    Yes, indeed, thank you UA-cam for bringing us such an immense musical joy to our fingertips. Many years ago, I could afford to pay my tickets to concert halls but never dared to tear infront of the audience. Today, at 73, still managing life but with no access to concert halls, I gratefully devour UA-cam's gifts at home and, most of all, I cry freely.❤

    To be fair, the "Adagio in G minor" was actually composed in 1945 by the Italian-born musicologist Remo Giazotto. Giazotto, who at that time was working collecting information on the work and life of Tomaso Albinoni, said he had found among the ruins of the Dresden State Library (destroyed after the fierce bombardment during World War II) a supposed manuscript fragment in which so only the bass staff and six bars of the melody appeared, attributing it to the famous Italian author.
    From there (according to the musicologist himself) he worked on arranging and finishing the composition, resulting in said work, which was published for the first time in 1958.
    Musical experts from all over the planet agree that the famous Adagio in G minor is an entirely original composition and composed entirely by Remo Giazotto, who died on August 26, 1998, remaining as its discoverer and without receiving nor enjoy due recognition in life as the author of such a great composition.

    • @MusicArtstrings
      @MusicArtstrings  Рік тому +3

      Either way, big doubts: Why did not Remo Giazotto give his name to such a brilliant composition? Why? Maybe because he was just a coward ? The Adagio is always associated with the name Albinoni! „It will forever remain for the whole world the "Albinoni Adagio". That's life. Many musicians think Giazotto was a coward, he did not have the courage to write a tonally beautiful classic baroque hit under his name. He himself, he alone is to blame! And surely he himself thought Albinoni sounds more interesting and more beautiful than Giazotto? (right, too) He found his own name too uninteresting.
      Can you imagine the Beatles have released one of their ingenious songs under the name Schubert ? - Can anyone imagine that Paul McCartney would have named Hey Jude or Yesterday as composer Elvis Presley? (or Franz Schubert) So stupid can not be a genius composer. Remo G. is himself to blame...whoever comes too late punishes life. C'est la vie! „And why do not we know another great work by Giazotto?“ (there is nothing, no beautiful or brilliant music !, absolutely nothing) Did he really compose it? (or a friend ?, or one of his students?) big doubts.
      And our version is an absolutely new arrangement without organ.

    This always takes me back to September 11th, 2001, standing on the Jersey side of the port and watching the second plane crashing into the World Trade Center and holding my mother as she wept, we all wept. I’ll never forget hearing the 911 calls of the men and women trapped in the buildings above the impact zone hearing in their voices that they knew they would never hug their loved ones again 😢

      Thanks for your kind words Nick, the fact that the good people of Britain supported us and sent us food parcels addressed to "a soldier, front line" helped restore the faith humanity that I had lost during the war fighting. The beauty of the billions of stars out there at night and the collection of classical music I took along always allowed me to escape the madness I found myself in. God bless you Nick and thanks again.

Music is a gift of God to all of the human race. We are created in His image. Therefore the beauty of God can be reflected in the music of a man or woman.

    So sweet, so poignant, so tender, like saying goodbye to your beloved under tragic circumstances, for there is a deep and heavy finality to this music, but it is also a peaceful and soothing piece and I think that's because Albinoni himself wanted to soothe the soul of whoever listened to it - because he knew about pain and he knew about loss; but he also understood the healing power of music. I also feel that at the end of this peace there is a sense of resolution, a sense that everything is happening as it should, and you will see your beloved again.

    I never heard a piece of music as beautifull as that. Spirit flies very highly and deeply at the same time. I listen this music every day and each time remember me how life around me is beautifull.
    I think to my grandma too and thanks her for her stay in my heart.

    This piece evokes both sadness and joy simultaneously. This is the first song I came accross that marries these two emotions so beautifully.

    The real beauty is that there are young and old mixed in this small orchestra. They performed this with an acute perception. So well done. So well done.

    Adagio di Albinono è per me la più bella musica classica che abbia suonato. Si ha l'impressione di stare vicino al Signore.

    One of my greatest regrets in life is giving up playing cello. There really is no feeling in the world like that which one experiences, after many practices and rehearsals, when the music comes together perfectly. It’s magic.

      such non sense about WWII....Tomaso Albinoni 1671/1751 while Remo Giazotto is 1910/1998. Are you of the idea that this music has composed by Giazotto after WWII? what a imagination..!!

    • @selarmajak7887
      @selarmajak7887 7 років тому +10

      Claudio Statuti quoting Wikipedias from Giazotto's Page ""According to Giazotto, he obtained the document shortly after the end of World War II from the Saxon State Library in Dresden which had preserved most of its collection, though its buildings were destroyed in the bombing raids of February and March 1945 by the British and American Air Forces. Giazotto concluded that the manuscript fragment was a portion of a church sonata (sonata da chiesa, one of two standard forms of the trio sonata) in G minor composed by Albinoni, possibly as part of his Op. 4 set, around 1708."" sooo nope. not really my imagination
