I always finish off my last 5 rounds before i go into retention, of every Wim Hof breathing session with cyclical sighing, and i usually do 4x40(+) rounds every morning to keep myself sane...
My endurance to everyday stress has definitely gone up quite noticeably, for me at least.

Hey Kitaro, you so much for all your guidance on the various breathing techniques. This is a great addition. I’m using a combination in my daily practices, Wim Hoff, box breathing and cyclic breathing; all have a slightly different focus and benefit. Thanks for your enriching videos. Adam 🙏
Ps Huberman Lab is fab - there is a great one on fasting techniques.

You’re a saint. I learn about all these great techniques and am venturing into a spiritual journey.
However 90% of the time, I’m not practicing what I’m preaching.
It’s so hard to break behavioural patterns. Do you have any advice on how to consistently bring yourself to apply these methods ?

Not sure if he'd like being called a "saint" considering, where he learned probably most of his meditative breathing techniques and what those circles were like to their members or tather in their eyes followers or students.

So is the cyclic sighing outperforming the wim hof method of hyperventilation breathing?

Hi Kitaro, what are your thoughts on the advance Wim Hof breathing class where at the end, instead of exhaling one inhales and pushed all air in the head. Is that good? Or would you stick to the basics? My WH instructor told me that was breathing exercise on steroids. Do you agree?

Excellent! Why learn to breathe properly? The average person breathes 16X a minute. If a person lives to 80, then that means on average they will take 672,768,000 breaths in a lifetime!

Hi there is just a lack of studies on the practice of intentionally forcing a physiological sigh. The sole reason it got popular is because of Andrew hubberman going on podcasts, otherwise the technique would have had to grow in popularity organically which would definitely have resulting it not seeing the light of day until more research was done. Box breathing has been done for centuries, the technique has been researched extensively meanwhile this technique is less than a year old. I see potential problems like abusing and forcing a response in the body that is designed to only happen when you cry. As well as fast inhales followed by slow exhales and Vice versa doesn’t actually make the diaphragm be in an upper position for more period of time than in a lower position and Vice versa if you actually think about how it moves in a 3D animation. Furthermore, it doesn’t work for me, it probably works when you cry due to the psychological effects of the crying as well as you breathing fast and intensely prior to crying. Furthermore a respectable professor wouldn’t go on podcasts to promote his technique, he would gain popularity the proper way, no shortcuts. Also he sleeps with multiple women apparently. Honestly there are too many holes in him and his research overall and it’s not trusting him.
