Den was way too smart for Phil. Den was fearless. Brought down Phil and then near the end of his time on the Square helped bring down Andy Hunter as well. Prior to his death Den was well and truly the king of Walford.
How did Den bring down Andy Hunter? Andy Hunter was taken down coz his sidekick grassed on him to Johnny Allen for trying to steal 750K from him. Where does Den fit into that?
@@gh0510 Den had shown Andy and Johnny he was scared of neither of them. Especially Andy. Going as far as throwing him out the pub two episodes before they both were murdered. Johnny respected Den as well. Den basically showed the whole square that night Andy wasn't to be feared anymore with Johnny"s assistance.
@@chrisrowe7503 Den's the landlord of the vic. Its his job and responsibility to maintain the good atmosphere in his pub otherwise customers will be put off from drinking there. Den would've done that to anyone. Even to Grant Mitchell and Jack Dalton. Its business, they're getting rowdy so they need to leave.
@@chrisrowe7503 that's got nothing to do with Den though. And I think he only left coz Johnny was taking over Walford. And he done enough damage to Kalfie. And Kat was no longer around.

Yeah he never once gave the impression whatever Phil did to him and his family he was ever bothered slapping Sharon getting Dennis beat up planting drugs in the club, very clever indeed and Phil the mug fell for it 😂
Phil of 1999 was bad ass to, the most bad ass moment in eastenders history was when phil took out big time villain hardmen Kim Brooks. In one punch then threw one of his henchmen into side of car followed by ramming butt of his shotgun into his stomach while grant took care of the third bloke

Phil Mitchell Fan
Yep I totally agree
I’ve always been a big Phil Mitchell fan I still am 2000 to 2003 was Phil at is very best. But den was far too smart for Phil
Phil was wimp. He knew Dennis would take him easy
@SamCoyne-mv6su Phil power and strength, so why did he need 3 heavies to beat up Dennis? Because he knew Dennis would destroy him
@SamCoyne-mv6su dickhead, Dennis didn’t need Sharon, She was trying to defuse confrontation between them

When this storyline happened Leslie Grantham was dying anyway so even if he wasn't killed off he wouldn't have been able to be in EastEnders.
