part of their soul every time they use it or something.
@@WiseFish I feel like it's more or less that they have similar life spans. If they got into a sexual or even romantic relationship with normal people, In the back there mind will always be that said individual will die in 50 years at best. Also there likely to get betrayed by normal individuals who don't understand their power. That's my personal take on it at least
@WiseFish I remember hearing from either witcher 3 or one of the books but that witchers felt different to magic users because of how there presence interacts with magic. Some find it corrupt or corrosive while others found it weirdly soothing. I'm not sure how true it is since it's been a minute since I've brushed up on the books or the games.
School of the Wolf would be my best choice tbh. Dono if I’d be able to talk a troll out of not attacking tho. But I don’t do well with cold, not the best balance, no way I can deal with a griffin but I think I can sneak around a cyclops 😂
Hope you all enjoy the video and there’s plenty more Witcher lore coming soon!
Bro I associate your voice with cyberpunk content so much it's weird not hearing you say "Arasaka", "Militech", and "Choom". XD
Perfect timing just about halfway through a replay of W3. Looking forward to the content.

Is Mrs. Wisefish going to contribute to more Witcher vids? I'd love to hear more about how the book monsters compare to the game monsters.
Finally a tutorial!
Thank you Mr. And Mrs. Wisefish, your content helps me with anxiety at night

One perk they don't tell you about being a Witcher is that you have the ability to get in most witches pants.
Yeah there’s no lore on why 😂

I have no doubt I’m gonna die at the start of the trials.🐱
Bravo ... 👏👏👏
WiseFish, what school do you think you would survive? 🤔

Does this work in real life?
If you wish it anything is possible!
I rather be more curious on how to survive the metro universe🤔
