We watched Julia as kids as my mother followed the career of Diahann Carroll. Looking back, Hal Kanter's show was weak as he failed to utilize Carroll's talent effectively. This particular episode opens not with Ms. Carroll but with "Corey" - sleepy writing here. Then the scene switches to the office with this silly "conversation" Lloyd Nolan's character is having on the phone -- goes on too long. Then we finally get to who the real star is --- Ms. Carroll herself!! Then, of course, we know the story of how Fred Williamson became a cast member of the show. Kanter lacked vision for sure!! Nonetheless, the show was groundbreaking at the time.
Wonderful thank you.
Thank you so much for posting these! I am using them for research for my master's thesis in history!
Thanks love this show!

Diahann Carroll and Fred Williamson made a great looking couple.
