I think great underrated Diluc feature moment is at 14:11, when he didnt Swirl, just switched to Kazuha and back, without f'ing rotations, burst cancels and infusions. It feels great when your infusion stays after changing characters.
At first I thought that was c6 bennet but I just checked it and the infusion actually stayed

Honestly people just need to stop shitting on characters so much in general. You can clear 90% if not more of the game with average artifacts and fairly invested characters. People just obsessed about the upper echelon of what "good" is and make it their entire personality. Whenever Dehya spooks me I'll have a blast with her. The only reason I am not getting her now is because I wanted Shenhe since forever.

I tried to get a copy of Beacon seeing we never know if this ever comes back. So far I got 2x Cyno's polearm (and I already had one _and_ I have no Cyno).. I need at least 30 more pulls for Beacon and I'm out of primos.
HYV finally releases crit rate claymore and makes it virtually unobtainable after the current banner. Claymore characters are truly cursed in genshin 😭

The day people understand the Diluc's burst isn't just the one phoenix move but is actually the buff it gives his normal attacks is the day i'll finally know peace. With Diluc his kit is mostly centered around his normal attacks which is why weird sets like 4 piece HOD and the physical sets still work well on him, obviously 4 crimson is the best and hod is more for fun but it's still a working set. His c4 and c6 are elemental skill buffs not burst, which need you to use normal and elemental skills to max his damage so they're both still normal attack buffs and his ascension talents both are for his normal and charged attack. He's one of the few characters where you level and crown normal attack over anything.
Also he isn't suitable for mono pyro team.
He is good with vape > melt > burgeon > overload

He wasn’t best DPS at release for nothing. My man outclassed every DPS in the game until Hu Tao and Ganyu came around
@@Da_Swifta Honestly, I still remember people who would make new accounts just to get him back in 1.0. It's just that people got so used to seeing big damage from Hu Tao or Ganyu that anyone else with lower damage was automatically bad. Which is sad because Diluc is not bad at all (same goes for some other characters). Weaker than Hu Tao, yes, but bad? Nah
Diluc did my most single damage in this abyss reset, over 250k. I love my boy.
Never understood the Diluc hate but then again I'm biased. He was my first 5* my first few days of playing, and I got the WGS in a single 10 pull immediately after getting him. Diluc/Xingqiu combo carried me until Hu Tao came out, and even then I'd occasionally still use him. He's in my overworld team still since he's so easy to use.
His C6 is actually pretty great. Being able to do that last NA in his combo is actually amazing because it has a pretty big multiplier. I frequently do 100k+ melts on his last NA with my C6 Diluc.
Lets just say he's top 2 pyro standard and he aint number 2

I mean, have you been here the past 2 years? He's never been very good. Even with C6+His new outfit, he's never been anything special compared to characters like Hu Tao and Yoimiya. The surprise in the video is completely justified, cause he hasn't done good damage compared to other characters since practically launch.

Maybe, but considering he has xinqui for interruption resistance, damage reduction and even small heals, maybe not. Mono pyro diluc dehya double DPS might be good. Have anybody check that yet?
I said the moment Dehya's weapon dropped, that it would fit perfectly onto Diluc's playstyle, since one of his passives makes him attack faster if he is damaged, which made one of his best weapons (serpent spine) really hard to fully take advantage of when hit, thus wanting to run him with a strong shielder.
2:14 For some reason, I always remember this weird constellation of Diluc's... which is why I knew Dehya's weapon would be perfect on him lol.
technically there are some translation errors with Diluc's constellations or something. you don't need to take dmg to get his C2 to work; when shielded it still activates (same with Beidou). his C4 means that when you cast one skill, two seconds after (not "within" the two seconds like it says--there's a visual indicator), his next skill gets buffed, and two after that, the final one does too. it helps encourage the use of normal attacks woven in between the skills which is good because you've likely triggered C2 so he's faster and also because once you hit C6, you're weaving in uninterrupted normal attacks and can get in that final hit. looking at the video, it seems that at least the official hoyowiki has the correct verbiage for C4, but not yet in game.
it's funny... ever since the animated short we had where Dehya interrupted Cyno and Haitham fighting with her claymore, i knew immediately that her claymore would be what Diluc needed. granted... i thought it would be because she'd implement burning or burgeon since they want to really build up dendro since it was new, so i thought it would be a crit claymore with a passive that gave EM buffs (basically if they just copied Cyno's weapon passive over), but even though it wasn't that, i'm glad that the weapon is universal enough that he can use it well.
also you're using no shield with Benny against electro aura / electro attacking enemies, so of course you're getting massively staggered. Bennett's burst is applying pyro to the enemies and to Diluc... justice for Diluc's murder

I'm very tempted to try and pull for the Claymore but I don't really want the spear - primos are limited and whaling is not an option so it's a tough choice. As Dheya goes to standard banner I don't know when we'll get this claymore on a banner again, if at all.
The spear is honestly amazing tho, it’s the best spear on Xiangling, the best spear on Cyno, and the 2nd best spear on Hu Tao. A great statstick for any reaction DPS aswell
I can vouch for the spear, I felt the same way at first, then I tried it on Cyno and Raiden and it slaps. Both weapons are incredibly viable to multiple characters.

