NAVA is not widely used yet(I imagine catheter migration will be an issue), but understanding the concept was hugely helpful. Thank you!

Sir, what do you usually set on NAVA? Thank you 😊

I don't actually work with NAVA, so if you're asking what I personally set, unfortunately, I don't. In general though, from my understanding, you'll set peep, FiO2 and a NAVA level. This NAVA level is the factor by which the electrical signal from the diaphragm is multiplied by to determine the amount of inspiratory assist coming from the vent. Normally set between .5-2.0. Then of course, backup settings are set to ensure mandatory ventilation, in the case of apnea or malpositioned diaphragm probe. Does this answer your question? Thanks for watching and commenting with your question.

Can you talk about Neonatal/ Peds??

Not naturally! I have very little neo/pedi experience, thus do not pose as an expert in those areas. Sorry!
