How to Configure BGP on Juniper From Scratch (IBGP)

- In this video we'll show you how to configure ISIS and BGP between two Juniper routers. We will be using ISIS as the IGP, and build the BGP sessions towards the routers' loopback addresses.
In this tutorial you will find the basic steps on how to configure BGP (we will make use of iBGP, or internal BGP). This is just to give you a basic overview of BGP as we will be publishing more advanced BGP videos soon that will include MPLS, layer 2 VPN and layer 3 VPN.
We will also show you how to configure basic export policies for you to be able to advertise your routes via BGP to neighboring routers.

Why are we having a 1g interface pointing to a 10g interface ? Working in an ISP I have never seen it set up like that as you would be physically limiting the link on the 1g side.
This is in a virtual lab, where those are the only interfaces available. This is not representative of the interfaces you'll use in the real world and is not of importance in this tutorial. The main focus should be the config.

We will set up a physical lab soon and do VC, software upgrades and troubleshooting. Remotely without internet... Well, that can only be done via physical hands, or install the software and set the reboot for a specific time.
If you are talking about guiding another person to do the upgrade without you having access to the equipment, then yeah, it can be challenging, depending on who you work with :)
