It's much more complicated than that, the instance we listen to in Igor implies that this has happened before, they have history, plus it's not that the boy loves the girl, he just wants to hide being gay because he's afraid of be ostracized and judged when he's with Igor ("take your mask off, I know the real you")
Super underrated when it got to like in the 1st intro and the middle of the actual song everything was zooming out and I felt like i was going to a different dimension
