Amazing how people can tell horsepower from a sound bite. If it is or isn’t, you don’t really know what he’s got. Maybe it’s a circle track motor or a drag motor. Idk, but she sure is sweet to my ears.
434 or 454 small block would make 700 pretty easy, so the haters need to cool the responses since no one knows the combo, just the RPM it was able to turn shows even if it’s small CID, it’s still making good numbers considering 9k rpm cup motors make 900hp.. all the haters are the reason sleepers eat you alive and laugh all the way to the bank, for all you know the mellow idle is from methanol, you don’t have a clue what this combo is, go check out a channel called gallstar, his pro comp drag motor 421 cid makes 825.... sounds just like this so go test your amazing dyno ears,
As I mentioned before I heard this from a couple miles away and just drove up to the garage where this gentleman was working in Largo Florida. All the information I got was that it was a small block Chevy built and the power was around 700 hp. I was skeptical at the get go but filmed it anyway and the majority of the responses I’ve gotten is that it’s 500 at most. There’s no drivetrain lost here of course but still At the time I had a 500 rwho Roush and I didn’t believe 700. What is the most of any of you have gotten from a Chevy small block in rear wheel horsepower?
I've got a 350 bored .040 over with blueprint heads, two eyebrow pistons and a comp cam, somewhere around 10:1 compression making probably around 380 at the flywheel but it's my first full build. My trucks just a cam and exhaust on stock heads and TBI around 220 hp
No idea on power and love the way it sounds idling and midrange in the rpm but, very top end, if engines could dry heave, I imagine itd sound pretty close to that
Well My brother .. I'm not sure if its because of the direction I'm hearing the motor or the Friction pump doesn't engage while the engine is on it's way up like we see the guy's with his finger on the green button while his left hand is taking the throttle lever up the friction pump takes hold of the motor the RPM starts dropping before it begins it's climb up fully locked up against the pump ? who knows sounds good though ..
Too everyone who says bs on this engine making 700hp has never spent any amount of time around 4 barrel super late model cars I've seen 800+ out of 434ci "oh it doesn't look like it makes 700hp" because yall can tell from a video taken 20 feet away on a phone
Hank Dagmar you called it imaginary land that it would have 700hp, dirt track modified class runs a 434ci sbc that pushes 715hp. It’s not imaginary it’s realistic hp.
Francis West Unfortunately I do not know the gentleman that owns the shop or that is in the video but I can tell you his name is Cedric and he is in Largo Florida
DeevoxL Sound doesn't mean hp. But it does SOUND mean as hell. I would like to know how the hell he get 700 hp out a sbc without spraying or Forced induction. I wonder what's the compression ratio on that sucker
To all of you with specific questions about this video or engine I don’t know guys. I was visiting a good friend of mine in Largo Florida and that day we were barbecuing outside and I heard this engine over and over again about a mile and a half away so I tried down to an Open storage facility that they had broken up into separate companies. This gentleman told me 700 hp but unfortunately I didn’t ask him much since I couldn’t freaking hear lolol
Far from it lol .... it's cheap as fuck , probably has some swirlers heads on it, not even a crane comp cam they sound lot heavier than this. If this block pushes 450hp you should be happy. 700 how my ass roflmao... it's clearly not been on a Dyno

Couldn’t of said it better myself, that motors hard as fuck I’ve heard a 100 400-500hp small blocks and they don’t sound like this.
Cedric are you sure that you have 700 HP?
Man you had that thing screaming! Good job man awesome motor!
Prove that it made 700 hp. I dont believe it . Not through the muffs. !

Mine is 505 hp, and yours makes mine sound like a street motor. Lol
“Horsepower by Cedric” The name sounds like it could be a boutique next to the Apple store 🤣🤣
@ :33 he was well over 7k RPM.
I want one of these. DAMN!! Great job bro!!
No idea on power and love the way it sounds idling and midrange in the rpm but, very top end, if engines could dry heave, I imagine itd sound pretty close to that
Without a dyno pull sheet I'm guessing 50 to maybe 550 at flywheel
what kind of dyno is that ?
Sounds like a solid 310hp sbc.
I wish I had dyno ears, how much did those cost you?

Sounds STRONG!!!

Whats the set up on this beastt
350, 383, or 400?
700jp
Iron heads??
Show us the engine, not an exhaust system ...and a list of components
Videos on the seven years old and I have no idea who he is so I’ll get right on that buddy. I just shot the video
Thats about a 450 hp small block max
Bull.
@@donrutter6765 not bull. Iron heads... even if the motor was 700 capable it’s not making it with shitty iron heads. Sounds can be deceiving.
700hp!!!.......yea! Maybe 400!. Even that's generous lol. Good job tho brother.
700? Shit, that's probably pushing at least 1000hp. Maybe 2000! Hell, anything is possible in Imagination Land!
Hank Dagmar sir you have no idea what a modified 430 is then😂. It says small block not the ci.
@@skrilx12345 Your comment makes no sense. When did I mention cubic inch?
Hank Dagmar you called it imaginary land that it would have 700hp, dirt track modified class runs a 434ci sbc that pushes 715hp. It’s not imaginary it’s realistic hp.
@@skrilx12345 You totally missed my point. That engine is not 700hp.
how can i call u

Not today my friend . Nice motor though ....
700hp ????

It ain't....as always these guys overstate their numbers grossly.. and sound does not mean shit seriously.

Anthony Leland . Nascar gets almost 900 outta a naturally aspirated Small block
@mike stradling he said the gentleman told him 700 hp if the guy built the engine and was pulling it on his Dyno then I would take his word.
😂😂😅😅
$17,000 engine
How do you know?
Far from it lol .... it's cheap as fuck , probably has some swirlers heads on it, not even a crane comp cam they sound lot heavier than this.

HorsePower2LIVE no 700 hp here
I don't think so
Sounds mean
