    Amazing value for money. I got the Zeiss V4 for the capped windage but the elevation turret does not lock. Just zero stop.

    • @tonygillahan
      @tonygillahan  2 роки тому

      Yeah the locking turret isn't as necessary as a zero stop in my opinion but it's a nice touch 👌🍻

    A little above my budget to put on my .303 being the tight arse that I am but I can win lotto and dream.
    Just wandering is that a special scope multi tool your screwing you scope with or did you pinch it out of your chainsaw kit🤔
    Thanks for sharing
    Love your work

      Haha that's fair enough.
      Yeah the windage zero was just using a chainsaw tool 🤣👍

    I worry that over the long term the rubber on the turrets will break down. I purchased the 5-30X56mm. I did a lot of research. The scope is assembled in Czech Republic. But some of the components are made in the Philippines. Their higher end models are made completely in Czech Republic 🇨🇿.

    • @tonygillahan

      That's fair mate. How are you liking the 5-30?

      Don't worry about the quality of the parts that came from the Philippines. They are made by Scopro, a manufacturer of firearm scope, lenses and electric sights owned and operated by Asia Optical Co. in Taiwan. The latter is a very established and one of Asia's largest optical component and product manufacturer. Scopro manufactures scopes and sights for Vortex, Burris, Trijicon, Nighforce, Sig and is one of the suppliers of lenses to Celestron and Leupold.

      4.5-27x50 vs 5-30x56 which one is better

      I absolutely love my 5-30X56. Had it on my Sabatti Rover Tactical 300 Win Mag bolt gun. But I decided to install another scope that doesn’t have a zero stop. Because I shoot reduce loads. And also shoot a few different bullet weights. Wasn’t using the stop because of that. It’s going on my new AR10 chambered in 300 Winchester Magnum. I did read a review on Snipers Hide that it doesn’t do great when facing the sun. Recommended a Sunshade. I bought one. But haven’t used it yet. My range doesn’t face the sun. To me it definitely hits above its price point.

    Hi Tony, just ordered a Optika 6 3-18-56 FFP today after seeing your tube video the other day. Paid $1150.00.
    What mounts did you use ??

      Not sure as I've never looked through the 5-30, sorry. But I'd assume it would be very similar.

      4.5-27x50 mrad1 vs 5-30x56 mrad rd which scope is better ???

    • @commonsense5709
      @commonsense5709 7 місяців тому

      @@hasant8593 Depends on which reticle you prefer and weight because the heavier 34mm 5-30x56 MRAD version doesn't have the horse shoe in the center for the quickest target acquisition as the lighter weight 30mm 4.5-27x50 MRAD1. There's a bit more total elevation travel too with the heavier 34mm 32 MILS vs 24 MILS I believe. I heard that Meopta was recently bought out so who knows if they will still honor the warranty going forward. I'd recommend saving up for a Nightforce NX8 4-32x50 F1 MIL-XT. I just bought 2 more on sale as a merry Christmas gifts to me.
