    Yes, indeed, thank you UA-cam for bringing us such an immense musical joy to our fingertips. Many years ago, I could afford to pay my tickets to concert halls but never dared to tear infront of the audience. Today, at 73, still managing life but with no access to concert halls, I gratefully devour UA-cam's gifts at home and, most of all, I cry freely.❤

    To be fair, the "Adagio in G minor" was actually composed in 1945 by the Italian-born musicologist Remo Giazotto. Giazotto, who at that time was working collecting information on the work and life of Tomaso Albinoni, said he had found among the ruins of the Dresden State Library (destroyed after the fierce bombardment during World War II) a supposed manuscript fragment in which so only the bass staff and six bars of the melody appeared, attributing it to the famous Italian author.
    From there (according to the musicologist himself) he worked on arranging and finishing the composition, resulting in said work, which was published for the first time in 1958.
    Musical experts from all over the planet agree that the famous Adagio in G minor is an entirely original composition and composed entirely by Remo Giazotto, who died on August 26, 1998, remaining as its discoverer and without receiving nor enjoy due recognition in life as the author of such a great composition.

      But still a fantastic piece of music

    • @MusicArtstrings
      @MusicArtstrings  2 роки тому +4

      Either way, big doubts: Why did not Remo Giazotto give his name to such a brilliant composition? Why? Maybe because he was just a coward ? The Adagio is always associated with the name Albinoni! „It will forever remain for the whole world the "Albinoni Adagio". That's life. Many musicians think Giazotto was a coward, he did not have the courage to write a tonally beautiful classic baroque hit under his name. He himself, he alone is to blame! And surely he himself thought Albinoni sounds more interesting and more beautiful than Giazotto? (right, too) He found his own name too uninteresting.
      Can you imagine the Beatles have released one of their ingenious songs under the name Schubert ? - Can anyone imagine that Paul McCartney would have named Hey Jude or Yesterday as composer Elvis Presley? (or Franz Schubert) So stupid can not be a genius composer. Remo G. is himself to blame...whoever comes too late punishes life. C'est la vie! „And why do not we know another great work by Giazotto?“ (there is nothing, no beautiful or brilliant music !, absolutely nothing) Did he really compose it? (or a friend ?, or one of his students?) big doubts.
      And our version is an absolutely new arrangement without organ.

    • @rodolforagonesi7838
      @rodolforagonesi7838 7 місяців тому +6

      Yes you make some valid points. The full provenance of this incredible masterpiece will remain forever a mystery. Maybe, to be fair to him, he credited Albinoni because the pieces he found were the foundations of the music that he then arranged. So maybe he was loyal in crediting him. And that woukd expla9n why he never produced anything else of that calibre.@@MusicArtstrings

      J'éprouve un grand respect pour ce que vous dîtes et comment vous abordez les choses, avec philosophie et un courage frisant la détermination. C'est admirable.
      J'aime aussi beaucoup l'Adagio d'Albinoni, une très belle oeuvre empreinte de tristesse pour moi... Connaissez-vous "Le Canon en Ré majeur" de Johann Pachelbel ? C'est une œuvre majeure qui a été reprise dans de nombreuses versions, dont l'originale.Il existe une version de 3 heures d'ailleurs, sans pub, offerte par Mathieu Péré-escamps, et que j'écoute pour m'endormir. Elle est censée nourrir nos huit acides aminés essentiels, à 432 Hertz, c'est du moins ce que j'ai lu...
      Je ne remercierai jamais assez Johann Pachelbel de nous avoir donné ce joyau d'art pur, c'est un créateur hors du commun.
      Le Canon a été repris plus d'une fois, par exemple par Maroon Five dans "Memories", très belle chanson écrite en souvenir d'un ami très cher décédé 5 années auparavant.
      Aussi par Ménélik dans "Je me souviens", un morceau de rap à l'ancienne je dirais, aux paroles émouvantes.
      Armando, vous avez bien fait de nous écrire, mes pensées vous accompagnent vers un bonheur durable. Belle fin d'année.

    Such beauty invokes the vault of sadness that will remain. Will never understand that I returned while the comrades remained. My futile promise remains. I will never forget you. So, perhaps the memory is of some comfort. A wreath is so little for a gift that exceeds any measure.

      I played this piece every morning on the way to college classes, back in the 80's. It's the most beautiful piece I've ever heard. (Instant inspiration and rapture on a cassette of hits from 1710). Love and hope still reigns!❣

      Don't let the media hype & propaganda indoctrinate us with their lies of hate; 99% of it is divide & conquer strategies by those that seek to weaken our society for their own gain. Call them what you want … Illuminati, deep state, 5th column etc. It has been going on since the Caesars … certainly since the renaissance.

    About three years ago, a family pet was about to die. I had recently heard of the concept of playing classical music to those near death as a comfort. So I thought it might be comforting to our pet dog as her time ran out. I played several short classical pieces lasting about 15 minutes. Then I played this adagio during which our sweet pet passed away. What a delight to know this was the last thing she ever heard.