This shows that the reason why Diluc is “underperforming”, according to some, is not the lack of raw multipliers, but the lack of high tier DPS claymores. Yes, I consider Wolf’s Gravestone as good and not excellent.
The problem with Diluc is that Xiangling (aoe) and Hu Tao (single target) exist. When you casually dish 100k + CA vapes with Hu Tao, in a succession, Diluc seems weak. Same with Xiangling, when in aoe, she is doing 60k + vapes to everyone..

wgs really isn't that great, the damage difference between r5 serpent spine and r1 wgs is pretty significant. I'd want to bed beacon of the reed sea r1 still underperforms compared to r5 serpent spine.

it's a very poor gameplay from a c6 Diluc and I'm pretty sure that WGS with EM sands deal better dmg than Beacon. Having said that, It's always nice to see people playing Diluc on youtube.
Only 6 mins in so not sure if this is corrected later in the vid, but you need to leave at least 2 seconds between E presses otherwise you're getting no benefit from the constellation that increases E damage. So far you've just been mashing E and not getting any buff.
Pain lol I only have c2 Diluc R0 WGS triple crowned 4pc CW and I'm sure many other Diluc mains would agree its not just the new weapon lol but I appreciate him getting some attention again.
Definitely isn't the new weapon, Diluc has always been a great pyro dps. Sure he's not Hu Tao but Hu Tao's constellations are mid from c2 to c5. Diluc gets better with c1, c2, c4 and c6. People just don't recognise that because frankly, the number of people who like playing with claymores and husbandos is very slim. If they had for instance made him a sword user, more people would be using him.
Best use Burgeon Diluc with Beacon + Nahida to proc both his C2 and the weapon's passive to fully capitalize on the damage buff. Diluc will do massive vape + burgeon if you build him with EM/Pyro/Crit or just EM/EM/Crit

I just wanted to say Albedo jumped to one of my fav chars after redoing his artifacts. His stats are 67 crit rates with only 110 dmg but his dmg is legit when it comes to his "e" around 24k per tick. Also one of his passives (if ppl forgot) gives his team 150em. Add him to a dendro reacting team I'm just wanting to show Albedo some love.
Albedo is really balanced. I remember back in the days, with my first "meta" team (whatever people say, this team made me 36* abyss, and that wouldn't change afterwards). The good old days with Hu Tao, Zhongli, Albedo (with THE harbinger, thanks to Zhongli), and of course, one of the best (the best?) characters in the game, Xingqiu.
@@sacha2294 that team was definitely meta. Still is probably a better option than vv vape (like, fuck vv vape against consecrated beasts for example) but its also good more options came along. Also its weird, albedo is pretty decent but is like one of the worst pulls in the game. He’s just in a really weird spot because geo is just geo. I think the only case where you reaaaaally do want to get albedo is with itto mono geo which is good obviously but otherwise hes just a good flex
@@anegg1464 I won't lie, last time I used Albedo was more than a year ago. I don't play a geo team, even though I build C6 Noelle, but not worth it tbh.

@@sacha2294 my team I use in the world is now Ayato, Nahida, Kuki and Albedo. Teams pretty fun. Wanderer, Faruzan, Albedo and Zhongli is another team I use since I've redone my Albedo. Again I'm having fun with him.

for a mono pyro team you could replace Xiang Ling with dehya to give the entire team full stagger resist. i know Xiang Ling is part of the dps, but if the point is to show off Diluc then it wouldve done more for the idea.

I did but only because I don't have WGS, Redhorn Stonethresher is only for my Noelle, I refuse to use Rainslasher, and I was getting really tired of Serpent Spine stacks so I took a chance and used 30 pulls for the Bacon. Is the drip as good as WGS or SS? Not really, but it's actually not as bad as I initially thought so all things considered, it was worth it.

@@ReyaadGafur he needs just as much investment as Dehya. Only good thing about him is his consistent dmg, otherwise Dehya and Diluc are on par with each other. Hell my c0 Dehya with worse artifacts clears faster than Diluc with the 2 best hydro supports and he's c3 with cracked stats.

I am so confused by the point of this.
If we don't count the few rare melt reactions for diluc for a better comparison.
Your Dehya: lvl 90, c0, r1, talent 166, +100%hpscaling +100%attackscaling, 16em, with Mona buff, doing 11 hits total during burst
Your Diluc: lvl 80, c6, r5, talent 799, +100%attackscaling, 205em, 30 higher crit value, consistent vaporize, with Yelan buff, about 13 hits (4 from burst and then NA+skill)
Comparing rotations during some of the eremite phases.
And what is the difference in damage between the 2??? Diluc deals roughly 120% of Dehya. 20% increase.... a difference of about 60k-70k, that's about 2 attacks for either of them, and diluc has a 2 attacks longer rotation... From what I can find, most dps characters gain 10-20% damage increase per constellation. So if you think Diluc is fine here and Dehya was terrible in the other vid i think it's some kind of placebo or something.
Doesn't this mean Dehya is decent at least?? Considering she also has off-field pyro application, tanking and interruption resist.
I think she definitely needs some changes to make her synergize with her own- and others kits, but it really looks like there's some honestly unexplainable hate or placebo making people think she's a lot worse than she actually is.
Looks like a lot of decent damage that just doesn't add up enough. Those clear times were painfully slow.
