just crack it. its technically legal to download the original GTA:SA because its no longer supported nor capable to buy, as Rockstar delisted everything.
Being able to fly/boat indefinitely in the original GTA:SA made the map truly feel bigger than what it was. Even though I'm aware that once you got past the boundary it basically initiated a treadmilling effect. You could even see it while boating past the boundary, as you'd start to hit the same wave over and over again, and if you slowed down you'd still hit the same wave over and over again, but slower. It's a shame they can't replicate this effect in the defective edition, but it's a cash grab game, they don't care.
I still just can't believe they gave such a IMPORTANT project like a "remade" to the og games that we all loved to 2k who literally do mobile games 💀💀💀💀
On the point of map boundaries. In Original release if you flew straight outside bounds for 20+ minutes it would cause a glitch that would allow gang wars in other parts of the game world. I think there were other steps but I know being out of bounds was one
The physics issue could easily have been fixed in a single sprint by a single dev, just adjusting a few parameters of the object and it's collision model, and running a few tests. Removing it instead probably took half that time. The fact that they're removing the feature instead show you how little the management of Grove Street Games cares about actually fixing it. All they're after is revenue optimization. And people still buy that crap.
honestly removing things happens a lot. the original mass effect was a great rpg with somewhat clutterable inventory and weapons you couldnt hit anything with unless you specialized in them. what they did in me2? removed both the inventory and each class only were able to use the guns they had profiency to. by now bioware has removed everything to the point their games look like prettier versions of steam greenlight games. so why wouldnt rockstar, ubisoft and others follow suit

The maps on the original release version probably look like it should and not so small? I am thinking back on ps2 it felt bigger than what this showed I guess I could be wrong
@@DallasBaldys the PS2 version uses a pretty aggressive fog effect + reduced draw distance so the maps feel bigger since you can only see like, ¼ mile ahead of you at all times. I prefer that over the D.E. games treating the map like a flat square with unlimited draw distance
@@anthony7564 On a side note: The PS2 does that because of its limited processing power. If it was forced to show the entire map at all times, the game would lag on console, and load times would be rather long. One of the cases where a hardware limitation results in genius. Map feels bigger, and game runs butter smooth~
@ridermanyt8029 I agree. And I think that's the thing with most major game developers today. Back in about the mid 80's to late 2010's (2017-2018) in my opinion was when companies released more better games, and they cared about all things when designing a game. Now, there are more lazier titles released in this day and age compared to the past and will release any trashy thing just for money, and lie to their consumers. Now games look more 'video game' now than ever and make us lose that realism we felt from playing older titles from their launch time. It's really shocking how older titles can be better than new ones because they should be better than older releases because of the new technology, but you know what they say: "You Can't Beat The Classics".
Highlights in the defective "improved" edition: 1. Poles and bottles when they broke, disappear as if a sinkhole exists. 2. Shirtless NPCs looked like as if they are being sunburned or sunbleached
ENXGMA, I wanted to take this time to thank you for your amazing GTA videos over the years. The sound effects and little things you add in the videos make them that much better. Keep up the good work dude.
Actually, that fan made distant fog mod, that was created earlier than developers introduced fog in the patch update, looks far superior and looks like normal aerial perspective should (it even looks like GTA V distant fog). "Official" fog implementation, AFAIR, doesn't even show when you on the ground, it only shows when you're up high (in a plane or on top of a building).
This just straight up broke my heart. Thanks to the co-founders for all the fun I had playing the originals. These masterpieces probably ended with RDR2.
To be fair rockstar didn't make this. Their fault is hiring a studio like Grove Street games who have no experience in making PC games, it was a huge mistake giving such an important project to an unknown studio.
Defnitive for other companies be like: We have to remaster the graphics, details and add some features Defnitive for rockstar be like: We have to remaster graphics, remove some details and add some details, remove some features and add some features, and at last add whole lot's of new bug 😃
When you think about how detailed. how well done and how impressing GTA SA is, specially considering 2004's technical possibilities you can only imagine how much time the game testers and developers had to spend on checking every little detail of the gameplay, you can imagine how many times things had to be fixed before the original release. Now things are different. It looks like they hired their 8 years old kids to test the game developed by a bunch of... defective teenagers
I didn't expect much when this "Definitive" was released for the smartphone version(I believe it was going to be released at the end of march this year). Same graphics, same bug same glitches same amounts of price
I think the map boundaries was meant to fix something, you know how you get more gang territories if you fly out of the map? The devs probably wanted to avoid that. An example is after st marks bistro, you get vagus territory over that boating school area
A better solution to the map boundaries would've been to have some sort of a transition when turning back around, maybe an animation of the plane turning back around or a quick fade to black. Personally, I don't think a sense of scale really exists when you're just flying through an endless void with nothing to discover so I could see why they would want to change that
I don't know for how long the original SA was in development, but it was released in a few years afer Vice City. Now just imagine how they managed to create such an amazing game like SA in a short time span with few bugs and lower budget than nowadays. It is difficult to comprehend.
it was done by a smaller game studio, that did android and Xbox 360 port, so it's not the same case, as it would have been if it was done by Rockstar North
This was my childhood game, I have so many memories with it and I’m furious with both rockstar (for not giving a shit) and the game developer, which the only job was to recreate the game with modern technologies and couldn’t even do that. Edit: typo. Sadly my thoughts are still the same.

Yep, now you can actually fly a boat indefinitely.
Lol bro more inportant things than trying to drive out of map on water for 5 hours dude
@@AbuHajarAlBugatti Well... obviously, the game is a train wreck. But it's even little things like that which shows how much they don't care.

I still just can't believe they gave such a IMPORTANT project like a "remade" to the og games that we all loved to 2k who literally do mobile games 💀💀💀💀
I hope there’s a part 2 of this video 🙏 also great video content 👍
The thing that pisses me off even more that take two issued copyright claim on mods and threatened modders with lawsuits just to give us this.
On the point of map boundaries. In Original release if you flew straight outside bounds for 20+ minutes it would cause a glitch that would allow gang wars in other parts of the game world. I think there were other steps but I know being out of bounds was one
Actually its not a glitch, its true shit
0:40 my humor is so broken i laugh at the pipe sound falling lmao 😭😭😭💀💀💀
2:25 и вот здесь я подумал, что это очередной GTA клон из Google play

I was so hyped for the Definitive Edition in the leadup to its release in 2021, which of course faded when it WAS released. This video makes me more glad than ever that I didn't get it.
why were you hyped for some ugly cartoonish version of old gta games
7:50 This is sad but true. People bitch and whine about how bad games are these days then buy them anyway.
8:29 i think they meant to make it like they were on the beach with tank top and from the sun the hands are with tan but under the tank top the skin is untouched by the sun

Been messing with a PS2 emulator lately and it's been so nice to revisit all the 3D era GTA games in their original release versions (every single music track!) and the upscaling looks pretty solid. I'm never buying the Definitive Editions.
You can now use retroachivements to well earn achievements in the ps2 game.
Even after over a year later, this still seems like a straight middle finger from Rockstar

It's crazy how developers get more lazy the better technology gets
They want money. That's all.
Back then, they care about the game
6:15 man this brings back my super old memories immediately

@@EdwinTyler but they still gave them the project so both companies are at fault here.

The most frustrating thing in the def edition is a bug that causes your custom car disapear when you enter in a mission.
Defnitive for other companies be like:
We have to remaster the graphics, details and add some features
Defnitive for rockstar be like:
We have to remaster graphics, remove some details and add some details, remove some features and add some features, and at last add whole lot's of new bug 😃
Cool comparison, I want part 2 and a another for GTA III and Vice City.

The shirtless man was more tanned on the arms

THAT BACKGROUND THEME HIT'S HARD THAN RONALDO'S KICK
@Dark Evil ً
I think the map boundaries was meant to fix something, you know how you get more gang territories if you fly out of the map? The devs probably wanted to avoid that. An example is after st marks bistro, you get vagus territory over that boating school area
5:22 Perfect timing for that reaction
My main gripe is the vehicle's brake lights, they light up only when I brake, they don't turn on at night, only the headlights do
I love the definitive edition , it got me back to studying
A better solution to the map boundaries would've been to have some sort of a transition when turning back around, maybe an animation of the plane turning back around or a quick fade to black. Personally, I don't think a sense of scale really exists when you're just flying through an endless void with nothing to discover so I could see why they would want to change that
Enxgma the testing goat 🔥
I don't know for how long the original SA was in development, but it was released in a few years afer Vice City. Now just imagine how they managed to create such an amazing game like SA in a short time span with few bugs and lower budget than nowadays. It is difficult to comprehend.
it was done by a smaller game studio, that did android and Xbox 360 port, so it's not the same case, as it would have been if it was done by Rockstar North
They didn't create anything. They grabbed their mobile ports of GTA games which they had already done, and called it a day.
T2I: Those performance issues aren't real problems. They're features.

This was my childhood game, I have so many memories with it and I’m furious with both rockstar (for not giving a shit) and the game developer, which the only job was to recreate the game with modern technologies and couldn’t even do that.
